I just got my colors analyzed and found out I'm a soft autumn and that none of my clothes (except for 1 t-shirt) are in colors (or cuts/fits) that flatter me. So I'm planning all of my clothes I want to buy and have an Amazon shopping list full. This helps a lot...all of your videos have helped. I've pretty much watched all of them since I found your channel a month or so ago. So helpful for someone like me who knows nothing about fashion or how to dress and look put together!!
I got the best piece of advice watching your channel. If I don’t see it, I don’t wear it or use it, I know it was about jewelry, but applies to all things. Since then, I spend time periodically looking through what I have, reminding myself what’s in my closet. It has helped me so much! Thank you!
Another great video Christie! My litmus test for buying clothes is, when I start dancing in the dressing room, it’s amazing and I buying it! I do this every time, lol. One thing I recently learned from you is that I look better in a v neck. I had know idea! I went thru my closet and picked out all of the things that didn’t quite work, non were v neck. Thank you Christie, have a wonderful weekend! 💖
I loved you mentioned SAHMs. As a one I absolutely adore high heels but I can’t really incorporate them much in my daily life. I try to wear them in the weekends but since I am not used to them anymore I can’t stand them for more than 2 hours. Now I have to find ways to look nice without heels.
My first experience w you, Christie, and what a gem you are! I may be repeating what you’ve said elsewhere but I try to keep my closet organized to encourage the rotation/interaction of outfits by color, style - whatever I find enhances my fit with clothes and vice versa. I separate work, athleisure, jeans/casual, and some seasonal. I buy classic, white courier blouses/tops and care for them well, remembering that some types age better than others. My earrings, rings, charms, etc. go into ice cube trays with silicon lids that are transluscent and stack, and I have a linen closet as well that has been adapted. I find something to wear is all about preparation and organization, like something to have for dinner.🥰
I needed this... just in time. Last night I did and inventory count of all my clothing. Turns out I have 25 tees, Yikes! Why I bought so many! Anyway I will donate or sell the repeats. And my jewelry is all in little cardboard boxes so your suggestion of the cork-board will come in handy. Can’t wait to start on that little project that will be very useful and fun to personalize. Thanks
I purchased two cork boards and push pins and have most of my costume jewelry in view on my bedroom wall. You are so right about out of sight out of mind! Smaller items are kept in clear craft containers for easy access.
Hi Christie, this video was so refreshing. It inspired me to go back and watch your body type course and some of the styling course again. My life style has changed so much in just a few weeks. I have gone from not working, to being a cashier, and now will be a trash and bathroom attendant. My company has a uniform of red top and tan pants. The rest of my lifestyle is now to work out and keep the body up. So, not doing much of the blazer, or skirt thing. I often wear dresses or pants while not working and am loving skorts instead of shorts here in Los Angeles. They help me step it up a little. Thanks so much, Love, Maren
I have learned so much from you. Everything you just said is true. When you don’t see your accessories you tend to grab the same gold earrings and necklace. Then later you see something that you should have worn with the outfit. And I do shop with purpose now that I’ve been listening to you. I use to shop so random that I had nothing to put together for an outfit. Thanks so much for all you do for us that listen.
accessories visible. . .such a great idea. I have a bunch of beautiful ones but I always have to remind myself to go look. one thing that does help is using one of the plastic acrylic compartmentalized organizers to store, so I can at least see all of them at once when I remove the lid. And hanging all my season scarves on one hanger to pull out.
Great tips!!! My favorite is the CORK BOARD!! Because of limited space I may take photos of my jewelry and new found outfits and keep that image handy. 😉 Thanks for keeping us in check. ❤️
Christie...this was great! I love all the tips especially the one about dressing for your lifestyle. I went from working in a conservative corporate company to owning my business. I now require a very different wardrobe. I find myself shopping for my old way of life versus my new one. I love the idea of styling my old clothes in new ways. Thanks again for all your great work!
Another great video! I also find that having clothes in my closet that don't really fit anymore is very distracting when making decisions on what to wear. Another thing I like to do for quick and easy decisions is to take my very favorite items and put them in a little section on their own. I know I can always reach for them and feel good about wearing them.
I absolutely love fashion. I have many medical conditions and I want do down size regarding my clothes and shoes. Any suggestions on what things to really keep that will be always be in style and can be worn in multiple ways?
Hi Christie thank you so much for this video. It is Winter here in Australia and l think l seem to wear jumpers and pants everyday. I must start sorting some outfits out. Thanks for the inspiration. xxxx
I got a job and needed new pieces that worked with their dress code and ended up buying a lot of things I don't enjoy wearing. 😕 hoping to start buying some better more feel good work clothes.
I love tip 2: don’t settle. This has really changed for me! I recently exchanged a pair of pants that I really liked, but wasn’t right for me. I wish you could shop with me here in the Netherlands 😊
So true! For me it's settling sometimes due to a super sale, but in the end, it usually isn't worth it. You're right that it's better to save that money for something good, not just OK.
Not settling stood out to me too. Its frustrating being plus size and finding clothes that are affordable in a style and color I like. I need modest skirts at least knee length or longer (not maxi floor length), but I keep seeing so many black skirts out there. I'm working on losing weight to increase my clothing options, but I need to buy clothes now for job interviews and stuff. When shopping, at times I felt like I was back against a wall and would buy something last minute just because it was my size and I was tired of searching
I wear to work EMT clothes and a lot of our date nights are on motorcycles. If I am off and need to go shopping, I will dress up, do my makeup and I enjoy it! I miss working in an office where I can do this on a daily basis. Time for a change, I am thinking.
I will add, when we ride I have a pair of Doc Martens that are floral print and a black pair with Roses on them. If we are at a Rally, I am in club colors and in other cases the tops will vary. I also have a drawer full of bandannas to do the matching thing. I try to make it all fun!
Would you be interested in doing a video about maternity clothes and styling? I apologize if you have already and I missed it. I scanned through your playlists and didn't see one. I lost all sense of my style during my past pregnancy and now that my husband and I are trying for another baby I'm wanting to still look good and put together. Last time I just wore maternity jeans and tshirts with elastic down the side seams for 6 months.
I’ve done several videos that are capsule based (I use 12-13 items instead) and use lots of colour (and make 216 outfits)! I have a playlist regarding that. I don’t believe in limiting colour palettes. 💖
What are your thoughts on buying the same print? I LOVE leopard print and I have it in totally different pieces that I can wear each season. I don't have so much that I wear it every week, but I can always find something cute with that print. What do you think would be too much?
Your videos are so inspiring, I’m absolutely going to play in my wardrobe now and see what outfits I can create from what I’ve already got. Thank you 😊
I’m a daycare worker and I need very comfortable stretchy clothes but I want to feel better in the outfits I chose. I feel I’m always wearing tights and a T-shirt
Great Video! if I see a piece I like that I am not sure if and how to rock it, I usually go to Pinterest however you offer great tips. Question tho, do you ever post any of your clients that you've styled? Interested in seeing how different body types can work with different piece you recommend- Although I do hear you talk more pattern combinations rather than cuts and seams. But I am new to your channels so maybe I missed that video. Anyway, enjoyed watching and listening.
I post looks of clients sometimes on IG stories, but only with their permission. Those are paid private sessions, so I don't want to invade their privacy with trying to get social content, you know? I cover the body-type info in the body-type class I mentioned for that reason. xo
Great tips Christie! I have been trying to mix things up now that I'm loaded with colour! :) Also love your lips in this vid. what colour are you wearing? xo
I am struggling a lot lately. I am so sick and I have been carrying so much water weight that my beautiful clothes don’t fit. I don’t want to financially go out and buy a ton of clothes. I am 6’1” and my weight is usually 190lbs.And now I am suffering and walk around at 265lbs. Any suggestions on pieces that would help that would be multi purpose wearable ??? Love your channel
I’m poor too. Shop in the clearance at places like kohl’s. They have the best prices I know of for clearance. Also stores like Ross and dots. They won’t last a lifetime, but if you’re like me, they don’t need to cause you’ll be tired of them

