    Not bad for your first house! Just a couple tips from a design standpoint though: when using dark flooring, use lighter colors on the wall. If you want darker colors on the wall, use lighter floors. Also, brighter colors make small spaces feel bigger.
    Don’t use 2 colors on the same wall (like you did where the kitchen and living room meet). You can use 2 or even 3 colors in the same room, but they should each get their own wall.
    Never ever ever ever butt 2 styles of floors up to each other (like the kitchen and living room). It’s an outdated look and nobody does it anymore, only use different floors if a door separates them.
    Lastly, don’t be afraid to knock out some walls and change up the whole floor plan. Open concepts are the rage now, plus it would be even more interesting for us viewers to see you completely change the layout of the house.
    Be bold, after all it’s just a game.
    Love the channel, keep up the good work man!

      Amen brother I was thinkin the same thing. Don't be afraid to take down walls. He was wanting a door to the bathroom so y not make one. But I'm not sure if he could of built a sink.

    Buggs, just so you know the radiators are filled with water which flows through them basically heating them and they in turn dissipate heat into the air warming the room. They only go hot as far as water in the pipes in your house so not really that hot. You can burn yourself but no one really sets them that hot. And radiators are standard in Europe like almost everywhere :D

    The radiators don't heat up past like 55-60°C I think. Or at least not hot enough to light up anything. You can like pretty much hug them if you like to. There are certain parts which heat up more than others, especially the top, but you rarely put them to max power because you'll just get baked in your room then. So no risk at all.
    And the ones for towels are the best thing on earth, I tell you that. The towels are just so cosy afterwards, it's amazing.
    In the kitchen, I wouldn't have put tiles up to the ceiling. In our kitchen, they just go high enough to catch all the liquids bombarding the walls. But they usually don't fly THAT high. Saves money and imo looks cleaner. The bathroom is just fine. What kinda annoyed me were the lamps you chose. If you put the same one everywhere it looks kinda cheap.
    And it's all kinda too dark.

    Buggs I love this series. For smaller houses, to make them feel more open and larger than they actually are, focus on using light colors. For example, a light hardwood floor instead of the darker options

  • @romanmiller8038
    @romanmiller8038 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Just to give you some insight into the radiators, older houses, like the ones in the North East, use forced hot water for heat. Alot of times it is more cost effective to keep the old system in place then replace it with something more modern. They typically are not always hot but can cause burns if not careful. I have one by my front door and its more of an annoyance than a real problem.

    always good to add a few plants for a warm feeling, a picture or two never hurt, and always a towel radiator in the bathroom at least (don't worry they don't make things catch fire they aren't a pure furnaces they are more gentle heaters) all in all a great episode, i prefer the more house flipping than job stuff but that's my personal opinion

  • @barney1762
    @barney1762 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Radiators are restricted to the amount of heat they give off and towels are semi fire resistant, thats why they don't set on fire. Radiators are built in such a way, so what goes on it wont set on fire because the only thing that makes the heat in a radiator is hot water being cycled around the small tubes inside. And when you think about it, hot water wouldn't set a towel or something on fire

    Radiators are very safe, they are used a lot in my country, they get hot to where you can hold your hand on them for only like 2 sec, but they are safe, i have never heard of any situation where a house caught fire because of a radiator (im talking about ones that are installed properly)

    Radiators are economical because you can set the temperature in each room differently or have all but the room you're in turned off. You don't burn yourself on radiators because they don't get hot enough to scald you. They are not fire hazards because they work by circulating hot water through pipes. I don't know how central air works, or whatever you called your alternative, but maybe they are not as economical or environmentally friendly?
    The radiators in this game are placed weirdly though, most radiators only sit below windows so they don't take up valuable wall space.

