    vanakam bro Tamil and english also have many similarities :
    1. victory (english) = vettri ( Tamizh )
    2. cash = kaasu
    3. win = vel
    4. wagon = vaaganam
    5. Terra = tharai
    6. kill = kol
    7. prize = parisu
    8. mega = miga
    9. mad = madamai
    10. path = paathai
    11. bottle = butti
    12. nerve = narambu
    13. navy = naval
    Remove first letter from english words;
    1. A" ttack" = thaaku
    2. rice = arisi
    3. M"ake" = akkam
    4. S" peech" = paechu
    5. G" Inger" = inji
    6. S"udden" = udan...

    This is hilarious because I am a Cameroonian and I also speak broken Tamil (I've been learning passively for 5 years or so). I remember watching that video a long time ago and was not particularly phased by it because I'm a polyglot myself and I easily see linguistic patterns everywhere (for example, I see a lot of similarities in Tamil and Japanese when it comes to syntax and tenses).
    My tribe (the Bamileke) comes from three regions (and 1100Kms) further down the Mandara mountains (which are in Fulani/Fulbe country), but our ancestry is linked to the Jews who migrated from Israel into Western Bantu territories...but got stopped in their tracks by established West African and Muslim kingdoms! So they ran away from Islam and settled in mountain areas to keep their cultures, customs and rites intact (we are a VERY conservative bunch!).
    My dialect (Yemba) uses tones like Mandarin Chinese and a lot of people from my tribe naturally have South-east Asian/Pacific islanders features like round cheekbones, slanted eyes, plump lips and pitch dark curly hair. I live in Australia and I easily pass for a Torres Strait Islander, but when I travelled to South TN (Kanya Kumari, Madurai, Tiruchi, etc) a few people talked Tamil to me, thinking I was a local. Still, the same could be said for some South African and Tanzanian people, so take it all like a pinch of salt.
    All in all, the Asian connection is there in Cameroon and Inner Subsaharian Africa, no doubt. :)

      @@dennisrichards5110 Hi Dennis, good to hear that!
      I don't know what to recommend for reading about because what I know is the result of collating facts, stories and conversations left and right within my family, around my village and from my people since I was a child (I'm in my mid-30s). I'm not really an anthropologist/sociologist, nor am I studying histories and cultures in an academic setting.
      That said, there are a few documentaries/videos/academic articles online that can help people familiarise themselves with the Cameroonian culture. The only problem is that they would be mostly in French (Cameroon is bilingual French-English due to its colonial history).
      Where about are you based in this world? And what languages/cultures are you mostly interested in? I might be able to dig into my old bookmarks and find some links, but it would depend on your answers.

    Good efforts. Tamil is the origin of all languages. Tamil literatures dates back to Before Christ.
    1)Thiru Kural(holy voice/carol)..
    was written by the holy sage Thiru Valluvar/Vallavar/holy Valor(holy Man of Valor)..500 years before Christ.And the Thiru/Holy kural/carol is the ditto of Holy bible.
    .2)Slappadikaram(history of anklets
    written by the sage Ilango adigal..who was a prince originally
    ...5th century BC.
    Tamils are Dravidians..who ruled the whole world originally.
    Their kingdom was called Cholam Nadu/.Sola Nadu and the king was called Sola King,honoring the Agricultural God named after their main food of Solam.Original Tamil of Cholam means cereals., but later on attributed to the major food.Cholam.Actually maize is maiza/maidha ( wheat) ..what you people are handling for Solam.Due to the colloquial usage the language underwent many changes.
    Why you are searching out side your country for Tamil .. yourself English has the origin of Tamil.
    Paradice=Paradesh..Heaven
    Song=Songeedam
    Upper=Upperigai(above ground/Terrace)
    Example:-Rani(Queen)& Raja(king)/upper place of stage at palalce or auditoriums.
    Magen( names of the Westerner)
    means Magan (son).
    Po has been transformed to Go.
    Cow is also Cow/CO in Tamil
    The sacred Animal Cow is called Cow/Co Madha... again got another Tamil-English.
    Madha is Mother.Cow/CO means holy
    Then pulam is Temple. Then pulam means south side (Agartala/Shambala)
    Then /Thaen/Palestain
    Paal(milk)+thaen(honey)=Palestain.
    Like this so many words.
    All the Tamil literatures are either along with moral story or only about moral.
    Thiruvalluvar has written 3 literatures
    1)Arattu paal about morality
    2)Porul paal(wealth)about wealth.
    3)Kamattu paal about love.(what we have gone through this video.
    All the literatures' Tamil is written with some mathematical calculation like modules 11..and that will have a final/approved lines a poem.If mathamatical derivation fails the Tamil will be unfit for poem.
    If you have known Tamil you will enjoy the literatures of Tamil.So try to learn Tamil and teach otherss.
    During Tamil Kingdom Periods the Tamil kings conducted Tamil poem debates.. and gave precious gifts to the winners.
    Please watch the Tamil film "Thiru Vilaiyadal" with English subtitles.Another sample..
    Boodtagam=Book.
    Budthi+Agam=budthagam
    Budthi is knowledge.
    Agam is house.Tamil books are knowledge house.So learn Tamil.,and read Tamil Books.,
    Aathichoodi,Thaevaram,Silapadigaram,Thiru kural., which are amazing.
    The word "budthi" might have transformed to" book".,in English
    Mary=Maari in Tamil
    Victory=Vettry(வெற்றி)in Tamil.
    Kabala(the central theme of Judaism)=kabalam in Tamil
    Kabalam means skull.

      And just for your knowledge there is not a single proof that can be classified as the written proof that tamil is older than 2000 to 2500 years old but I can told you one thing Buddhism was all written in Prakrit which is a language derived from Sanskrit buddha criticised brahmanical system and you know what brahmans used the mantras in sanskrit
      One more thing the script which is used today in any indian language is not indian itself. I'm not here to debate which is the oldest one but both the tamil and sanskrit are old. I am a hindi speaker which is a language derived from Prakrit after too many changes. The tamil which is used today in tamil nadu is not the tamil which was used before Christ. In Botswana and Congo, the Bali language is spoken, and they speak that same language in Indonesia today. Many other examples..

      You know Sanskrit is dev language and Tamil is lok language.
      There are few words which were derived from sanskrit.
      As I said Sanskrit is a god's language and Tamil is our lok language just like eng is derived from Latin, simple persons like us have lok languages inspired from old ones.

    Sir did you know, Ethiopia and india was known as Abyssinia like 4000yrs ago. That's coz they migrated over 8000yrs their language and culture came from Africa.
    Abyssinia was identified as two Ethiopias,, one as west of red sea and one as east ,which was india.
    All dialects including tamil and samskrit came from Africa. Many don't know, and those that do know where these languages came from deny it. For some reason otherwise unknown they claim its european etc. But it's the connection with those in the Horn of Africa thousands of years ago who did trade there like slavs, greeks, and other that spread these languages. If you are interested I can give you more info.
    I believe tamil is oldest, 😊
