    Nice honest review without the hype :) I was patiently waiting for LG to make this available in New Zealand but having seen your review I think I'll just hold out and hope they increase the refresh rate to 120-165Hz and make it HDR 600 or HDR 1000 (without changing any other specs ... i.e. USB-C / Thunderbolt / IPS). If they do that then I can't see how they won't sell gazillions????

      I think this is the ultimate size \ resolution. I think it will be a while to see an OLED version of this. My theory OLED monitors are cut out versions of 4K TVs panels that have defective pixels. In order to get an OLED versions of at this resolution they need to make 8k OLED panels.

    I can imagine someone like my late father trying to straighten it!
    Why not? In the belief that the black layer on a Teflon non-stick pan was some kind of tarnish, he spent a whole day scraping it off - we were all out at the time - when we got back, dad came in and said, “I’ve got all that black stuff off!”.

    Hey, thanks. Considering for home office. Not a gamer but I am a photographer and I do work at home when it will be handy to be able to open several Office documents side by side. Particular thanks for showing the stand dimensions. I was wondering if it would fit on my current monitor stand - but I think it will be tall enough standing alone so I'll get rid of the stand. It's a lot of money which is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet but I think I'll have to... I don't think anything else will do.

    Nice Review. Remember it's incorrect to label the monitor as 5k. It's 5k2k, so essentially a wider 4k and has the same pixel density as a 32" 4k display.

    • @vaylx2253
      @vaylx2253 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much this. He lost me at 5k. Dislike from me.

    • @ryanmann9775
      @ryanmann9775 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      32" 4k pixel density is too tiny and requires using OS Scaling for most people as a work screen so defeats the point of having more pixels for more screen realestate. So a larger 40" 5k2k* ultrawide with the same pixel density is actually preferable. I'm not really looking for the most amazing picture possible, I'm looking for 1 screen that can replace my 32" and both of my 27" 's so I only need 1 monitor on my desk.
      Sadly I think what I really want is 5120x3200 (16:10) and it will NEVER exist.

    Hi there. I bought this monitor after watching your video. I just would like to ask you couple of important questions. I work with Lightroom + Photoshop and edit RAW files and inside Premiere Pro. Would you please tell what picture mode I should be in when I am editing RAW files inside Lightroom and Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Would that be sRGB or DCI-P3 or something else? Also do you need to calibrate this monitor using a calibration software such X-rite Display Pro. Thank you for your help.

      A bit late, but taking the risk of you having already found out, to answer your question; If you want to print you'd preferably grade on AdobeRGB. I don't know if this has space to store settings on the monitor but if so you should buy an xrite or similar to adjust the gamut and contrast values
