Well……this canvas is doing odd things! How can it look WORSE with drills on it?!?! 😟. Is this a “squares” thing? A size thing? What in the world is going on?! 🤦♀️. Let me know your thoughts…

Not exclusively a square thing to my experience. It’s just too much detail in a too small sized canvas. I’ve had it happen with round drills, too. I think I’d jump ahead to the faces to see if all the characters’ features turn out as blurred and indistinct. Blobbed flowers are one thing. Faces are much more important. How bad does it look several feet away? Sometimes it’s true pointillism that can only be defined at a distance. Check it out. If it still sucks, I wouldn’t waste my time. 😢 Good luck!
In my opinion the painting is way too small for that much detail. I would think it would need to be very big. The painting is a 50 x 40 which in reality is a 45 x 35 so I would think the painting would need to be at triple that size with all that detail to come out, maybe even bigger. And remember square drills give more detail. Round would have rendered worse. Sorry this happened, but I don't think I would work on it. When it's not fun anymore why do it?? ❤

I haven't done any square drills yet. But I've seen where others commented they usually come out clearer. Very strange what's going with the Wizard of Oz.

There is too much detail in that image for that size...I tend to go up in size if the image is highly detailed. For me, the squares are more readable and if I order smaller sizes it is a more simple image. It is not a squares thing...its a too much detail in original image for size of rendering thing.
That's not good. I wouldn't waste my time on it.
Well it’s only a 40x50 and there is a lot of detail. You would have to go way bigger on that canvas to get all that detail. The more detail the bigger you have to go. When you look at DAC canvases, the ones with a lot of detail are big. Usually squares are printed in a block style so you can see how the result is going to look like. The way they printed this canvas is usually a round type of printing where you can see some of the lines in the background coming through. It looks like a round dp that they shrunk to fit a square dp, but for the size, it still wouldn’t look good with rounds. 😺
Hello , I have the same canvas from a pr package so , I can’t really be asking for much you know but let me explain a little bit, this canvas it’s not rendered like premium companies so I’m sorry, but yeah, this it’s a pic they take then they add the symbols over 🤷🏻♀️ I haven’t worked on my DP yet but most likely it’ll happen the same thing .. I’m sorry
The canvas looks much better without the drills and it sounds like you're not enjoying doing the canvas which my instincts say don't do something you are not enjoying
I have never seen that happen on any square painting I have done. Im so sorry but that does look pretty bad. I’m not sure I would even try to finish it, if it were me. 🙁

Trash that sh*t girl. All the lines that would accent through the rounds will be covered. Their images are too small. Do tinman's face if you have to but you've got gorgeous dragons that could use you time. Don't worry what everyone else is doing. You are still part of the whole. Hugs.
Canvas size too small to show details.. Would not matter if it was round or square drills in my opinion..
Do it in circles??? I just accidentally ordered a square yesterday so that will be my first one I've done. I can't help you there but now you got me worried!!!
I would probably finish it just so i could send a photo to the company of how poorly it turns out.
I’ve been diamond painting for 8-9 years and never see that happen on a square! Sometimes rounds can do that but never a square. If it was me I wouldn’t finish it. Disappointing for you
That canvas wou,would, look good as just a picture...unfortunately it's to small for any diamond round or square...to bad it wasn't a series with each character on a canvas of there own....
