One of my favorite childhood memories is when us little girls would see the Avon lady and ask her if we could have one of those tiny samples of lipstick. Anybody remember those? 😅
I am 73. We lived out in the country. There were doodle bugs! And we played marbles. We played in mud puddles. I stepped on a bubble bee! It hurt! No one ever read to us. We did not have books. But as soon as I went to school I learned to read and have loved books all my life! Have a great day! Love and light to you and family💖🌟🌹
I played all those games things are different today I’m 75 my grandson age five was here we were laying in the yard trying to get an ant to crawl up a blade of grass my son the little fellas dad ask what we were doing well we are trying to get an ant on blade of grass of course he ask why we’ll we were doing to give him to the Venus fry trap it worked son threw up his hands went in house and slammed door lol first time I had ever seen fly trap in action
Stepped on a wasp, running from front yard to back! Didn't worry about bare feet, getting dirty, watching insects, riding our bikes all over creation. Sometimes, we tried to stay inside and watch I Love Lucy reruns, but if Mom was there, no way! Enjoyed our time outside. My mother taught my youngest nieces and nephews about lightening bugs (fire flies) and what fun it was to watch them. Planting seeds just to see if they would grow, built forts, played "Red Rover," "Mother May I?," Hopscotch, "Who stole the cookies," jumping rope, swinging, wiping down the slide with waxed paper to make it good and slick, burning our legs going down when it was really hot. Walked to school and home everyday, rain or shine. No adult following us. Remember "dont talk to strangers, dont go to a car if you don't know the person beckoning you, don't accept candy from a stranger? Kids aren't taught that any more. Instead, they never get a minute outside. Or, really, to themselves.
@@JeannemaraNeedleworkCrafts-z6r Wasps! Never been stung by one but when I was 12, about less than a week before school, stayed with a friend in town. We were picking peaches, and I disturbed a nest of jellow jackets! They chased me and my friend all the way back to the house. My hand looked like a baseball glove . It was swollen up at least for over a week. So glad I was not allergic to them. I did not have a bike but walked everywhere. Until I was almost 19. I rode a bus till I was in the 9th grade then my Mom took me to school every day. Worked during the summer. And agree, when my daughter was 3 there was someone who came on the radio and said that at Halloween they would be looking for a child with blonde hair and that everyone should make sure they were with their children at all times. This was from someone in the satanic church. That is when I became scared because my child had blonde hair. And as we did not know where this person was from, it could have been anywhere. They were right in our faces and we did not know it, just like they are today. I guess that was when they made their entrance into my awareness. So I know what you mean about don’t talk to strangers, etc. but things will get better. God will win. Have a great day!

I love you Ms. Brenda! You probably already know this but I think God gives you the words to say that are going to touch someone’s heart who is watching your videos. I know I receive a blessing each time I watch you!
Ms Brenda my grandson with my daughter and son in law moved in when he was 6 months old. They’re building a house. I’m having the best time playing and singing and reading to him. We stomp like an elephant around the house. I started with flash cards when he was 9 months old. You think he isn’t getting any information because he loves to spread them from one of the house to the other. But he is. Recently, I purchased musical books that play classical music while you read the stories and we dance to the songs. He just loves them! We whisper together out on the porch about the birds and the trees he loves it and cry’s if I go outside on the porch without him! Oh and he loves to cook with me!!! He’s now 16 months. My house is really going to be empty when their home is finished!!! What a lucky little fellow he is that we all three read to him off and on all day. He brings us his books!!! I recently had taken him to a little airport to see them take off. Now when he hears them he points up and says airpane!!! LOL I can’t imagine never having this experience with him! It’s truly a blessing!!!❤ He and I are going to make this casserole tonight they got two small cabbages yesterday from their CSA. Have a blessed day Ms Brenda❤

I have 5 granddaughters, the oldest one is 24 now. When they were young, my daughter and I would go to garage sales and buy fancy clothes and jewelry for them to play dress up in. Boy, they were a sight to be seen. 😂. One lady heard us talking and would not sell us her jewelry when she figured out they were using it to play with. It belong to her mother. I hope they have good memories.😊