My problem is that I have a lot to wear, but nowhere to go😂
I live and work in a suburban area and my daily outfits are scrubs😩
Rock your weekend wear! I get dressed up with no where to go frequently! You don’t need a reason. Xo
I agree with Christie you don't need a reason to dress up. I dress up to work from home, or to make a festive Friday night feel.
I feel your pain. I recently retired from being a Registered Nurse and all I had to wear we scrubs!
Same 😂
I totally understand 😂
When I turned 30 last year, that’s when I finally learned how to be more intentional when shopping. Best. Thing. Ever. 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Bunny G Good for you. I’m 62 and just learned lol

So, they are your two hours shoes. Wear them out to eat.

I finally realised the duplicates and don't settle part !! Such an eye-opener! Thank you so much Christie. You're the best ❤
I like the way you hit home about our self talk and our energy. It's true 💜
Clothing can help us shift in such a beautiful, positive way!
Great tips!!! My favorite is the CORK BOARD!! Because of limited space I may take photos of my jewelry and new found outfits and keep that image handy. 😉 Thanks for keeping us in check. ❤️
These are true facts. I agree with everything you said. Thank you for this video.

So true! I accidentally find out I have a lot more than I think I while trying on clothes before traveling. Great Christie as always.
This was such a helpful video. Thanks so much for sharing!
So happy you enjoyed it!

