I made a wood putter about 20 years ago. I melted lead and filled large channels with it to get the weight correct. It was beautiful. Modeled after a two ball.
Very nice! Most putter faces have about a 2 degree loft to prevent the ball from skidding when hit.... I'm thinking a lower friction face might prevent skidding somewhat though...how does it roll with a wood face?

what was the weight of the putter head?
It’s only about 120 grams so I would recommend adding weight if you’re considering making one.
