Hopefully I haven’t left it too late and I can get a couple of jars worth before the end of the season. Might try some in a couple of large pots in the greenhouse as well just in case 👍🌱👍
Think I’ll be getting mine sown this weekend. Hope I haven’t left it too late! Might put some in pots in the greenhouse as well just to be on the safe side 👍🌱👍
I've been looking out for this video Mark, thanks! It was my first year on my allotment plot last year, so I didn't grow anything after the summer harvests because there were far too many other jobs to get done over winter! Far more prepared this year though, even have a greenhouse full of tomatoes and cucumbers over there now (big upgrade from the rubbish plastic greenhouse I had in the back garden last year! 🤣) so I'm gonna be watching with interest for things I can overwinter on my plot this year!
I’ve been at this a few years now and still don’t get my timings right 😂😂😂 I can guarantee you I’ll forget at least a handful of things to one and end up with empty beds 😋 One of these days we might just get it cracked 👍🌱👍
Weather Same here in ireland mark the wet is OK but the cold in July isn't good it goes down to 4deg at night, hard to know what to do, good video...thanks
It’s a bit nuts this weather at the moment. I don’t like it going down below 10c at this time of year as it can knock the tomatoes, cucumbers etc…. Hoping things get a bit warmer over night soon 👍🌱👍
Off to look for some kohlrabi seeds!!
The silverskin onions are a good idea, I can just imagine tucking into them on boxing day with all the Christmas leftover goodies.
Hopefully I haven’t left it too late and I can get a couple of jars worth before the end of the season.

I've currently got some silverskin onions on the go. I love them with a nice pork pie.
First time I'll be pickling my own home grown

👍👍 Thanks, Mark Why dont you try a pot of silverskins in a tub in your greenhouse as well. You might even crop them earlier. Elaine 🌱