Love from a suburban New Yorker far from her family’s country roots. I’ve been all over the world and had great experiences with people who are from all over-the Lord’s beautiful diverse creation, but you represent something I didn’t know I yearned for until I watched your video today. Things move and change so fast today that many of us lose touch with some of the things you embody so richly: authenticity, warmth, the simple joy of doing something you love and love to share with others. I have joined with what I am sure is multitude of your fans in thanking you for giving us a refuge from a world in which we are constantly buffeted by all kinds of salesman (and saleswoman) ship. All must wish, as I do, that we could just sit in your kitchen and listen to you. God bless you.
Aw, what a sweet reply, Ms. Brenda sure is a sweetheart, and always so joyful. I really enjoy watching and listening to her in her kitchen, I had no idea she was a science teacher, I bet her classes were fun.
Brenda reminds me of the way I grew up. She makes me want to cook! I have to make some modifications since I live alone and are covering from a broken right hip and right arm. But watching her encourages me and gives me ideas on how I can adapt and cook some really tasty food. Not exactly like her recipes but as I was learning to cook we seldom used a recipe. We just cooked our veggies. Eyeballed the ingredients. Mama was a great cook. A good cooking teacher. We always had good food to eat. Gardens helped. I have no garden any more but make adjustments to cook what I have on hand or what is available to me. I try but feel sure that fresh is much better. I do love food.
My brother and I played with doodlebugs. They are actually an ant lion larva, they grow into something like a dragonfly. We liked to put a little stick down in the hole and watch it push the stick out. It wanted an ant or something to eat. Funny thing to us. We played outside everyday. Gone are those days. My Mama told me many times,"Life gets harder by the mile",and I learned it did. Some things I see now I just have to shake my head at...there is nothing I can do about them. But we are all here to learn these lessons. And we have to know God knows what He's doing. He is always working in His children's lives. Because He loves us,and wants our love in return. Your recipe looks really good. I would have to reduce it down a lot smaller but I think I can. You have a wonderful day,too...and a good night's sleep after! May God bless you.
We would stir the holes with a tiny stick while chanting " house on fire, house on fire. Bring some milk and bread" my mother told us that chant is what brought the doodle bugs to the surface. 😂
I loved chanting over the doodlebugs! It always seemed to get them excited and they would begin to rise to the surface. I really enjoyed watching them coming up to the top of the ground, always inside our barn, as we chanted, “Doodle bugs, doodle bugs come out of your hole!” They always started coming to the surface of the dry powdered soil.
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
Hi, Karen. I just wanted to say that I loved reading your comment!😅 Oh... and also, leftovers are wonderful to have for the next day, or you can also freeze the rest in a microwaveable Tupperware to save when there's nothing to eat. Have a good night!😴
Ms Brenda, I love watching you and also I love listening to your stories. I’m wandering if you can help me with my orchid plant. When the blooms died out I cut it down and I hope it was right but I don’t see any new sprouts coming up. It’s not dying but does it take a long time to grow new sprouts. Know you can help me and I appreciate any help you can help. Thank you
I love your videos, Brenda! You can repeat any and every recipe 100 times. The stories you share are so precious!!! Thank you for sharing your cooking knowledge and your life memories and your wisdom with the rest of us!!!!
Beautiful Lady you are God'S gift! Took me back to my childhood and Grandparents visits in the summer! Your right on with children discovering God's wonders outside without their phones! Love and Light! 💓 Praying for those in those two hurricanes disasters, Helene and Milton!
I pray for those people, cause I don’t know what I would do if it was me! I would hope that I’d pray for the Lord to give me the strength and courage to o move on!❤🙏❤️🙏❤️
Miss Brenda you are a St., sent from heaven to encourage us older women to try to reach out to the younger women that weren’t brought up like we were, I can remember when I was a little girl and I played with my cousin and we played just like you talk about! But my daddy wouldn’t let me play when there was boys around! So I’m hoping I can be a good person for the younger generation to listen to! I love you, Linda
You are so right. I've driven a school bus for 47 years, still driving. I've seen so much and parents and the homies where the teaching of children should start. So much is put on the teachers and it shouldn't be that way.
Brenda❣️ YOU are the most adorable, precious discovery I found today on the internet. I pray that there are still people "like you" out there, because this world has changed so much for the worse. All we can do is pray✨️🙏✨️ for a better tomorrow, for the sake of our children, and their children. "Thank You sooo much for all the Love you bring to the table!!" I'm so glad to hear you say support our Teachers. So many on social media choose to denigrate our Teachers rather than encourage parents to take part in their child's education. My daughter is a Middle Sch English/Language Arts Teacher and I just don't know how she puts up with the disrespect. As far as your childhood stories, I'm 63 and share some of those exact sweet memories...nighttime kick-the-can, hop scotch, softball and kickball in the street with the whole neighborhood. We were always outside and never got sick as much as children do nowadays. Jesus, sunshine and laughter the key to a healthy, eternal life.❤🙏

Praise God we made it through hurricane Milton with minor damage. Things can be replaced or fixed. But, family is a great gift to be treasured. There were so many miracles God did for us through the whole thing. I'm so thankful God was with us through it all ❤ I am happy to be able to once again watch your wonderful videos!

