I think a lot off people miss the point with the can am, they are doing exactly what a competitor should do, they not only caught up to but surpassed the rzr in no time with a fraction of the development time polaris has had, now polaris has responded with a competitive machine the new pro r, you have to kinda give it to can am for their rapid rise to greatness, I ended up going with a 21 turbo rr after months of research and have been absolutely blown away with the reliability and sheer speed of the can am, plus got 1800 miles out of the stock belt with some considerably hard driving the whole time, I don't think many other manufacturers have their clutching down as well in my opinion.
I would love to see both of these machines do some DRAGY runs on closed course pavement before the add one get done. It would be a stock benchmark to compare future mods to and for the x3 to compare to previous years
The naturally aspirated 4 cyl. rzr beats the Can-Am in every single performance category and it doesn't even have a turbo. Imagine the 4 cyl. with a turbo...
@@cboutdoorfun9955 it is true. How can one argue against physics? 225 hp is quicker than 200 and the MAV has a turbo and the RZR does not and it's still faster. What RZR are you talking about? I own a Troy Lee "special edition" and stock it's quicker than any Can-Am that is stock on the market. I dragged against a guy with a brand new 2024 Can-Am and I dusted him by 3 lengths in less than a 1/4 mile and I know I weighed more than he did by quite a bit. Plain old 91 octane gas. I mean, a 4 cylinder with 225 hp. is quicker than a 3 cylinder that is barely 200 hp. This is fact not fiction. Yes, generally speaking MAV's are better dragsters, but not against the 4 cylinder even know the MAV's have turbo's and the 4 cylinders do not. If I added a turbo to by troy lee, I would absolutely destroy a MAV even worse than I do when I am stock. The dynamix DV with selectable ride modes:, comfort, rock, rock and baja are second to none. You can always trade yours in for the quicker, more robust, smoother RZR that is "Is as in not opinion, but a fact" quicker. Unless of course 225 horsepower is slower than less than 200 horsepower. Imagine if my Troy Lee had a turbo like the X3 has...
My take on Polaris v Can Am has always been Polaris seems to do a lot of pioneering new ideas and new categories, and then Can Am looks at that and asks how it can be turned to 11. They have a bit more performance in some areas for it, but they also tend to seem a bit more aggressive and savage. Which a lot of people like. They both have more or less the same max capability, but they each seem more at home in different parts of the range they're capable of. Honestly, I love how the SXS industry has 2 big brands willing to go after different parts of the market. They keep pushing one another and moving the entire industry forward so fast. And then you've got the other manufacturers building off that to make units that excel at certain things. Almost anyone can find a SXS thats perfect for what they want
My thoughts on the Polaris. Too heavy. Too expensive. How’s it compare to a 5 year old platform like the x3?wonder how the reliability will be for the new engine not to mention the bushings and bearings prematurely going bad due to weight? For a performance machine the x3 has it in every aspect for comparisons. Drag racing may be close but add a tune to the x3 and it would take 10 grand to push the Polaris ahead.
I truly love that you guys don't milk every light bar install. Quality content as usual! My choice of winner for this episode goes to The Buffalo for looking damn good! That Pro R in yellow is a close second.

Great vid guys. Will be interesting to see some good rubber on the Polaris. I think your analysis on the machines is spot on. Considering that we were all over the moon when the XP1K came out, and looking at what is being built today, it is really a crazy progression.
I recommend upgrading roll cages and safety harnesses before another trip like that again. Little sketch on ice and mud on narrow roads lined with trees. “Not hating or being negative but no video for us is worth getting hurt.” Happy for you guys, congrats on everything you have accomplished and can’t wait for more content. These last couple vids. They're just comparing their "stock" SXS's, with guys who have had & tested more SXS's then most people will ever ride. It's just like with anyone, that has anything. After a while you get to know the limits of what your in or on. I fully understand the concern for safety & I'm not trying to down play it. But at this point, their as close to professional drivers as you can get without some kind of certification. Even as goofy as they act sometimes.

I have a bad back and hip so the, Can Am x3 is more gentle on my body at all speeds. So I can go faster longer. If Polaris offered a more sporty seating position, I think we’d see more people leaning that way. I’ve raced cars my whole life, so the tractor seat feel just never worked for me. For that reason, it was an easy choice on the X3 when deciding between the two. Personally think the X3 sounds a lot better too. Either way, great machines. I know you guys think the X3 can’t drift like the Pro R, but my pavement auto cross and gravel/dirt rally cross racing in the X3 says otherwise 😎

Great footage guys if only that giveaway was running in Australia I’m still going to buy some merch anyway keep on ripping it 👍🏼
I've been going up to st. Helen ever since i was a lil kid but never in the off season. Crazy how different those trails look even though i could tell exactly where you were.
Would love to catch yall up there sometime! P.s how did richfield twnshp. Treat the raptor rippin down central dr./st.helen trl
Just moved up there in July. Weekday riding is the best!
We survived unscathed lol
Glad to hear Lmao! good group of pepole up there first responders included! And @Michigan moose you will learn to love it up there wish i was full time resident holiday weekends are hell though!
F for the Drone. I think I’d prefer the Pro R just due to creature comforts and all motor. Can’t wait to see what comes out for it.
I love yall videos! Always having a good laugh!
i suppose they're itching to build these machines but snow is just not good conditions to compare these units.
Can Am is for sure getting ready for a huge update/redesign in the next year, x3 was 2017.
Trails look a little sketchy for those speeds, kept waiting for someone to put er in the woods 😆
Long long ways from the wildcat days keep on keeping on
Does the Polaris need upgraded axles and diff to handle double black Appalachian trails? The X3 does.
Those RZR A arms look mighty beefy.
I agree,
The seating is way better in the X3.
Played a big Part in my decision!
@@theglitch99 I think they could do both with one chassis....make a tall cage upright seat and a low cage low seat model with otherwise identical chassis?
I haven't ridden a side-by-side since I owned the first original Honda Odyssey. I can't wait to test out a new one or newer one I'm sure it's going to feel crazy fast no matter what machine it is. Hopefully you're still running this giveaway come payday on the 1st when I get my government check for social securit
The real question is, does Doug have buyer's remorse on Battlefield par deus???
Seriously only 1 I say 1 true comparison left…………… around the pond at the battlegrounds. Please Please Please. Lol. Love both machines
The rzr interior is so much better the x3 looks like it's 10 years old on the inside. The pro also looked much more stable over the whoops
Doug's new truck gonna be 2022 F150 Hybrid all electric and gonna kick some serious butt against Leo's Trx
Bottom line to me is personal preference both are B A D fast very good machines 👏
Frankie looks Like he's one with the pro's matching jacket and all 🤣
Ole Big Hobby
Old snow cross jacket
Fly knows how to make a coat
Is this at the free area parking lot off st Helen trail, in st Helen?
Please compare the 4 seat Pro R and the 2 seat Pro R. Thanks!
X 3 for me boys. Much love from oregon !
About 200,000$ worth of machinez rite there❤❤
