Another excellent video. I picked up a very lightly used SL7 and figured LBS to do this then found your video. Well explained. Great pictures. Ordered my parts and up in running in 15 minutes
Excellent video! Great detail! I especially liked your wiring diagrams. I hadn't seen your video before, and so I took a different approach. Same concept, but you can actually fit the D-Fly in-line behind the charging junction box in the right drop bar (on the handlebars). I did that on my other half's Domane LT7+ and on my Canyon Grail, both of which have the charging port in the right-side drop bar. Cheers!
Many Trek shops have road, or mtn, or gravel experts, no ebike experts. Thank you! I meant Di2 experts. My brand new Domane with Dura Ace Di2 is still in the shop. It is an ebike.
Good idea and well done job 👍 I would like to suggest to put all SD50 cables, inside any sponge protection tube cable, like JAGWIRE internal housing damper
Perkele, thanks for the comment! On my bike, the extra short cable is definitely needed. The wireless module will not connect directly to the battery. Dave

These are the types of videos that make TH-cam worth it. Thank you. You helped me out.
Thanks so much for that nice comment. I am happy to hear the video helped you!

Mark, thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment! I hope you enjoy the wireless features, I love mine! The SL7 is quite a nice bike!
Dave
Very Interesting. I have never seen a bike with this hollow storage area in the down tube. Good design to put the DI2 battery down in there too.
Yes, the Domane's integrated storage is a fantastic feature! I keep a spare tube and tire repair kit in there!

Thanks for your excellent video! I’m going to fix that wireless unit to my new Émonda.
Oh man, that’s awesome! I love it! Congrats on the Emonda!

Great just bought a 5k bike now I need to buy more stuff to use the gears fully

Dave
Hi what is the part number of the di2 cable tool. I do believe there is 2 two deferent one.
Joseph, mine is the TL-EW02 Shimano E-tube tool.
Dave
Is tool necessary? Can you just use finger to pull or push?
I have not tried that. I suppose it is possible but not recommended!
Dave
i think you don´t need the extra cable... you can plug in the unit in the stock cable and batterie!
Perkele, thanks for the comment! On my bike, the extra short cable is definitely needed. The wireless module will not connect directly to the battery.
Dave
I didn’t understand why you needed the last cable when the wireless unit was already plugged into the battery..
Nice job
Thank you very much!