    Why should the towel radiator be dangerous? I understand that you live somewhere ppl don't use them, but srsly- they don't heat up to 100 degrees (and that's Celsius, cus screw F).
    Towel drier usually operates around 40-50 degrees, so just a little hotter than human body. Wall mounted radiators that heat the house also won't get THAT hot, definitely haven't heard anyone hurt themselves with them, as they usually being heated by water. And they don't pump boiling water out into the homes. So chillax, everything's fine, insurance won't think that ya gonna burn your home down with radiators or anything ;)

    Before I begin I'd just like to say I started watching your videos during the Code Zero days, then as time went on you were recording with a certain popular streamer that I'll leave unnamed, very often while with DOJ. That certain person, at least from my perspective, was just becoming increasingly bitter in random comments about his viewers and community members and it became toxic. I had to take off for a while but I am super glad to be back watching you Buggs! I know you still hook up with this person on occasion but keeping this uploading variety is a good thing for you and for this channel. Keep up the strong work brother!
    I'd like to see more building just as long as there will be some variety... Variety as in size and/or type of the house/rooms. I would hope that the game provides larger more complex living areas as you level up (this is my second time seeing this game so I just don't know.)
    Advise:
    - Try to remember storage space for people.... i.e. closet, dresser, cabinetry, etc...
    - It wouldn't hurt to consider more furnishings.... i.e. trash cans, indoor plants, couch pillows (if that's even a thing), etc... Get creative such as putting a TV in a bedroom or even the bathroom.
    The DREADED radiator:
    I was born and raised until 8yr old in Torrance/Long Beach Cali. As a military brat moving all over the country/world I can tell you radiators are a lot more common then they are uncommon to see in a house. I understand your confusion if you're not used to seeing them. Yes they can burn you but that would require sustained contact and your heat would have to be cranked up. Generally they are just fine to touch and brush up against... just as long as you're not reaching in between the heating fins.
    I love these type of videos from you! Keep up the awesome work!

  • @kevinisaname
    @kevinisaname 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You can add plants and paintings to kind of liven up the place. Surprisingly, this does help with certain buyers. You can also add speakers that will work well with other buyers who like a 'home cinema' room. Also, I really like using the "Bedside table Anna" right/left side for a little nicer nightstand on each side.
    It gets a little disappointing on how few tiling/panel options you have after you've done this a while (I've completed the game, but am still playing it and trying completely different things I normally wouldn't do.) And I feel like you do get better prices when you furnish the house (though the buyers never purchase all the furniture you put in there.) I also find it's easier to just ignore the buyers and do what you feel comfortable doing, unless you're specifically catering to a certain buyer for that achievement.

  • @cjpisa4236

    for the kitchen you could have extended the wall and made a small L around the sink to allow the tile to extend to the full width of the door and still keep a semi open concept, radiators are used in houses with gas heating, older houses like in the mountains will tend to have electric mounted heaters with coils. Radiators tend to cost less over central heating as you only have to heat rooms your using.

    BaB just a heads up on how to safe money. When Painting/Tiling when you get to the bottom of the can or pile of tiles/boards, Sell the remaining few and buy a new bundle. You get about 75% of the cost price back no matter how much paint or tiles are there so sell the last one and buy a new bundle. Great for big jobs seeing as you use 3/4 packs of tiles per bathroom, it can end up saving you a lot of money.

    Something I forgot. Radiators have been used for decades and I can't recall one of them being blamed for causing a fire. They work by circulating hot water or I believe some use steam. The towel rack is safe and leaves your towels nice and warm. The only setback is they take a while to warm a house up, so are best left on, they give a really dry warmth with no smell. Americans use them a lot, that's why they used to have a boiler in the basement which was always going out. They are possibly the safest heating around apart from perhaps heat banks.

    The radiators doesn't get like 1000 degrees. And a towel radiator gets just warm enough to dry your towels.

    radiators work as a form of heat hot water from boilers flow through them making them warm and also heat up the room that they are placed in they are more common near the New England area no I am not from New England or an expert about any of this stuff

    Appreciating the variety bugs, tip for house flipper, you may want to gut the houses(There's never anything useful in them), clean, demolish, paint, then replace the parts you took out. Doing it that way just makes the whole process easier.
