    This video helped A LOT. I’m trying to buy my boyfriend a system for his birthday and had no idea what any of this means. The video was easy to follow and simple enough so I could understand. Thank you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Response time is the amount of time it takes for a pixel on the monitor to change from one shade of grey to another and back again. What you described was input lag, which can be cumulative based on your pc equipment and/or monitor. Common mistake I see all of the time!! Be safe!

      Thank you for this. All this while I had been searching for a high response time monitor cos i thought the screen pixels would update faster

    • @asd7247286
      @asd7247286 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’d say you would expect the picture to change after given your input so response time would be part of the more broader term input lag

      Is it basically the time one pixel needs to change color, or only if its grey?

    Excelent video! I'm just a bit disappointed that a good video like this didn't mention that 99% of response times listed on retailer and manufacturer specifications do not represent reality at all, and should be outright ignored when purchasing. This is very important, and VESA is in fact issuing new testing standards like ClearMR to address that exact problem, but this standard is not widespread as of yet, which is why you should actually check 3rd party reviews and testers for realistic response times of your monitor

    I bought 240hz 1080p for competitive gaming and I don't play multiplayer games anymore except for co op games with friends.. I suggest going for 4k gaming monitor or TV with adaptive sync even if your games output 60fps in 120hz or higher hertz monitor you will see benefits with g sync turned on

    Really love this video - very simple to understand and helpful! As someone who uses Outlook and MS word and other applications in the MS suite extensively for reading contracts every day, the G27Q and it's BGR subpixel layout made reading text terrible. So unfortunate because it really excels in every other category for the price.

    • @ivaylotsankov7292

    Great video covering the topic. I have used triple 27" 60Hz monitors for years and going for a decent upgrade on my PC & monitors this year. I'm going Intel I9 12900K with 3090 or 3080ti, price depending. What would you suggest for monitors on this setup? I'm still thinking 27" x3 - 1440 with 165 refresh rate. But will the 3090/3080ti be able to take the inputs and run decent FPS?

    • @TechAuditTV
      @TechAuditTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you enjoyed the video! What you are planning is perfect. I run a 3070 Ti on a triple monitor setup (1440p 144hz) and if I'm not streaming while gaming on a game like Warzone I'll pull around 120fps. One of our Discord mods has a 3090 in his system and he'll pull 140-150fps. So it depends on the game (Fortnite you'll pull higher frames) so the specs you listed for those monitors would be PERFECT in my book.
      Join our Discord and post pics once you get it setup! Would love to see it!

      @@TechAuditTV Thanks for the supportive reply. My main worry was the display ports but I think it comes with x3 display ports and x1 2.1 hdmi. I use VR as well so gonna have to figure it all out once I build it. PC part picker I'm using for the build and got the z690 - 32g ddr5 ram and other parts already mentioned including cooler fans, lianli caseXL for 1900 which I don't think is bad. Then just need to source the best card I can get. Will upload on my channel once its built. Not going water cooling other than on cpu.

    I will be buying a new desktop computer, which I'm still trying to decide on. It will be for myself and my 12 year old son who likes to play Minecraft, Zelda tears of the Kingdom, and I will be puting the Sims 4 on it for myself and I also play Tears of the Kingdom. In the future we may add some more games so keep that in mind.
    Based on what I've told you so far what monitor would you recommend and if you do have a recommendation on a PC desktop gaming computer it needs to be under $1,200. Thank you for any time you spend answering my questions I really appreciate it hope to hear from you soon as I will be doing this fairly soon since Black Friday sales are on now.😊

    For what i have been researching, the perfect monitor does not exists, unless you pay 500+dlls. Either the monitor has ghosting, backlight bleeding, lack of accuracy in colors, not true HDR, not very good g sync, flickering, the monitor behaves weird depending on what gpu you have, latency, dead pixels, weird sounds, no in-built speakers, poor contrast, low quality UI buttons, poor tilt, height adjustment, mounting or non existent, and many other stuff that I`m forgetting. I really don't know what to buy anymore.

    People that do not think HDR is an absolute game changer haven’t seen true HDR. I am keeping my eye on the Acer X32 FP supposedly coming Q1 2022. I tried the PG32UQX and went through 2 of them! They have no quality control. Dead/stuck pixels and the worst blooming imaginable. I currently have the PG27UQ and it’s honestly better than the PG32UQX. This new Acer one is mini led but with half the zones as the 32UQX. It’s also HDMI2.1 4K, 165hz and VESAdusplayHDR 1000 certified. Also it’s 32”

    Constructive criticism here. In the beginning of the video you said you would give me an understanding of what the monitor naming scheme means, but you talked about resolution, refresh rate, response time and didn’t touch in the naming scheme at all. I already know what I’m looking for as far as specs but I don’t know the difference between 1a and 1b in the naming, idk what VG means for Asus or what qfd or qrf means. LG for instance has a gl850a and gl850b
