Lexi, Mason, and Grams Come Back from the Other Side | The Vampire Diaries 3x07 "Ghost World"

- It’s the Night of Illumination and the ghosts are back to celebrate. Damon gets a visit from our absolute fave, Mason Lockwood, or so he assumes, even though the ghosts aren’t visible. So he immediately goes to Bonnie to get her to fix the problem, and her first step is to do a spell that reveals “veiled matter.” As the spell is cast, we see it really was Mason torturing Damon, Grams is there helping Bonnie, Elena can now see Anna making out with Jeremy, and Lexi is back putting Stefan in his place. Now that everyone can see the ghosts, they all get to work since there’s no telling how long this will last. So, Damon and Mason go to the Lockwood cellar to look for a weapon to kill Klaus while Lexi and Elena start Stefan’s ripper detox. Meanwhile, Grams, Bonnie, and Caroline try to find the Original Witch’s necklace to destroy it and send the ghosts away, even though Elena wants the ghosts to stay now that Lexi is helping Stefan. Unfortunately, the tomb vampires also came back and are killing Founding Family members in the town square, so the search for the necklace is now URGENT. Eventually, Anna reveals that she stole it because she didn’t want to be alone. So now that they have the necklace, Bonnie and Grams send everyone back, but not before Damon and Mason find caves with runic drawings telling the story of the Originals.

When you were talking about how crazy it is for you to bring someone back to life only for them to cheat on you with a ghost it reminded me of this girl on tiktok who gave a kidney to a guy who ended up cheating on her later. Which is absolutely crazy and probably the closet real life example that's close to Bonnie and Jeremy's situation lol
This is one my favorite scenes of the show. I love Damon so much. It's a terrible apology but the man means it. lol Damon and Rick's friendship is the best in the early seasons.
Damon: Well! Sometimes...I do things I don't have to do.
Alaric: You're going to recycle that same crap-ass apology you gave Mason Lockwood?
Damon: Yeah, well...I didn't mean it with him.
I wish Katherine was back in town for a little Mason Kate reunion xD Her face would have been hilarious, though I feel sad he did appear to Tyler. Just a comforting word would have been enough but he is a real one because he lead them to the real clues.

now that you’ve talked about how lexi was able to get in stefan’s i started wondering. do they still have their vampire powers even after they died? cause lexi’s still a ghost on the other side, she’s just able to interact with their side. so are they ghosts, vampires or both?
