What a refreshing tour to watch. Relaxing riding, taking your time enjoying the scenery and friends. Instead of people trying to prove themselves in terms of how fast or how good they are. Great stuff
Thought I would leave a comment on the last episode as me and the wife have had you on our big Telly ! me and the wife loved every episode watched it as a box set, brilliant. The 4 of you make for great viewing and laughter. The mucky wind shield after the slaughter of many bugs and the added rain and dust would have driven me crazy,, but I think thats one reason I ride a naked bike love the open front end. The cost was spot on for a week of fun as well thank you for sharing the things that can show others that its not out of reach and might just give them the nudge to do the same.

I have been touring France with a group which i say goodbye to tomorrow and head for the Arden and Bastogne to visit the war museum. Good info from your little tour. 👍
Hi Andy You made a comment and I apologise if it’s been answered about reading bends. Vanishing point you probably already know about bit that’s the method. Where the sides of the road ahead converge, as you approach that point either comes toward you (tightening up), stands still (very tight) or moves away (match the pace). When the point runs away chase it!
That was a good trip I have also had a good trip travelling from North Wales to Buckinghamshire around the Chalfonts and Missenden area lovely B roads down to Windsor.

Entertaining! Thanks! I used to have a '82 Honda GL500 Silverwing years ago, reliable as heck, not a sport bike either but I can imagine what it must be like manuevering a 800lb Goldwing 1800 in tight spots.
Just back from an 11 day tour of Europe as far down as Lake Garda in Italy. Saved over a couple of grand EACH (Three Of Us) on what a famous touring company wanted.
You made a good point about being able to see when pulling out from junctions...especially the more obtuse when looking over your shoulder. I've found with increasing age I cannot turn my neck sufficiently to observe any approaching traffic. I find I rely on the mirror more and more, swinging the handlebars to get a better view. Also I know exactly what you mean about cobbled streets. Where I live there was a particular crossroad that was cobbled....why this was I've no idea...they were terrible to ride over when dry and nerve wracking when wet.!!

I've always wanted to go back and see more of the place, and this series has really made it a cert', especially with the price break down at the end of this last episode showing how reasonable the cost is for a week's tour. Really enjoyed watching the series. Interesting that you have concluded that the Honda satnav isn’t up to a real tour. I agree, more than adequate for local ‘point to point’ stuff, but for a full tour, it is woefully outdated. I have taken this up with Honda Europe but you adding the same comment may solicit more of a response from them. Incidentally, I have now added a Garmin XT. Thanks again.
I've really enjoyed your 5 Countries in 5 Days series, it was informative, entertaining and was definitely one of the best touring vlogs I've seen for some time (only rivaled by your trip to Norway) the two things that struck me most in your travelvlog was the stunning scenery and the incredible empty roads , I found myself constantly checking the mirrors on your wing to see how many cars were behind you , 9 times out of 10 there was nothing behind you but empty road , brilliant.

Very enjoyable series. The little slide show of pics towards the end, of your nights out showed how much fun you was all having. I have toured abroad so I'm familiar with the costs but I like the way you both showed it at the end so anyone thinking of trying a tour for the first time will have a better idea. However I would say the costs can vary. But I think a lot of people will find it useful info. I'm looking forward to your next tour....
Andy, great vids that took me back to when I lived in Germany at Ramstein. I know that whole area well (as well as the Wendover region near you). Noted you skirted into Germany. As way of a respectful suggestion for a tour in the future you may wish to look to take in Trier, Idar-Oberstein, Ramstein (Airbase) lots of ups and downs and sweeping roads and travel a little further south and the Weine Strasse Speyer, Heidelberg etc. Also, sorry on the wrong comments page but yes more flying please, I am just about to start this adventure of flying lessons as I have now just turned 60!!!!!
Another great set showing what can be done on a motorcycle, loved it and gave me ideas for when I am ready to set off and my recent purchase, BMW K1200lt 2004. Just need to get used to it before i get my wife on it and away we go. These videos have helped me decide what I want to do and ideas where to go. Massive thanks and keep them coming. Ride safe both.
I’ve been to the Ardennes a number of times on tour and can throughly recommend it. We normally left Calais and took the Autoroute to St Quentin and then headed across country to get there. Fabulous roads with loads of cafes and hotels. Glad to had a good time.
Superb finale TMF and Carole with an e…. Nice touch to run the cost breakdown and the Mr & Mrs banter always makes my face smile. btw…TMF’s in a caravan!! I don’t feel so bad in my white van now 😉😂

Yes two countries that get little glory - the aim of this set of videos was to set that straight a little....both well worth a visit in their own right.
Great series again and as others have said, nice to see Mrs Flyer co-starring. Bit of a bummer about the satnav on the Wing not being up to scratch. You wouldn't think after buying a bike that expensive that you would have to consider getting another satnav!

Great trip kids! It was fun tagging along. Here over on this side of the pond I always try to scout for good Belgium beers, so I've always wanted to go there to personally taste one fresh out of the tap. Cheers! Nice job!