Watching you prepare the casserole and listening to your stories took me back to my childhood. As a child we spent every waking moment outside and played the most simple games, and we were barefoot all summer. Our Mother had to call us to come home for dinner, and I must say I am reasonably healthy at age 81 because we were always in the fresh air. My Mother cooked all the meals without ever measuring the ingredients, she was a great cook , and your dishes look fabulous, thank you.😊 ,
Brenda Gantt,I get so much pleasure, out of your Page. You have done so much and are still at it. P.S. Ms. Brenda, we have so many small things in common, but there is a life-changing situation my husband and I share, just as you and your beloved George did. My husband was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia back in January. He seems to be declining much more rapidly than we expected. He told me to run away from him as fast as I could. I told him I had always run towards him, never away, and that was not about to change after 50 years of marriage filled with love. He cried. When I look at you I feel a kinship and a hope I can't explain. I see you doing all the things I do now, without your husband. Maybe I can do that too, you know?
I worked for a doctor in the late 90's who had a patient with severe rheumatoid arthritis. Mrs. Bernice started showing RAPIDLY increasing symptoms of dementia. Neurologists just marked it up to age related dementia. Dr. Pardo ( he was interal medicine) asked her if she would trust him to try a treatment regimine for a couple months. He explained it to her as "blood vessels version of arthritis" She agreed and within a month, she was back to her " old/normal" self. Her MRIs and CT scans done before and after treatment started were as different as night and day. Dr.Pardo and Mrs. Bernice have both since passed away and I can't remember the name of the medicine he prescribed due 2 strokes and a traumatic brain injury but her other doctor is still in practice and her granddaughter could possibly help get the info. I can try to get that info. I'm not telling you that I know the cure but to maybe give another avenue for treatment possibilities. I will reach out to her granddaughter to help to find the medicine name. I am on FB under Tonya Durst-Scarlett if you'd like to send me a friend request do that we can better communicate. Prayers and love to you from Georgia 😊
Miss Brenda, sis. We're sister's from another mother, our child hood is the same. Coming from Mississippi,we had a wonderful poor man's life, but loved. We learned so much about life. Thanks for sharing 🤗🤗
You are wonderful, Brenda. I love your story about your dad at Christmas time, singing about candy on the tree. Beautiful! Thank you for your recipes and stories. I really needed them this morning. You lift up my broken heart. God Bless you! 🙏
I am so happy I saw this video this afternoon. We read to our boys everyday when they were babies. My husband read the newspaper to them in the mornings and I read books and the bible stories to them at night. They grew to be smart young men. My youngest has 2 masters degrees and the oldest is a systems analyst.
I’ve made this dish for a long time also. Mine calls for sour cream in place of the mayonnaise. You’re right, this dish is so good. Seeing your smiling face lifted my spirits this morning. I live near some of the counties that experienced devastation from Helena, but here we had high winds and heavy rain. We did lose power for 2 days due to trees on power lines but our hearts ache for the lives and homes lost in the mountains of North Carolina. Pray for these people. They will need help for a long time.
Miss Brenda, I love you and your recipes and your visits with us!!! Your videos are balm to my spirit!!! Thank you for all that you share with us!!! Miss Cindy in OKC, Oklahoma ❤🙏🏼
The greatest teacher I ever had was my 8th grade science teacher! She was the toughest of the school. She believed in me far beyond any of my teachers! Mrs. Pohnert took me and my Science Fair project to Regional and State! That was an exceptional experience! I LOVED ALL OF HER CHALLENGES! I'm now in my 70s! 💖💫
Good Blessed Morning Ms, Brenda, I hope you all are good and safe from all this devastation these hurricanes has caused. Thanks for supporting teachers. I was an educator for 42 years. My only child and my only grandchild are teachers! I felt like I never went to work--I loved what I got to do all those years. Still active in retired educators association.
You are so cute! Whomever has this lady as a grandmother, Please give her a big hug an3let her know how precious she is. I'm serious...I've lost both sets of grandparents and they were phenomenal. I was so blessed as a child, and more so as I got older. God love you grandmother, Grandparents are the best. They treated the grands just like their own. Punishment included. We owe our elders....
Mrs. Brenda, this Brenda, you are a bless to me and others. I am a retired teacher also and pray for our world to take out time with our children...read, play outside, plant a garden, etc.❤🎉🙏🙌✨️
I can’t wait to make this casserole! Love listening to you talk about your childhood and everything else! I would follow you even if you even if you weren’t a wonderful chef! ❤️😘
First time watching you. You touched my heart. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and insight, and for the blessings. 💕. The Cabbage Casserole looks and sounds delicious. 😋
Oh Ms Brenda you are bringing back so many child hood memories oh how wonderful.. my great aunts house was very high off ground and no grass anywhere.. she use to make mud pies with me. Oh I have such great wonderful heart warming memories thank you Ms Brenda
Hello And Thank You Brenda. Your Cabbage Casserole Looks DELICIOUS! I Will Have To Make It A Bit Smaller. But I Want To Try It Out. You Are A REAL PERSON. As My Husband And I Always Said What You See is What You Get. We Were Not Fakes Either. You Are Down To Earth. I Used To Play Outside In The Summer Time with The Neighbor Hood Kids Until it Got Dark. We Didn't Stray Far. Our Parents Always Knew Where We Were. And We Also Had To Help With Household Chores Too. My Mother( I Miss Her So Much) Taught Us All How To Cook She Actually Inspired My Love of Cooking. We Didn't Sit Around With Any Smart Phones In Our Hands for Sure. Most Kids Today I believe Have Big Problems Because Of All This Modern Technology. They Act Like They Can't Live Without Their Phones!!! It's An Addiction In Epidemic Portions. Very Sad. I do Have A Smart Phone But Just Got One About 1 Year ago. I Use it But It's not Attached To Me. Anyway, I Pray To God That People Will Start To Interact More with Other People Instead of Their Modern Technology Toys. You Are inspirational and Fun. May God Bless You And Your Family Too. Stay Safe.👍🙏🙏🙏🍁🍁🍁🍁😋😋😋
Good morning Miss Brenda. Glad to see your sweet face and your soft voice this morning. Praying for all of those who have been devastated by these two last hurricanes. God bless them and be with them comfort them and provide all their needs in Jesus name amen. 😇🙏🩸🕊️🩸🙏😇 You are absolutely so right Miss Brenda that's the way I was raised to get out of the house and don't come back till the street lights are on; then you better be in the yard.! 😀 It was a whole lot of fun. We used to take blankets out side and clothespins and build great big tents with sticks for poles to hold the blankets up; and stay up all night talking laughing giggling and having a blast. Sometimes the neighborhood kids would come over the whole backyard would be fully neighborhood kids camping out in the blanket tents.!

