Bond made a ton of sense and I learned a lot in this shirt video, especially about storytelling and about learning from every source possible as opposed to a select few marketers. Valuable lessons. Thanks to both of you almost 10 years later.

I read all of Gary's newsletters at age 16. I was obsessed. I remember when he died. But over the years i have realised Gary, while smart at marketing, wasnt a great businessman. Business is about building a a real business that last decades. Not contantly running on a hamster wheel trying to to flog info products and write copy. I also dont respect most of the people in the direct response industry anymore. Most of them are selling how to make money products when they have never even made any real money themselves. I didnt know this when i was 16. But i will never forgot Gary.

Gary Halbert was very much aware of his tendency to waste money you smartass. He chose to live like that, it wasn't above him to be a great business man. He said this clearly in many lectures he gave. And while there's a lot of BS in direct response you have to be a dummy to describe it like you just did.

@@LL-wc4wn 1. You said he wasn't a great "business man"(whatever that means), and I responded by saying he had the ABILITY to be whatever he wanted, but he chose to act the way he did with his money and business. He was aware.
      2. If you want inspiration of 10/10 direct response today check out the Harmon Brothers.
Don't be quick to shit on the people that made it all possible for us. Don't be quick to judge them. Best wishes, bro.
