Would this work for a fresh graduate? I am in RCSI and UCD Malaysia program, would I still need to do the training in the UK and then come to Australia or can I just do the PLAB and come work in Australia.
I don’t think it works this way Dr Rizwan. With PLAB 1&2, you need AMC 1 for this to work as you mentioned. The only benefit of this Plab + Amc route is that it allows us to bypass AMC 2 since we gain general registration directly at the end of 1 year job experience in Australia. Please have a look once more into this.

Hi Dr. Rizwan, With all due respect - I do not believe this is true. As per the website and recent application by candidates eligible for CAP, they had to provide an evidence of 47 weeks of supervised practice in the NHS. In fact application was deemed incomplete even if only 46 weeks were completed. Please clarify further if possible. Thanks.
Interesting, that means candidates who applied had job offers and then board turned them down based on 47 weeks. In my limited understanding this could also be due to their lack of previous experience, level of supervision offered by Australian hospital. That said, doctors with PLAB have been offered jobs and obtained registration and the rule may vary on case by case basis. The path is free in terms of applying for jobs and if offered a position then go apply for registration.
Hello Dr Rizwan, thank you for making the video, I appreciate your effort to make things a bit easier for IMGs to apply for job in Australia, I was wondering, if someone has got 1 year experience in the NHS, can they get the complete registration or they will get the provisional registration followed by 1 year supervision to get complete registration ? With plab 1&2 and NO UK experience, you won't be eligible for registration via competent authority pathway. Either get 12 months clinical experience from equivalent healthcare system or do Amc1. 👍🏾
Please read link below there is no mention of passing AMC1 after passing PLAB as part of competent authority pathway www.medicalboard.gov.au/Registration/International-Medical-Graduates/Competent-Authority-Pathway.aspx
@@EmergencyFocus Meeting the competent authority pathway criteria requires both the exam(plab1&2) AND 12 months post-examination experience in any equivalent healthcare system. Yes, Australia clinical experience can be substituted for the post-examination experience . However, gaining Aust. experience requires either limited or provisional registration which cannot be gained by passing plab1&2 alone.
@TringTring-my7qx The only way around it is for some Dr's already working with amc1 via limited registration, due to better outcome, prefer to do plab1&2 rather than Amc2. That way, using the experience gained while already working in Aust. plus plab result to meet the CAP criteria. Lastly, New Zealand accepts plab1&2 without experience. So gaining 1yr experience in NZ + plab will meet the Aust. CAP criteria . 👍🏾

If you've passed both parts and completed your mandated 12 months of experience with GMC registration, you're free to apply to the Competent Authority Pathway!
@@EmergencyFocus getting fy1 in UK is equally tough in getting pgy1 in Australia right? So what should I aim for ?
After clear amc1 and secure job in Australia how much time takes to get pr? if having experience certificate 8 to 9 years from your home country and age is 40
Thanks Dr.Rizwan for such an information video.❤ Highly appreciate your response sir❤.
A very imp question i want to ask is which one would be preferred for job in Australia, one with only AMC-1 + 12 months post internship experience in Pakistan+ BLB,ALS etc courses + 6 research experienceas with one published or the one with PLAB 1+2 , 1 year post internship experience in Pakistan+ BLS,ALS etc cources + 6 research experienceas with one published?
Job is based on clinical experience more the better and WHY does anyone not say about CV application and interview skills which are largely very basic and lead to failure to get job. I have seen pretty junior doctors who have great outcomes with good cv, quality and quantity of applications and exceptional interview skills … THIS is also a major reason
Does plab 1 and plab 2 give complete exemption for amc 1 and 2 both or just amc1 exemption ?
Plab 1 and 2 with GMC reigstration and mandated experience give complete AMC exemption
Whether plab 1 can help to get job in non clinical category.
unfortunately not doctor
Dr Rizwan kindly tell us after plab 2 training is necessary in NHS OR any private sector
And 1 year complete training in NHS just apply Via CAP no need of AMC1?? @EMERGENCY FOCUS
Yes, after mandated NHS experience, you are exempt from AMC exams.

Hi Doctor, I need to ask another question. This 12 months supervised work in the UK, can it be anything? For example, if I have 12 months supervised work in surgery or pediatrics does it count? Or should I do it as rotations in different departments? Really appreciate it if you can clarify this. Thank you so much
Yes it can be any work in clinical capacity

Hello doc. After finishing internship in Turkey and plab 1-2 + 12 months of working in UK, what are the odds of getting a job in Australia? Also how many years of clinical experience would it require to get a registarship ?
If you internship is accredited and you have mandated UK experience, you have chances of opting for the Competent Authority Pathway!
Is Australia a safe country for Asians as the skin cancers due to UV are quite common there?
Hello sir I am from India will I be eligible for AMC 1 exam if my college is in WDOMS but not listed in AMC list
You will not able to verify your degree through the AMC portal.
Then it's honorable to remove this video as it's basically misinformation, asides the advert for your team/business.
If i didn't check the comments, i would have been misguided.😢
Let's keep our integrity even here
If I sit AMC part 1 and completed 12 months of supervised practice in UK, will i be eligible for general registration?
Yes
Dr. Rizwan is it possible to get a RMO (PGY2) job in Australia after only completing your internship, if you have some research experience?
Depends on the specialty, but unlikely. Mostly JMO jobs for applying for specialist training or residency!
is it possible to get a job in Australia after MBBS without house job back home but having done PLAB 1 and 2?
Plab 1 and 2 passed, GMC registration and 1 year of UK experience is required to work in Australia!

Hello, please after using this pathway to get into Australian medical practice and getting a permanent licence with time, can one apply for speciality ?
You still need to do amc1 or have 13 month uk experience and yes later down the line you can join specialist training
With plab 1&2 and NO UK experience, you won't be eligible for registration via competent authority pathway.
Either get 12 months clinical experience from equivalent healthcare system or do Amc1. 👍🏾
Please read link below there is no mention of passing AMC1 after passing PLAB as part of competent authority pathway
www.medicalboard.gov.au/Registration/International-Medical-Graduates/Competent-Authority-Pathway.aspx
@@EmergencyFocus
Meeting the competent authority pathway criteria requires both the exam(plab1&2) AND 12 months post-examination experience in any equivalent healthcare system.
Yes, Australia clinical experience can be substituted for the post-examination experience . However, gaining Aust. experience requires either limited or provisional registration which cannot be gained by passing plab1&2 alone.
@@chimezhm221yep 100% agree with you. How would they get registration without amc1 or without 1 year experience in the UK?
@TringTring-my7qx
The only way around it is for some Dr's already working with amc1 via limited registration, due to better outcome, prefer to do plab1&2 rather than Amc2. That way, using the experience gained while already working in Aust. plus plab result to meet the CAP criteria.
Lastly, New Zealand accepts plab1&2 without experience. So gaining 1yr experience in NZ + plab will meet the Aust. CAP criteria . 👍🏾
@@chimezhm221 Newzeland does require experience
Great vedio, thanks 😅
Please clarify this i have passed plab 1 and 2 have gmc but no uk work exp yet so can I apply for apraha registration and jobs in aus?
You may not apply for jobs unless you have 12-months of UK or alternative recognized work experience.
