Watching the pass rush highlights and run defense highlights really puts this HOFer's career into perspective. Easily the GOAT! Makes you wonder how many more he would've had if he stayed clean and avoided suspension time.

Even as a loyal fan of my High School where I played football at that level and the GIANTS, I thought the hall of fame was his destination. He had every last possible positive characteristic you wanted for a safety, and he had it in spades. Like a Royal Flush of Spades. He was smart, big, fast, could hit, could catch, could change up the defensive play after surveying the opostition. Dude was like the James Brown of defensive backs: SUPER BAD!
I'll never forget the Niner playoff game when all Craig had to do was run the ball once to get to the SB and all I could say was we need a fumble now, and LT delivered.
Look, LT is the greatest defensive player ever, period. Nevertheless, Craig did not still have it in his arms--it was bouncing off Craig's ass when LT snagged it. I give LT credit for being in the thick of things and securing the loose ball, but Eric Howard deserves full credit for making the play.
He definitely had more than 33 forced fumbles.the video on them icludes playoffs which those 33 do not and some he really didnt force but from what i see he had about 50 ff.the thing is,what sets lt apart,he almost never missed a tackle because he didnt knock the ball loose.alot of the pretenders do!!!

WOW i looked at this stats on on NFL.com and on Pro football stats and it only listed 3 Forced fumbles and 1 interception and I don't get it when he really had 11 interceptions and like 55 Forced fumbles if he was playing by today's rules he would have had 65 forced fumbles or so, also the first few years of his career they did not record sacks or he would have been top 5 all time easy. Not to mention they probably shorted him at least 10 fumble recovers also. Someone at Nfl headquarters needs to go back review all the tapes and fix all the inconsistencies because its BS. Also, I think they should go back and review all the games from the superbowl era on to get certain stats right. I would still like to know how many sacks someone like Deacon Jones had And how m,any forced fumbles players like Jack Tatum and Dick Butkus had even if the old timers stats would not be official, I still think it would bring a lot of clarity and put into perspective just how great some of the old timers were even if the stats are not official.
Great video! If you count LTs sacks, fumbles forced and fumbles recovered, and interceptions, he had 208 disruptive plays on defense, or 16 a year...or one a game. That's not even counting the TFLs he must have had...
Numbers 13 & 14 were from the same game. I remember watching that game at the time. They look so similar to one another (one was at the Giant 6 yard line, the other Giant 11), except for how the plays ended.