I am totally guilty of the duplicates!! 75% of my closet is black and white right now. I've got to work on embracing color!
Fantastic video! I’m a shopper too 🛍🛒💖👗👠👜👑👛👝💖👌🏼😂
Shopaholics unite! xo
I absolutely love fashion. I have many medical conditions and I want do down size regarding my clothes and shoes. Any suggestions on what things to really keep that will be always be in style and can be worn in multiple ways?
Thanks Christine! I needed this video today! You have taught me that with a little more planning and playing I can save alot of time!
So happy it was helpful! Planning and playing can make SUCH a huge difference!
You look fabulous! 💖 your makeup is right on!
Thank-you!
Hi Christie thank you so much for this video. It is Winter here in Australia and l think l seem to wear jumpers and pants everyday. I must start sorting some outfits out. Thanks for the inspiration. xxxx
Marilyn Hodgkinson and if you’re from Melbourne (like me!) you might end up wearing a lot of our favourite uniform...... black on black on black 😬
Yes, right on point. You’re so right. Good tips I plan to implement
I got a job and needed new pieces that worked with their dress code and ended up buying a lot of things I don't enjoy wearing. 😕 hoping to start buying some better more feel good work clothes.

If you were going to have the ten item wardrobe what color would you choose as a base color? I love navy blue.
I’ve done several videos that are capsule based (I use 12-13 items instead) and use lots of colour (and make 216 outfits)! I have a playlist regarding that. I don’t believe in limiting colour palettes. 💖
That's why I love Stich Fix I always have something to wear
What are your thoughts on buying the same print? I LOVE leopard print and I have it in totally different pieces that I can wear each season. I don't have so much that I wear it every week, but I can always find something cute with that print. What do you think would be too much?
MsLotus47 there’s never enough animal print 😊 I have animal print week at work every so often to make sure I wear them all :)
Leopard print is a neutral!
Christie, this was so good. I needed every bit of it, thank you.
On the first video, you mentioned a “ wardrobe basics” video....I NEEEEEED THIS VIDEO, as I am fashion sense challenged. Please & thank you.
It’s already on my channel. 🥰
Your videos are so inspiring, I’m absolutely going to play in my wardrobe now and see what outfits I can create from what I’ve already got. Thank you 😊
Great info!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the helpful tips.
Couldn't agree with you more absolutely hun great advice thank you. I trust you!

You made some really good points......good advice and makes such sense.....Thank you...Hugs
Excellent points as usual!
Excellent info!!
Great content! I also like your inspiration and dedication, it shows 😊👍
Excellent points! Thanks!
Sometimes you put a link to the clothes you’re wearing in the video but didn’t this time. What’s that tee you’re wearing? Is it linen?
Great video. Guilty on two counts...settling and duplicates. I no longer settle, working on the duplicates! :)
Quality in this vid is top notch! Way to up your game!
Are those your real lashes? wow!! I love your expression "feeling stale." I want to feel fresh...
They are! I use a lash serum called Eyenvy. 💖
@@ChristieRessel thanks! Did a search and it's exclusively Canadian. You are a walking ad for it's effectiveness!
That was super useful. Thank you! 😊😘
So happy you enjoyed it!
Love love love this video. Thanks for this!
So Great! I always LOVE your instructional, yet fun videos 🥰
You talk a lot about basics but I’m having trouble even deciding what basics are needed. Do you have a video on this?
Yess. th-cam.com/video/vJqydt2AEPI/w-d-xo.html
anyone else sad when the video ends? Got to wait another week now!!
I’ll be going back to my twice a week schedule soon. ❤️😘
@@ChristieRessel , I would loooooooove that ......can't wait 😉🤗!!!!!
You are so sweet and fashion knowledgeable!♥️
Thank-you so much! xo
Great ideas! Love this video.
I’m a daycare worker and I need very comfortable stretchy clothes but I want to feel better in the outfits I chose. I feel I’m always wearing tights and a T-shirt
What’s some style blogs you would recommend?
Yaaas Christie! Amazing, empowering video. Love you. Xx
Sending love back! xo
Enjoy your channel! Fantastic tips - and you are so pretty!☺️
GREAT VIDEO, I LOVE TO INTERCHANGE MY OUTFITS. HAVE A BLESSED FRIDAY.
So smart😃🤗
Love this!
So happy you like it!
Duplicates might not be a problem for me. For example I love UNIQLO EZY Ankle pants and have them in 10 colours.

I was wearing a pink ByTerry lipbalm with gloss over top :)
Excellent video and advices as always I want to say ^^
Can you do some cute “momable” outfits!?! ☺️🙃
I enjoy your videos .
I'm so happy to hear that!

I could start with my module formula that I talk about in my capsule videos. Xo
I have nothing to wear sometimes because I have fat ugly days and think I look good in nothing.😕
Chances are it's the clothes that don't look good! Not you! Every body is unique in style & body.
You are such cute girl love your voice and little giggle
Because I'm poor
Thrift stores offer plenty of affordable options that are fun!

I love thrift shopping. Ive been on a weight loss journey and have had to replace things often. I just thrift new pieces :)
Seriously, im first! ?
