So why did you want the 2-1? I like the sound of them. Like you I'm done with the loud noise while riding. Just curious as to your reasoning behind your decision. Sad, no Beautiful Ms B ;-)
I bought the 2:1 for one reason mainly, more torque. I lost a lot of torque with the True Duals and was very disappointed them. They were also a little louder than I wanted and there are damn near perfect. Still waiting for an opportunity to get it tuned but soon hopefully.
Haven’t had it tuned yet so as soon I get that done I’ll let you know. I’ve experimented with some tunes that come with the DJ PCVX but none of them are setting me on fire yet
Sounds nice! Am running FP True Duals with FP Eagle slipons and my setup sounds like your 2-1 (those Indian Stage1 slipons sound kinda harsh at low idle but sing well at higher idle.) Also running Lloyd’s 558 cam & Tier1 tuner .. love it!! Awesome job on your install; you must have read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.. lol. 👍🏼
@@ronfuller9503 No but it's already a well known fact from others who did the testing. You lose the backpressure you'd have from an xpipe or cross pipe, however you do gain some back in the upper range.

Hi again, lol, so I called freedom performance about the 2 to 1 pipes for challenger, I wanted to know if those pipes had the saddle bag protectors on top of pipes to protect bags.? He eluded to there was BRACKETS supplied with set up. I know your ride is different but would you know anything about this. Also to keep cost down I may opt. For only 2 to 1 , not the ghost pipe? But undecided as of now. Thanks.

So the honest answer unfortunately is that I did my big bore about a week after I put on the 2:1 system so I don’t really have definitive numbers for you but I can tell you anecdotally my lower end torque was better with the 2:1 over the TD system
Nothing is really required at all. Should run fine just doing the exhaust. Gettin it tuned always makes it better but I would do it until you add an intake.
You may b right but I’ve been noticing with other set ups that the 2:1 tend to sound deeper, no matter the make. I did this for power. No other reason.
Freedom true duals sounds much more agressove. But for me and my bike i would go with the two into one. Put the 2 into 1 on the mrs bike and get rid of her cat converter!
Two into one definitely sounds better than the true duels. That being said no doubt freedom mufflers would have sounded better than Indian state one mufflers.helpful video all the same. I have stage one with stock head pipe and it sounds good but not as good. A friend just had true duel freedom with their mufflers put on a couple days ago and it sounded a lot better than mine also ha!
The 2 into 1 is a much better chop sound. I hear H.D. go by my house all the time. And the true duals sound more like a tractor coming down the road than a H.D. coming down the road. The chop is the term giving to the in consist sound of the motor exhaust.
I prefer the 2 into 1. The true duals are way too tinny in my opinion. It would drive me nuts hearing it. The deeper growl gets me.

Both sound glorious brother, but, I think I prefer the true duals as it sounds more pronounced / prominent 😁

Yeah the 2 into 1 sounds similar to a Japanese v twin. I guess if your stuck with the Freedom exhaust, id take the true duals as well.
2:1 sounds much better IMO. It's deeper and smoother where the true duals sound harsh and raspy.

The left side is a dummy or “ghost pipe”, not even connected to the exhaust system. You need it to support the saddle bag

@@rydahog yes, the bag supports are on the new pipes, welded on. You will need the ghost pipe to support the bags.

Actually, I like the sound of my Indian stage 1 exhaust and intake with the sharktail tips better. But these are still good.

The problem with true duals is the power loss which is why I went with the 2:1 system. It’s wasnt about the sound at all
