Normally, scavenge air pressure is zero on boost air pressure gauge. If boost air pressure rises up while testing, this is the indication of intake valves leakages. Hope you clearly understood. Have a good day !
According to this method, if inlet valves is leaking boost air pressure will be rise. I understand that. But i am not clear if exhaust valves is leaking what symptoms will be shown. And blow by means some gas passes through the leaky piston ring so how can i know whether the pistion ring is leaking or not. Thanks in advance.
In compression TDC, push rods can be turned. That one sooner be firing. In Valve Overlap TDC, push rods cannot be turned. That stage, expelled exhaust gas by incoming charged air. Hope you may understand. 😊
Bro, what did you say @02:12, if the scavenge pressure......? It's not audible clearly.

Hello Sir, its better you give your own voice over rather than computer generated voice.
That’s right !
Thanks for your feedback.
Sir, thanks for ur video! keep uploading Boiler & Generator related video🙏
Noted MEC.
In present, you can study lots of contents for Boiler and Aux. Engine on my channel.
Thanks for watching.
in comp tdc push rods will not turn the one which is turning is firing tdc . thx for sharing knowledge

correct agreed but blow by test is applicable when your all valves are in closed state i e @ firind tdc position .
@rahulkumar-jz7fk
Absolutely right !
Use compression TDC instead of firing TDC because firing doesn’t happen in exact TDC position.
Thank a lot
Always Welcome !
thank you very much for precious knowledge, Never heard it could be tested like this before.
Always Appreciate !