Bringing up old memories. We used to play under the house too. We used to play with doodle bugs. Also built dirt roads and played cars...the old metal ones. My grandchildren do a lot of this stuff. Our family is very outdoorsy. Thank you for the reminders.
One of my good memories was of my mother cutting cabbage for a recipe and cutting the core in little pieces, and we would eat it together. It was so good!
This is my first Ms Brenda video and I love you! I grew up in central Florida and doodle bugs was one of my favorite things to do. We said “doodle bugs doodle bugs come get your coffee!” My family was originally from south Georgia so I guess that was the south Georgia version. Hi Brenda, I am a longtime fan. Have seen you cook your cabbage casserole on video twice now. I have all your cookbooks! I finally made the cabbage casserole yesterday !!! My husband LOVED IT and I really liked it a lot (and I don't really like cabbage). Thank you for who you are and the values you share with your followers. You remind me SO MUCH of my grandmother ("Ma-Ma")....who grew up in Pickens, SC and adult life in Columbia, SC. The things you say, how you say them...When I can't sleep at night, I watch you and it is comforting to imagine I'm still in my Ma-Ma's kitchen watching her cook with no recipes and everything turned out absolutely delicious.

I made this cabbage casserole for a church potluck lunch. I made one change: I sliced a ring of smoked sausage, put half of cabbage, a layer of sausage, another layer of cabbage, and then the sliced onions and the rest of the ingredients. It was a hit! I shared the recipe with several people because everyone loved it!

