Eric, I've been subscribed for about 6 months now and it is great to see how far you have come. Both in the quality of your builds and the quality of your videos. I'm 57 and been woodworking about 6 years, by the time you are my age you will be a master craftsman. Good job.
At my age and interest level, I do not plan on ever needing a cruiser board press. But as an avid woodworker, I give you kudos for a well done project and video.
I love that this doesn't require a vacuum bag like a lot of the other skateboard videos I've seen. I just got a book on skateboard making and plan to build one soon. P.S. Is your song an instrumental version of "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta" by the Geto Boys, popularized in the movie Office Space? If so, that's awesome.
Great job! Think about briwax on your templet. When you glue everything up; the glue won't stick to the wax. Also, think about titebond 3 for your boards. It is water proof and a little flexible. Since you kids will be using these boards outside, there is always a chance of rain. Grandpa Wright
Hey Eric, great press! I'm looking forward to seeing how the deck turns out. I've made a couple of decks myself and have a video of one of them on my channel. Great trailer, did you ever get your cat to bevel the edges properly?
Very nice! I do have one safety concern. You should have some form of a push-block or support on the material between the table saw guide fence & the blade. There is a very real danger of the unsupported material being kicked back at you. I've seen it happen & the saw operator was injured.
Kyleigh Kitchenmaster If you look closer, you will see a little wood block at the beginning of the fence. It call a “spacer” and that is the best way to work like he does. Learned that at woodworking school.
I had know idea what a cruiser board press was..but looking in the comments ...now i know! lol.. But damn man at 6:08 your fingers came so close to that table saw blade!!! Dude watch that shit man!!..I've noticed in your other vids that you get close to the blade when you slide the board back over to the fence to make another cut...please please be careful dude!!.i dont want to see a vid of a accident you had!!.. And sorry for swearing as i dont normally do.. be man that freaked me out!!..Also i think you should invest in a sliding compound miter saw..it would make a lot of cuts easier i think..Otherwise keep up the great woodworking and camera/editing work!
