Good review, Digge. Just reviewed the game. Daboll's play-calling was as bad as DJ's execution. Both interceptions outside the numbers in a condensed field. Lesson - go to the goal line, not the sideline. Int #1 - Clowny read it & made a great play. DB read the play, too. DJ doesn't have the ball skills or dexterity of Mahomes or Jackson. In his hands in that situation, ball possession is at risk. While DJ is not exonerated, Daboll must know this by now. It's a stupid play at that field position. Keep it simple. Int #2 - This play was preceded by a stupid call shifting Nabers & handing him the ball. Razzle Dazzle has no business in critical situations with a short field. Didn't work, of course. Led to 3rd & goal at the 7. Go to the goal line, not the sideline. Nothing to be gained. This is more DJ's fault, and Tracy would've been better positioned near the goal line or to block assist. DJ needed to get the ball to his best receivers. Tracy had both hands on the ball, but DJ threw it behind him with a LBer bearing down. I put f/u liability 75% Jones, 25% Tracy. Questionable use of RB in that situation. Tracy's fumble - Calling a draw play on 1st and 10 from your own 25 is not a good idea. Had Tracy not fumbled, you're looking at 2nd & 13 from your own 22. Running a quick trap, or a dive between the tackles, or a play action button hook is more effective at getting distance from your own goal line. Keep things simple in crucial situations. DJ's deficits - poor eye-speed - can't anticipate routes or hit receivers in stride. Poor reads from the pocket. Res Ipsa Loquitur. DJ is very, very smart and mechanically sound but lacks the natural instincts and present moment awareness to effectively play the QB position to its fullness. Within limited parameters, he can be very effective passing & running, but that approach will always limit the offense's ability to run up the score. In tight quarters where judgement & dexterity are required, he is prone to error. Ohhh - the flea flicker was well designed but should've been called after securing first down. My word...
I didnt see the game but saw the highlights/lowlights. Conceptually, the flea-flicker seemed like a great call. Totally unexpected. 3rd down and 1 at midfield - if incomplete, go for it on 4th. But taking a sack could NOT happen.
Sometimes it’s the passes you don’t throw. Sometimes it’s the passes you throw to the other team. There is 6 years of Jones going into this decision, not just the last game

The problem with DJ is he's nitpick for every thing he was always hated for being taken 6 then from Duke. They shouldn’t have paid either why would you pay a running back when you don’t have an offensive line or a qb? Especially when the running back has been injury prone, he’s having a career year with the eagles because he has a much better supporting cast around him and he never showed this amount of effort with the giants as he’s been showing with the eagles. This is where I say that dabolls play design sucks and doesn’t help Jones at all .. go back to the play you say you spammed for Madden .. its actually an awful play to run against a cover 3. Even with that said you can’t have the outside receiver and the inside guy breaking at the same distance because you essentially have 3 defenders covering 2 .. Wandale’s out has to be shorter because the read has to be the outside corner . If he jumps the out that creates the void for nabers on the flag route . If the corner stays off you throw the out ..that play is much better versus 2 or 4. I know people kill Jones but dabolls offense doesn’t help him at all .. everything looks slow to develop and the receivers run sloppy routes and round out their cuts on alot of plays .. Everything about this offense is abysmal.
