argh I watched this hoping to see how in the heck to torque the rear caliper bolts. How the heck do you fit a torque wrench down there without a high lift?
If there is no brake pressure i.e. when pump up the pedal after a brake install the car will throw codes and go into limp mode which can be hard to clear

I dd not know that was an issue
Good job only one ☝️ thing GET THE RUST off and put anti seize on
Was wondering about that🤦
I used a little Blue Loctite on my C7 break caliper bolt threads. Was that unnecessary or overkill?
How did these hold up with track use ?
Love the video I was wondering if these fit on a non Z51 c8
You need to change your calibers to Z51 calibers .
It will just fine but you would have to replace the calipers also
no bleeding of the brakes?
Those rotors are directional. I was under the impression they went the other direction. I could be wrong. 🤔
They are directional. The inner vanes determine the direction of rotation not the slots.
These are installed correctly
Caliper bolts torque to 140.....think it's supposed to be 160...... can there be that much difference?
I don't recall if we had verified service manual information at the time of the video. It's brakes so I 100% defer to published service manual specs.
I found a couple of spec's that said it's closer to 85ft lbs for the rear caliper bolts - including the paragon performance how to on youtube.
Great job
I want to change rotors on 23 non z51, wasn't the parking brake engaged automatically, how did you remove it? Thanks
Disengage parking brake with the button while in park - then disconect the battery.
Well done
Why do you need to disconnect the battery?
If there is no brake pressure i.e. when pump up the pedal after a brake install the car will throw codes and go into limp mode which can be hard to clear
@@knsbrakes608 Thanks, Ken!
When you disconnect the battery do you loose all of your driving presets and audio channels?
Shouldn't. Their is a separate mini battery to save that stuff.
NOV-2021 --- 1800 for 4 pc
How much weight did you save per rotor?...thx
About 4 lbs per front and 5 pounds per rear
@@knsbrakes608 nice,
large amounts of unsprung weight makes the suspension and the driver very happy.👍