Wasps!
Lol...my favorite teachers were usually the ones not liked by a lot of others. Thank you for reminding us how important God is in our lives
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
The only thing that is worse than someone vile and racist enough to vote for a Republican is someone stupid enough to believe in god.
It’s truly a blessing!!!❤
He and I are going to make this casserole tonight they got two small cabbages yesterday from their CSA. Have a blessed day Ms Brenda❤
May I ask what CSA is?
@@oopurpledove it’s co-op with a farm you could pay X dollars for the season and you get what’s in season from the farm weekly based on how many people you purchased for. Like a family of two or four etc! This week we go 2 small cabbages pears, tomato’s, two delicata squash one acorn, greens 3 bags each a different kinds. To be honest their last farm was way better last year!!!
@@oopurpledove It’s a crop share association. You pay an annual fee for the year and then you receive weekly farm grown vegetables throughout the seasons.
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.

I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
Miss. Brenda,
Even when a recipe is repeated, your stories are always fresh and appreciated .
Hi, Karen.
I just wanted to say that I loved reading your comment!😅
Oh... and also, leftovers are wonderful to have for the next day, or you can also freeze the rest in a microwaveable Tupperware to save when there's nothing to eat. Have a good night!😴
Oh, Ms Brenda.......how I enjoy your videos. I'm also a widow and love your recipes, your stories and your love of the Lord. 😊😊❤❤
Children need to love and learn from their grandparents!
I love you,
Linda
As a retired teacher myself, I really appreciate what you said about supporting teachers! So many parents do not do so these days!💞
TRUMP 4 School Choice & Parents' Rights 2024 Liberty Security Prosperity
You are so right. I've driven a school bus for 47 years, still driving. I've seen so much and parents and the homies where the teaching of children should start. So much is put on the teachers and it shouldn't be that way.
Brenda❣️
YOU are the most adorable, precious discovery I found today on the internet. I pray that there are still people "like you" out there, because this world has changed so much for the worse. All we can do is pray✨️🙏✨️ for a better tomorrow, for the sake of our children, and their children.
"Thank You sooo much for all the Love you bring to the table!!"
God Bless You, and God Bless our beloved USA❣️🤗

