You are making pure art!! Love the fact you know the balance in restoring things and not just replacing everything.
Many TH-cam make videos about restoration projects and when you watch them they just replace many things and it looks like something that came out of a machine. Your projects has the soul of the object and the looks of how it looked when it got made! Craftsmanship beyond what most people in this world can do!

@Vulpes I live an work on a farm in the U.S.
We don't throw anything that can be useful away, we reuse everything we can. One of my sisters, who used to live on the farm, threw a lot of non-working equipment away. I've been going through the bone pile (stuff she threw away in a pit) an refurbishing quite a few things. Gives me something to do during the winter months when I can't get into the field. Working on a wheel barrow currently, bit rusty an wood needs replacing, an missing some parts but shouldn't be too hard to fix up once missing parts that I have on order come in.

Beautiful ''again.'' Now that was another enjoyable exhibit of restoring something that was a fixture in our barn when I was really young, and that was many moons ago. It's a true joy watching a person with the time, tools, and knowledge to use them. To revive those item that have been placed on the wayside and have fallen into serious state of repair, to be spared and given an even longer life now that it's recognized there value. Your museum of collectables must be awesome and packed. I tip my hat to you Sir.

I have a similar sack barrow languishing in my barn waiting for the treatment, I never thought of using Plane ,(Platanus) wood, there is a lot of it growing here and it is very hard, just right for this purpose, the finished job looks really nice! Well done! This will outlast the chinese made things in Bricolage several times over! Chris B.

An exceptional restoration. I wish I had your woodworking skills. One thing I like about your projects is that you will do all you can to save the original materials including wood. Obviously that wasn't possible in this case. The wood was so rotten it was spongy. Looked like it could barely hold together. You made the replacement work look easy. Great work on the metal, too. Thank you
