Lolol Yes, a big difference! One of the most unique things is that Maui doesn’t have seasons the same way the rest of North America does. It almost starts to feel like ground hogs day when you live there because there is no traditional fall, winter, spring. It’s really uniqueZ

@@roryandsage the falls we’re definitely gushing and we had rain earlier that day, but it looked to us like the gate had been locked for awhile. The path was not as worn as it was in other areas. Easier, short hike to start. Nice. Cool, unexpected mini waterfall you found, and the falls you showed us...wow. Great lesson on how Hawaii's ecosystem came so differently than most. NICE 🐢!! Last time we saw seals or sea lions was on Pier 39 in San Francisco. It was SO amazing. Oh, so it's Wisconsin weather at the top! We're used to that. But not the tooth issue. That crater is INSANE. And that was a gutsy hike, Mom & Dad! Great journey, you two!
I love Maui. I love water falls. We saw these turtles up close in Hawaii last summer. We saw a seal too. I came up right on the sand where we were sitting. I was up to Haleakala when I was 12. Tried to do it at sunrise. My dad had to drive so slow because of the hairpin turns. The air is thin up there. Enjoyed seeing the old photos and new ones.

Yes!! Haleakala is really special!! In our opinion, Haleakala has even better views than the active volcano on the big island.
