I like most of what Nissan has done here. The car isnt trying to be anything it really isnt. The implementation of the climate controls through faux wood is cool, but I dislike not having dedicated buttons for that system. I love that they ditched the cvt tho.
Hopefully there will be another wheel option for the Platinum bc the wheels looked different on their website leading up to updating the website with the pricing for the new Murano
The only thing holding me back from buying any Nissan product is their uncertain future. Hopefully they can get back on track and then will I consider buying a Nissan again.
@@JohnDoe-fy7sr Nissan will be fine. I own a 2021 Toyota RAV4 and a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder SL Premium.. absolutely love it. No CVT and rides like butter 👌
We've had a Murano as our comfy highway and winter vehicle since 2016. It's been a great roadtrip SUV. I'd say the V6 was one of the things I liked the most about the Murano. Not sure if I'll be considering the new one with variable 4 cylinder, which actually makes less power somehow. Mazda and Honda are both looking better in this class for sure.
It is the end of the world, at least the gauges are centered on the screen unlike the armada but the center screen has all of the issues with modern cars
This thing is awkward looking and reminds me of a Hyundai. But an uglier version. Lol @ 1:04 the rubber part above the headlight looks missing or crinkled.
turbo 4 with less power and worse gas milage than the much smoother 6cylinder. wow Nissan, really hitting it out of the park. No wonder they are going under, hopefully Honda can pull Nissan's head out of it's butt.
It’s trying very hard to be a Kia. I still think it’s a pile of junk the transmission will fail prematurely like they do in all the Nissans. Really hoping Nissan kicks the bucket and doesn’t merge with Honda

Blue leather! And a new transmission! Will miss the V6 but man, what a big step up! Really rooting for Nissan to make a strong comeback.
This is an rx lite basically. Nissan can make great products. They just cheaped out on cvt transmissions for so long as ruined their reputation.
this 1000%
Matt, thanks for all the videos you make especially the weekly updates. Your channel should have 3x the subscribers.

They ditched the CVT but that variable compression engine is 😅
Very tasteful looking inside and out. Can’t say that about certain Hyundai/Kias..
Had a 2016 Murano. Loved that car. Great in the snow. Good gas mileage. Super comfortable.
The exterior is definitely a step up, but I'm definitely not a fan of the wheels.

Didn't they just do a partnership with Honda? Doubt if they're going anywhere.

They are working on it.
Pathfinder is a winner!
Nissan isn't going anywhere

This has more torque than the out going model.
Good review as always Matt & I'm considering buying this new Murano one day for sure Matt
Thanks for watching!
@MattMaranMotoring You're welcome.
The Ford Edge was always a competitor to the Murano. Still confused as to why Ford discontinued it.
Because they edge is a pos that that nobody buys

That blue interior is so kool!
Hi, do you recommend Crown Signia than this vehicle? Fuel economy seems to make it a better value., just not as sporty.
YES NISSAN NO CVT
I agree: The sound of that 4-cyclinder engine is pretty good for what it is. Thanks for this review. 🙂👍
Appreciate the executive summary at the end. Some of these segments are a bit confusing.

Great review. I do like it very much. Still a Honda fan though 😂 let’s see what the Passport brings us
Thanks for watching!
Buick? Kia? Ford?
Wet belt? No CVT is a plus. Engine bay full or plastic?.
it's good they dropped the cvt, but the vc turbo engines are hot garbage
Looks cool but needs better engine and just keep it simple with the HVAC controls!
The deal breaker for me is
The front DRLs Reminds me of a Hyundai 🤮🥴
New murano has nice design
The engine isn’t an improvement and the body styling is boring, iMHO

Is it new? Looks outdated already…
@@c7406-q8c no it does not. Stop it
Capacitive buttons and making us use the touchscreen for some climate control features will not help Nissan survive past 14 months
Piano black is such a joke now
Nissan is lost cause

This doesn't use the same CVT automatic transmission previous Muranos have had. This has a newer conventional 9-speed automatic