❤️🇺🇲💙🌹
I work in the school system and I’m flabbergasted at the things I see and hear everyday. But there are the babies that find a place in your heart. Oh yes I try to love those that are hard to love. Sometimes those are the ones that stay in my heart forever.
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
Love watching you, your recipes, your wisdom & advise!
God Bless you my friend! I like watching Brenda Gantt also! She is a Saint, in my eyes. Lifts me up when I am down . God is using Brenda Gantt!
how amazing! the stories re dress ups!! o how much much fun!!
You are the best story teller I have ever seen. Love you and keep doing it because we need to know these things. Thank you 🙏
Does . Anyone knowhow long you bake the cabbage csserole?
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
I'm so glad to hear you say support our Teachers.
Jesus, sunshine and laughter the key to a healthy, eternal life.❤🙏
Brenda you are so precious and unique! You make us feel like we have been your friends forever! I am 84 years young and I can act like I am your older sister…😉Every time I watch your videos I always think you remind me a bit of Barbara Stanwick the movie and TV star from years ago. You are a beautiful lady. I pray God continues to use you to share His word and bless you for always inviting us into your beautiful comforting home. 🙏🤗💖🕊💐
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
Love this casserole! Thank you for encouraging the younger cooks to prepare REAL food!! ❤❤
Praise God we made it through hurricane Milton with minor damage. Things can be replaced or fixed. But, family is a great gift to be treasured.
There were so many miracles God did for us through the whole thing.
I'm so thankful God was with us through it all ❤
I am happy to be able to once again watch your wonderful videos!
Thank you Brenda for the cabbage casserole yes our Lord Jesus Christ will take care of us . I am also alone but He is always there with me my husband passed on to Glory last Nov 29 we were blessed with 70 wounderfull years 4 children 14 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren 1 great great God bless you Brenda
Your 😅 testimony is awesome
Watching you prepare the casserole and listening to your stories took me back to my childhood. As a child we spent every waking moment outside and played the most simple games, and we were barefoot all summer. Our Mother had to call us to come home for dinner, and I must say I am reasonably healthy at age 81 because we were always in the fresh air. My Mother cooked all the meals without ever measuring the ingredients, she was a great cook , and your dishes look fabulous, thank you.😊
,
Brenda Gantt,I get so much pleasure, out of your Page. You have done so much and are still at it. Got your Education raised your Children, had a Bed and Breakfast Catered Food for Weddings ,Parties, etc. Had a Antique Store, cooked for your Church and probly much more. Amazing, you are truly an Inspiration. GOD BLESS YOU. Beverly McGinnis
You can bet, for her to have ACCOMPLISHED so much, she is fiesty and not a pushover! 😅
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
I watch you almost every morning and always feel like I’ve visited with my best friend.
I wish she were on TouTube almost every morning. I rarely ever get on FaceBook. I sure would watch her here on TH-cam that's for sure. 👍😊
Such a joy😊
Love your shirt. One of my favorite hymns. Old rugged cross is my favorite, I think. Lol...He tells me I am his own 🎵❤
Love watching you❤I played with Rollie Pollies! Lol
I love your washable paper towels! Brilliant idea! Save drawer space for dishtowels.
You are so PRECIOUS Brenda... you sure know how to brighten 😎 a persons day...
Luv ya Miss Brenda.❤❤❤
Ms. Brenda you are wonderful JEWEL sent for Heaven!! The Lord knew what he was doing when He gave you to us!!
Miss Brenda,sis.
We're sister's from another mother, our child hood is the same. Coming from Mississippi,we had a wonderful poor man's life, but loved. We learned so much about life.
Thanks for sharing 🤗🤗
You are so sweet and caring Brenda, bless you.😊
You are wonderful, Brenda. I love your story about your dad at Christmas time, singing about candy on the tree. Beautiful! Thank you for your recipes and stories. I really needed them this morning. You lift up my broken heart. God Bless you! 🙏
My mother and her sister loved playing under the house that was so many years ago sweet memories they told
I like the way you put a meal together ❤
I am so happy I saw this video this afternoon. We read to our boys everyday when they were babies. My husband read the newspaper to them in the mornings and I read books and the bible stories to them at night. They grew to be smart young men. My youngest has 2 masters degrees and the oldest is a systems analyst.
Ms brenda I lost my husband 5 mo ago memorial day and have buried myself in your cooking shows and you are a great inspiración to me. Love uou brenda
Brenda I love your shirt! Where did you get it? That is one of my favorite songs, “In The Garden!” ❤
Praying for you all !!!🙏🙏🙏
❤🙏🏼🙏🏼✝️🙏🏼🙏🏼❤
Miss Brenda, I love you and your recipes and your visits with us!!! Your videos are balm to my spirit!!! Thank you for all that you share with us!!!

Good Blessed Morning Ms, Brenda,
I hope you all are good and safe from all this devastation these hurricanes has caused. They need our prayers and helping can't imagine losing your home and your whole town. Ok on a brighter note you look so lovely today and that cabbage casserole looks so delicious and easy. Thank You for sharing it with us 💖🫂🙏🏼🕊️🙏🏼
God made dirt and dirt don't hurt!
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
Thank you, Brenda.. for bringing some of the country back to us.. The good part of the world.. God bless you and everyone in the whole world..
🙏✝️
I love your shirt!!

