Create, Mekanism, and Ad Astra all in one is absolutely amazing! Is the storage solution going to rely on Mekanism or will there be AE2 integration at some point?
Making modpacks is easier than expected, just throw a bunch of mods together, play with the configs and the rest is tweaking recipes and creating a quest book (those 2 take ages tho)
you mean fail to figure out how to design cogs in a clean way, make a complicated working setup one time, get exhausted and then accidently crash your world permanantly by accidently glueing something to something else one time? :) yeah me too tbh

The first assessment i had when i did college was to create a trailer for an old royalty free movie, and I chose Offenbach's Can Can for its backing track. I just graduated today and thought "hey i'll look for some big complicated minecraft mod to mess around with. I used to play with those all the time." And the first video I watch after graduating is a trailer using Offenbach's Can Can for its backing track. Thanks for the bookend. You just gave me the closure that college failed to give.
I used to have a personal modpack named exactly "Create Mekanized", so seeing that someone finally made and actual modpack with more compatibility between the two mods makes me want to continue my old world
I used to play mekanism with create, not an ideal duo, but this modpack looks promissing (edit: yeah, i played this modpack and it was awesome the quests and the way you evolve through is well done)
Amazing trailer! Wish it was a bit slower so we could actually see what is going on in some spots but that's a minor complaint compared to the everything else this brings to the table! Looking forward to playing it!
My issue is finding a water source. It seems like the sink got nerfed or the mekanism pipes did because it's been hard to supply water at a fast enough rate. Actually, I'm gonna check if the coolant port is limited and you might need two.

Well, Mekanism has QIO for its storage, and it can be considered somewhat mid-game We have Iron Chests, and Pretty Pipes to let you connect all the chests with a terminal so you can easily access them all. This would be early game solutions to storage
Is the „Oh The Biomes You'll Go“ mod progression relevant or can I remove it? I prefer playing with only vanilla biomes since it allows me to pre-select a seed with nice landscape.

started playing and im on chapter 2 and it wants me to automate brass by bulk washing sand to get copper nuggets and zinc nuggets however this method does not give zinc nuggets and there doesnt seem to be any way of automating zinc or am i missing something

at one point i just hope that there will be a modpack that will combine most of the major tech mods (maybe even magic) and let it only be accessible through create like even most machinery will only be able to operate through a create and multiblock instead of single machine block so one needs to build lots of factories to just craft and advance and automate and hopefully connect everything to make one mega factory but with a questline so that one has a proper end game like imagine you need to operate a whole nuclear/fusion reactor with create as the foundation and make it sustainable like starting from stone age to steam age (still just basic create) and then try to implement electricity with Steam and spinning magnetic coils Coils or other spinning turbines (like wind and water) and coils to power some multiblocks and from there to Space/Dimension travel (like hell maybe even draconic evolution) and those multiblocks just unlock more efficient forms of energy (like more condensed or more power) to fuel for multiblocks that help automation and output and upgrade components for like alloys and complex stuff and so on A big modpack that harness and builds upon Mechanical energy and converts that for further use on a big scale
Create New age already added electricity (which works very similarly to what you described), and the Create Simulated projects, such as aeronautics, high seas, and liftoff, would let you make multiblock vehicles (which would be compatible with other create addons, and their 'landlord' engine(?) would let you have working factories inside your vehicles as they move). Honestly, I think that for this kind of omni-modpack, there'd be different tiers of each mechanism (for example, cloth-sail windmills would be replaced by fibreglass-blade wind-turbines, and standard auto-crafters being replaced by steel/aluminium versions which can be directly powered by electricity, as well as rotational shafts), with each tier being more efficient than the last

@@slavic_commonwealth It’s not a Create mod that adds nuclear reactors, its Mekanism that adds the reactors. Also, you shouldn’t be downloading the mods manually and instead download the modpack from Curseforge and you should be able to play it if you have the app

I personally think it does resolve the issue. Also, there isn’t different kinds of Create, there are only different kinds of Create modpacks. An example would be Create Above and Beyond

8 GB is usually a good start for large modpacks (dont go much higher because base java sucks with memory management) A powerful CPU helps a ton I have 3.9 GHz 8 core and its got no problem

I always run mine at 20 and get a few spikes here and there, but I always assumed that was because of my cpu (I got a 3060, but it throttles the everliving hell out of my cpu, can't even play games like deep rock galactic. I'm also a college student so I'm broke as hell and can't get a 700 dollar top line one, maybe for christmas.)
Fine tuning the modpack was probably easier to do than building the factory for the trailer

The world outside the factory is a bit... destroyed? Me and the builders messed around with TNT and things like that.

You can get zinc nuggets by crushing stone
