- I have 20 minutes to try and catch as many cars as possible, however we are out in the sand dunes on the new Horizon 5 rally expansion and while i might have 1000 Hp in my truck it is far from easy.

But either the hunted need lower PI or Alex higher.
definitly specialy in such wide open area his car was just barely bit better and well the other city hunts are way more exciting due all the alleys etc
Alex lacked acceleration and handling.
Yeah. They were able to just kind of run in circles and call it a day.
Not the fault of the "survivors" that Alex chose a bad vehicle.
@Yuri Wankov Alex's car is the best car for this situation. It's just that in Forza, even supercars have cross-country capabilities.

The fact that longbow never got caught in the reliant is either a testimant to their amazing reliant driving skills, amazing reliant tuning skills, or to alex's inability to control a thousand horsepower brick

Funnily enough, a massive boat with no grip is gonna have trouble catching a bunch of tiny nimble rally cars, no matter how much power you put down.
I think "no matter how much power you [try] to put down" sounds better...
It's more like Forza can't simulate cars correctly.
The Ultra 4 Alex is using is in its home. Forza doesn't have to be Beamng, but it shouldn't allow rally cars or even road cars to do cross country so easily. AWD was banned in rally for some time because a Jeep Wagoneer beat some nimble rally cars in a very rough rally course in the 60s. It would take Audi to lobby for its return in the 80s. If this was in Forza, it would never happen.

BeamNG isn't really what I would call a proper simulation, either...
You are aware that you can equip any car with an off road suspension and all wheel drive, I hope. Not just in game, but also in real life.

Huge area plus no buildings are alleys; Alex definitely has a tough task.
It's like a wolf attacking gazelles. You should make all of them drive Reliants and stay in a herd as much as possible.

The Reliant Supervan is the Ultimate Bait in this game, you would think it's terrible but it's the World Record holder for a lot of Road, Street, Dirt and Cross Country Courses in D and C Class. Utter Monster if you can deal with the funky handling due to all the speed and acceleration. Same with the Peel P50 and Trident which are also extremely strong for both Road and Offroad in the lower classes.

I think it's more that Ewan plays around Alex to keep it interesting rather than trying to "win".

A little tweak and this could be good. To still catch 12 at a slight disadvantage is still respectable. Always enjoy these.
They tweaked something to the physics when the HW expansion came out and the Reliant does not want to tip over anymore. No idea why.

I wouldn't call that skunked but I would say that you got taken to school Alex! When this started i was like you, I saw your vehicle compared to the others I was like you had them, this was a non issue. But then those little buggies just showed you that you were outclassed. Your buggy was superior to there's on paper but practicly it was other way around.
Next time how about a 1,000 HP Robin with all wheel drive and huge tires?

I think you should do a rally car build series on the new expansion
2 suggestions, 1 change the chase vehicle, and on such an open space keep it at night so at least you can see the lights and know which way to go chasing
An open area kind of kills your class advantage because you can't prevent handling builds from entering a turn fight and you can't force power builds into a mistake in the turns
Whomever was driving that Mini Countryman was repeatedly making the mistake you DON'T want to do. You absolutely do NOT want to turn into the direction your opponent is traveling. You do NOT want your opponent on your 6.
Right angles are your friend. Or, if you already have the speed advantage to cut across your opponent's nose, then turn the OPPOSITE direction, and make your opponent do a U-turn.

It is too open either it needs custom track parts to create some routes around the area ( walls non destructible ) or you need to go to full on A Class

Race idea : makeshift team racing Forza horizon 5
Teams of 3
Choose 3 different manufacturers and 3 different classes of cars. Between you and your two teammates you have to use one of each car manufacturer and one of each class of car, but this way different teams mix and match manufacturers and car class differently.
All happens in one race so it's actually 3 races in one
