Update 11/2023: After a few flights and a couple minor crashes, the OSD stopped working. This FC was a backup and took a while to use it. There are too many people reporting the RX has also failed. I do not recommend at this time.

Thank you so much, brother! I was going round in circles until I watched you video. The model mismatch was not an obvious fix. For hours, I had been scanning thru CLI dumps for Happymodel Baseline, swapping between 4.3.2 and 4.4.1 and even attached a lipo without soldering - of course none of that worked, just stuck with rx bound but no stick movement.
Works lovely now!

All my HappyModel FCers have failed. The Crossf4 made it through less than 20 packs before burning out. I have a Betafpv board on the way...

I’d love to hear more in depth about your multi meter check and why you’re looking for what numbers and everything. I use my multimeter for continuity checks and that’s it haha. I’m noob status

Thank you for sharing, great video! especially the technical revision part(to me) its a must now that I'm aware of potential flaws in the VTXs systems, still bit disappointed to be honest and like you said the frustration its real, I think I'm just going to save some money and go digital from what I seem, please no hate at the end its to have fun. :D cheers and keep up on sharing, I'll pass your vids to some friends that also want to start doing bit more with their RCs(still don't want break the bank-ANALOG). and FPV its a nice touch to have a good time, and not feel frustrated by technical problems that come from factory, no good for any beginner with zero experience in RC electronics at least(no wonder people give up).

As far as analog video goes, I wire everything (even all-in-ones) the same. Here's the video of exactly how I do it.

Ep1 rx is the one we should be using, "continues to show ep2 being used" just when binding your spi based receiver couldn't get anymore complicated

no built in VTX, but they have a table loaded. seems like a liability to assume someone is adding an openvtx transmitter. Build and flash, I only do when I need to use FTDI or BF passthrough.
I'm going to have to agree. If there was no table loaded, the new person would have to seek it out. Do you suppose my computer loaded it from history - watching that portion of the video again, I saw the opentx table load over a different table in a second. I could step the video playback and see a transition, how bizarre...

I have the same HDZero plan. Put this board into a Meteor75 Pro frame. I am planning on going 2s with 1002 motors.
I'm going 603 / 1S... During the Museum Race, at the whoop house, I had the opportunity to fly and tune on this setup. I really enjoyed it.

Of course i need some help again. I looked in your videos and did not see this subject yet it is hard to navigate to find what you're looking for. Or i just dont know how.... but my question/problem is.. my screen went black. With osd. I took it apart and made shur the sodering wasnt touching. Believe i was happy with it.. turned on... and my video was on.. but then seconds later it started to fade to black. Got darker and darker. Than black with osd on screen. ¿???¿??
What could be causing this? Oh ya. Im running a meteor65.
Could it be just the camera?

It sounds like an over heating issue. They will fade out as they heat up. Depending how bad that was, it may work again after cooling off or its fried. The are made to have air flowing over them. Cameras, receivers, and VTXs heat up. It's a good idea to have a fan blowing on them while plugged in.
Do you have a different camera to test if it's just a camera swap?
Does this really capable of running 2s with that 5a? Or are these newer product pack some new tech that i suppose prevent it from burning mosfet in a few days?
It's says its 2S capable, I don't know of any 2S motors that won't torch a 5A ESC either...🤦🏻♂️
Does using xt30 pigtail with 100uF capacitor enough to use it with 500mah 2s battery?

Yes, that should be normal.
thinking of picking up this board for my next build but I can't figure out how to wire the VTX and Camera normally as I only see 1 5v pad. How did you wire your cam and VTX?
Doubled up the wires, the downside of using an OVX300... That's one nice thing about the Foxeer Reaper VTX, it has camera pads on it..

I have a question. I have the Zorro and a happymodel spi elrs 2.4 FC. I followed another video you had and all worked well for me. My problem now is that I can't take off unless I'm at 50% throttle and it's very punchy. Can you shoot me maybe some pointers if you have any idea why that is? Thanks
50% is very high to hover.. But yet it's punchy. I'll need more information to formulate an idea of what's happening...🤔

Do you have a video of it? Seeing and listening to it would be most helpful. A 1S whoop should take to a hover at +-28%...

I now know it's not my whoop. I found another one and the same thing happens. This all started after I updated the zorro to 3.2.0
Hi nice review ; ) I've been having problems connecting my quad with betaflight, I'm using win10, the device manager didn't recognise the flight controller.

Go to the welcome screen of Betaflight and look at the left-mid of the page. There are driver fixers for you to use...

Hi, it's been 9 months after you post this video, are you still using this FC? How's the quality until now? Do this FC can flash with BlueJay Firmware? Thanks
The OSD failed after a couple of lite crashes. I got 4 flights from it.. I currently fly the Betafpv 2.1 AIO with motor connectors... I only know 2 other people that built a Crossf4 up, and they both had RXloss the night we flew - sadly, one guy got a single pack in before that happened. I don't have enough information to recommend it or to not recommend it. You can flash bluejay.

Nearly all of them. It will also fit in the Pro frames. I use the Betafpv Meteor65 (not pro), and the Mobula7 V3...🍻
