I feel you Matt. My dad always out fished me. I told him he put me at the wrong end of the boat, again! Lol. He loved to fish and so do I. Wished he was still here. Enjoy every minute with your dad, mom and brother.
It's great to see all of you guys together. Mr. T is catching up with Matt. I miss going fishing and you guys make it seem so easy, but I know its hard work. Bless all of you. I really enjoy all of your videos.
Hallo ihr vier 😀, Ihr sind richtig super, macht richtig Spaß Euch zugucken zu dürfen. Die meisten Folgen habe ich zweimal geguckt. Macht weiter so. 👍 Liebe Grüße 😀
Sure enjoy your video's!! Family and very hard work on the Ocean is a Family that work's well togethere is Wonderful especially today's Life!! Very Special 💞
Great teamwork -- efficient but not hectic. Your style of take what you need and leave the rest can be watched without the uneasy feeling one gets upon seeing huge nets being winched aboard a great floating processing plant, filled tight with everything from small fish to non-target species, dead or close to death and no chance of recovery even if thrown back.😊👍
I've been watching for you to drop this, and somehow I missed it when you did! So here I am up in the middle of the night just finishing watching it at 1:49! Nice trip, appreciate you showing ADFG and their work to sustain the fishery. Someone needs to get the second girl a Dexter knife!
It sure was nice to see all of you, Mom, Dad, Tristen, & Matt! Once back to unload, did you notice anything lurking in the water behind Matt? It was like a blob. I thought it was interesting about how they could tell the age of the fish. Hope each of you have been well, looking forward to your next fishing trip. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week.
Hello Great fishermen, u men r totally awesome fishermen. Like u guys videos n well like tat way u handle yr operation. Especially when u had yr Line all wound up n twisted. The patients u guys hv really great. Well I am actually speechless men iam from Way south Texas in the 956 area code we just do sport fishing tats it. But Enjoy vit. Ok God Bless you All men. Great group of ALASKANS LATER Amigos 😮😮😊😊😂😂
i just wanted to let you know that several years ago i asked what kind of knives you used. you let me know and i was going to buy one from amazon. i put it in my cart but before i placed the order i found one at a thrift store for just five dollars.this is the best knife ive ever had.
WLDF down in here LA do the same with the ear drum for redfish...they explained it has rings around them like a tree can tell a lot reference age, growth rate ect...
I have caught one of those green ling you called it before. My buddy called it a Tommy cod. I thought it was funny looking with the botox lips . It had nicer lips than Pamela Anderson hehehe.
We have seen this one a couple times wonderfull thank you. Are rock fish considered mild flavor? They just don’t lol like it. But we have eaten some marvelous cat fish and they don’t look like they are good at all.
Would it not be less back breaking work on unloading your catch if you use a couple of gaffs with long handles to grab the fish instead of your hands. I think as you get really fast at it this may save the back a little. I'm sure your hands get really cold during this process as well. What about a long chain stringer you hook the fish as you place each fish in the hold hooked to the stringer and as you pull up the stringer you remove the fish from the hold one below the other. There has to be an easier way. Hard work is fun I suppose. I enjoy your video's. Wish I could go fishing with you guys. I live in South Carolina high and dry.
Oh n Hope smday u guys will give this old man a Big Hello from Alaska or where u guys b at I will try to Fallow ok. Excuse my writing , just slowly loosing smithing Jajajaja 😂😂😂😢😢😮😮😅😅😅😅❤
I think that big holding chest holds about 4600lbs of Rockfish? Hey "T," you do a magnificent job of working around those other Cod Catchers without getting snagged! Awesome skills. When and if you have a minute could someone explain the reason you keep the species. Of Rockfish divided once they are being unloaded, does the quota have anything to do with either?
The main holds packs 5000# rockfish which happens to be our trip limit.. The reason we separate the species is for reporting purposes. All fish get weighed and reported on a fish ticket so they can be managed within the quota. Separating the dark and dusky rockfish from the black rockfish (our target species) makes offloads easier and also helps us gauge the total pounds of black rockfish onboard.
I think T would benefit if he had a strap that went around his head to keep his glasses from always falling off his eyes. He constantly has to push his glasses back up which is a pain to him and also slows his productivity..
Ha! I was just about ready to make the same comment about the net in the hold. How about a bucket on a spring pole to help lift the fish out? I'd sure think of something.
We get that comment a lot! A net in the hold would get hung up on the overhangs and make lifting out hard. They are also very hard to clean and sanitize. Offloading goes quite quickly. About 45- 60 minutes to offload.
In Norway, even small scale coastal fishermen use a container system in their hold. No problem with cleaning or snagging, just hook it to the crane and up it goes. No problems with icing the fish either.
You would think after watching you guys for so long I’d know it by heart lol must have gotten to excited to order that my brain got a brain fart while typing lol

Hello from the 956 area code in HARLINGEN TEXAS BBY WERE GOOD PEOPLE FROM 😂😂😂. 😅😮😮
id like to see a close up of how you unhook fish from the hook with the gaff .seems so easy when you just give it a little flip and it releases
I guess I’ll be out there a lot longer once you get the other boat finished and bringing a lot more fish I guess
I have caught one of those green ling you called it before. My buddy called it a Tommy cod. I thought it was funny looking with the botox lips . It had nicer lips than Pamela Anderson hehehe.

They are pretty mild, a very easy type of fish to cook with.

😳😝 fishing deep I see!
I suspect this has been asked but could there be a way to suction out the ice?
Nice haul of fish. Matt what brand of jackets do you and brother have on at the end. They are jazzy looking.

Hay Matt now you're getting Tristan trained up when are you going to give the old fella a trip off😂.
I think T would benefit if he had a strap that went around his head to keep his glasses from always falling off his eyes. He constantly has to push his glasses back up which is a pain to him and also slows his productivity..
Great haul. What type of rockfish were the bulk of the catch?
Hi strawcarpenter! Black rockfish was our target species. A little shy of our trip limit, about 4800#.
@@EISAlaska Nice! It looks like you could add a couple more jigging rigs to keep Tristan busy 😉.
We will add a few more on the Emerald Isle (6 machines is the limit), but 4 is optimal on the Fish Tale as they tangle if they are too close.
The American dream
Hey guys great video, please send some fish over to London, UK in an envelope I'd love to try them with some chips 🙂
super
Are those black cod? D o catch any yellow eyes?

Christmas tree rigg
When you have hundreds of these commercial longliners fishing they really wipe out certain areas for hundreds of years !!!!
Where can you purchase your machine?
Hey Matt, What everyone else said, Total pounds please?? Nice catch!
5K total. Thanks!
Dusky's or blacks - modified sabiki rig?
Black rockfish. Homemade gear. :)

You would think after watching you guys for so long I’d know it by heart lol must have gotten to excited to order that my brain got a brain fart while typing lol
What was the total weight of that load?
Total of black rockfish was 4800#. I think the dark rockfish was 250 pounds or so.
Gods grocery store
why don't you put water in the box to make it easier to remove the fish?
I want to fish with you.