My husband loves you cabbage casserole. He calls it cabbage crack cause he can't stop eating it. I sorry to call it crack but he ate half a 13 x9 pan. Thank you Brenda
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
I have had the casserole that my neighbor had made…delicious . This is the first time I have seen your post and truly have enjoyed your sweet spirit, and sharing that God is our only way of making it through every situation in life..👏🏻💕🕊
Thanks for supporting teachers.
You know, I could listen to you all day. No mater what you talk about. The casserole recipe is just a bonus. 😊
😇🙏🩸🕊️🩸🙏😇
You are absolutely so right Miss Brenda that's the way I was raised to get out of the house and don't come back till the street lights are on; then you better be in the yard.!
I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days and you know God loves us so much! So where are you originally from? I am David originally from Spain but currently living Texas.
Does your show come on TV. I would love to watch it. I live in LongBeach, Miss.❤❤😅
Love love hearing Brendas stories!!!!!!😊
I just absolutely love you and your videos.. your cooking AND your stories ❤ My grandparents raised me, salt of the earth! They’re gone now, but when I watch your videos it makes me feel like I’m hangin out with my beautiful grandmother, and friend. Thank you dear Brenda!!!
Good morning Ms. Brenda! You are the first ray of sunshine for me today. I'm so happy to see you. I always learn something and I wonder what it will be today?!❤
Yes I agree she is a ray of sunshine. And a blessing.
Bringing up old memories. We used to play under the house too. We used to play with doodle bugs. Also built dirt roads and played cars...the old metal ones. My grandchildren do a lot of this stuff. Our family is very outdoorsy. Thank you for the reminders.
Hello Ms Brenda! Thank you for sharing your delicious recipes!! ❤ Blessings to you and your Family! ❤
You are so adorable, I love you singing little ditties.
I enjoy watching your you because you remind me of my Tennessee family.
I love cooking with you and I love the way you always talk about God because without him we can do nothing
I'm a 60s-70s kid. I loved you chat about the kids playing outside.
We were told to get outside and play too. Oh you are so right.I haven't seen it before but it sure looks good.
AMEN AND THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU TAUGHT THOSE KIDS ❤ LOVE YOU ❤
One of my good memories was of my mother cutting cabbage for a recipe and cutting the core in little pieces, and we would eat it together. It was so good!
Go play with nabirhood oids
Sounds yummy
Yes they get old and rotten inside exactly what is a good savings to throw away just the bad part
Yes we did play that to. Hidenseek
Sounds good
I love cabbage
I made this casserole on Tuesday and my family LOVED it. I added pork sausage crumbles to mine and it was soooooo good. It's a keeper!
That sounds good, I was thinking bacon too. When did you add it?
I put the sausage crumbles on top of the onions before I added the cream of chicken soup mixture.
@@Wendi-d1f thank you!
This is my first Ms Brenda video and I love you! I grew up in central Florida and doodle bugs was one of my favorite things to do. We said “doodle bugs doodle bugs come get your coffee!” My family was originally from south Georgia so I guess that was the south Georgia version. I’ve subscribed to your site and can’t wait to see & hear more‼️❤️🙏🏻
Hi Brenda,
I am a longtime fan.
Prayers for you & your grand daughter. I took care of a liver transplant PT that did fine my Nursing yrs.You both will recover fine with God speed🙏🙏Thnx for the recipe. We Love you Brenda❤

Yayeee I’m so happy I’ve actually got an up to date video ! It’s been sooooo long ! ❤❤❤
I love the Cabbage Cassarole. Went to the Store last night to get everything to make it. The first time I made it,I was surprised how good it is .
Thank you for sharing this sausage addition. I was gonna ask her if meat could be added. You answered my question.😊
I love that shirt. One of my favorite hymns. ❤ and He tells me I am His own! 🎵🎶🎵
I watch all the time but I never saw this dish before. Thanks for showing it again! Looks delicious!
Thank you Brenda for your encouraging words they spoke to my heart today. God spoke to me through you so thank you for the obedient servant you are of the Lord.
Love this recipe, made it man6 times. Also, as a child, we went out and did the same things like doodle bugging! So much fun!
Love watching you and hearing your comments and life's memories. Also making your recipes. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
I remember playing outside from morning to 10:00 at night . During all kinds of things outside. Those good Olds. I'm 56 now I miss those days.
We were SO TIRED and dirty when we came in at night.
Love the cabbage casserole. I made it right after I got your first cookbook and I love it!!

Im 76 yrs old i hate to admit . And dont feel one bit that age .. I just luv luv luv you ms brenda ! I luv hearing ur little girl play stories outside . I have done same things. And ur so right , kids don't know how to play outside today . For one its dangerous world we live in . For two , they have too many video games . Kids become lazy . Technology today may be good in one way but its ruined our young generation coming up in the world. But great for school work though. I had to carry books home from school or go to library . Anyway look forward in tuning in ur channel . I have some bad days and find alot of comfort listening to you . May God Bless You Always . Luv Linda ❤
I love your videos and I have your cook books, which I use all the time. I'm 70 years old and have been cooking cabbage casserole for several years, my family loves it. I'm a big cornbread fan so I use the bag of cornbread stuffing mix to top my casserole dishes, broccoli , squash and cabbage and pour melted butter over it. I prepared several of your recipes and my favorite is your cheesecake.
I'm 83 and raised on a 100 acer farm,I've done all these things as a child.
This is delicious Brenda thank you! That my favorite song on your shirt
