Outstanding Review, Thanks very much for making it. I have had a Benjamin Marauder .22 PCP rifle for about 7 yrs and used the hand pump to fill it. It is a fun and accurate PCP rifle to shoot. I got the Umarex Gauntlet 2 .25cal about two months ago and love it. I was originally filling the Gauntlet 2 with the Benjamin Hand pump, the best the hand pump could do was 250bar. Let me tell you that is a workout to get it to 250 bar. You will need to take lots of breaks:) The Gauntlet is deadly accurate and has tons of stopping power on raccoons and possums even at 35yds. I've actually taken it to my local outdoor gun range just to try it on longer ranges. It performs well and lots of fun to shoot, not to mention cheap on the ammo:) Lucky for me my son gave me an early Christmas present, a compressor, the GXE-CS3, can use 120v or 12volt car battery. The compressor is a life saver:) Thanks again for the good review.
Great video. When I first got my G2 I was looking for a how-to on loading the magazine. Couldn’t find one but I finally figured it out. Your video would have been immensely helpful as the view of you loading the mag was great! Keep up the good work!
Just got mine. Pleasantly surprised on balance, feel , shot cycle.... Mine is tough to cock, but getting better with break in. I plan to remove the action and adj the ridiculously long trigger pull, though the actual break weight isn't bad. I was torn between the 30 and 25. Glad I went with the 25 for shot count and ammo price. Maybe a 30 in the future. Mine loves the FX 34 gr at this point, over the hunter x h&n , which aren't terrible.
Kool, I just bought myself a stock gauntlet 2 25 & I love. Most accurate about 40-45 yards off hand. 70 shots I only missed less than 5 time pellets & slugs.
Nice review with good results. Perhaps, lying to myself that it will be my last purchase, this one will be my first Gauntlet in .30. That is a real beast. After four weeks back the Diana Chaser, then a Daisy pistol followed by the Gamo Fusion Gen3I and this week the Umarex .25 after waiting five months and having been able to buy this on only 1 European website, I have today determined that I still have some summer jobs urgently have to start before autumn and the long winter set in. An advantage, I am single so there is no woman who repeatedly says "Now do this and now do that" ........ .My apologies, to all the female viewers.
I sent my G2 25 to Hajiomoto and it came back a beast. I would love for your site to do a review on a Hajimoto-tuned Gauntlet. Also, after viewing your videos on the Beeman 1358 and Umarex Notos, I bought them both. Thank you for your great reviews.
Please do a story on a young boy name Dillon, he killed a yote, with a ruger that he purchased at Walmart. He was connected to gateway airguns, he claimed, a 40 yd shot, with a 14 grain pellet.
I bought the. 30. It's running 44 grains over the chronograph at 1005 fps, with 105ft/lbs and a standard deviation of about 4 fps. I topped it with a Hawke 3x9x50 vantage. I've shot about 250 rounds through it, so the barrel is starting to break in. After tuning the hammer, at50 yards I can shoot 7 shot groups with the Hades cover them with a dime, and not see any holes. It will penatrate 1 " of hardwood, both birch and oak. I shoot 3 magazines, (7 per) then reload and refill the cylinder which is at about 2800 PSI at that point. With the Donny FL Sumo, it's quieter than my sig asp in .22. The bolt is stiff, but if you put your thumb on the back of the receiver as a lever, it's not bad. Do I like it? Well DUH.
Your accuracy probably got better after the reg dropped off because the pellets were probably flying slower. Anything above 900 fps with a Diablo style pellet is their sweet spots. Anything faster causes the pellet to become unstable.
I have the 22 and its also hard for me to cock back after awhile of bench shooting im 69 and wife tells me its becuase im old and weak lol well i had to have her watch the video and heard what you said about the cocking how the bolt was hard to cock and so she ate crow and brought me a sandwich and a cold beer lol great video and good shooting Angie.
What these things cost shouldn’t they be accurate to 100 yards anyway and still be able to knock down some small game What do you have invested in that gun? I would think that’s a little expensive to shoot 35 and 50 yards
That's a great question, I had to go look at the video to see what you're talking about. It was I guess a different kind of day for me, really different. Not a fashion show. Maybe a sometimes different day. ;)

Great review, trying to decide between the 25 and 30!
Nice shooting AA. The G2 is a beast.
Thank you! Yes it is.

I'm a Junior Air Gun enthusiast and have you ever went wild hog hunting using a PCP air rifle and if you did which is the best air rifle to use?
Welcome!! I have, my all time favorite one for hogs is the Umarex Hammer.
Please show how to fill the Gauntlet 2. Just bought it, going from the origin, do I need to change anything?
Thank's Dear Love ya Excellent
👍🏼🤟🏼🐿🤟🏼👍🏼

With the trigger creep your timing was off lol
the way its edited to appear like its semi auto is deceptive, why ????
It shouldn't have a sweet spot it regulatored until it fall off
Whatever you do don,t cock it with the safety on please its not good for the gun my gun didn't want to shoot after I took the safety off
The stock looks like it's made out of a plastic 2x6!!
Is this a fashion show.😢

Gun to big for you to hold little lady😂
