    It's hilarious when you compare this to the rubbish that gets nominated today. There's no way the Academy would wanna know about directors like Cassavetes and Trauffaut these days.

      @@DeathCruzer That's an exaggeration and you know it. Yes, The Godfather it's pretty much untouchable and it is indeed a magnificent film, but not everything has to be compared to it. All of those films I mentioned 2 years ago are great cinematic accomplishments on their own. Some might be closer to perfect than others, but to even think that they are something resembling rubbish is a bit too much.

      @@emigrant1510 Yeah they are not rubbish. They are all great films. I was wrong to compare two films since people have different tastes. Thanks for opening my eyes :)

    Funny how many people Hate Polanski... But They love Chinatown and The Pianist. Regardless, On my opinion The godfather part II was much better directed and produced than Chinatown... And better than The first one.

      Interesting you say this considering Polanski murdered no one and the young girl he had sex with asked him to do it and has since begged the public to please leave her and Polanski alone.

    • @heatherferreira4225
      @heatherferreira4225 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may be conflating Roman Polanski and the word "murder" with what happened to his wife Sharon Tate in 1969. THAT was murder. Roman Polanski has never murdered anybody. Charles Manson did. Roman's wife and unborn child.

    • @supermariofan03

      I always keep that shit and my love for film as far away from each other. Polanski may be a sick fuck, but he's a genius when it comes to his filmmaking. That's also how I feel about Woody Allen.
