He insisted on a masterpiece, even the original name was loopy masterpiece. We are all grateful to Michael Tyson and people like you for helping us to get going and seeing through an endless feature set. Hey Perry 👋 Yes, I am a long standing user of Loopy and then Loopy HD and had conversations with Micheal when it was pencilled in as the ‘Masterpiece Edition’. It’s been a long tim waiting but BOY have we been rewarded for that wait! It’s amazing it me with all the other big music companies out there.. think of all the manufacturers who now have apps and this one man has single handedly changed the game for a whole industry!! Loopy HD, Audiobus, Loopy Pro.. it’s fantastic and he deserves an award from the industry in my opinion! Thank you for your kind words regarding the video too. It is a big leap into this app so this video was all about getting started. 👍🏻 Much appreciated. 🙏
At @10:00 you discuss the problem of having multiple auv3 instruments controlled by the same midi controller and the need to mute the ones you dont want to hear. Your example only has two auv3s, so muting one isnt a big deal. But what if the midi controller was controlling more? Is there an easy way to target a certain auv3 and mute /disarm all others? Ideally this could be mapped to a button. I hope that made sense as well as my terminology.
If I could quickly change the channel directly from my midi controller, that could be a viable solution. But it seems I need to use software to change the midi output channels on the controller.
Yes I really. It depends on the midi pedal. Some will output multiple channels at the same time or one button could be channel 1 where another could be channel 3 for example. This would solve the issue but you would be looking at the top tier midi pedals on the market to do this.
Great tutorial as ever JP, so well explained. I’m still not quite understanding buses and when they would be used but that is not your teaching skills, more my lack of knowledge!!
That’s a damn fine question. So go to settings in the menu (top right) and have a look at Multiroute Audio When you enable Multiroute Audio, you can configure Loopy Pro to output audio to both the built-in headphone port, and a USB audio interface simultaneously. Bluetooth audio devices and AirPlay are not supported in this mode.

Hi JP, I recently downloaded Loopy Pro and currently exploring possibilities. Unfortunately, it looks like LP doesn't come with Audio Unit sounds. Can you tell me how I could get some free Audio sounds for me to test LP?
Go to the App Store and look at AUV3 plugins. A good synth is Synth One my AudioKit pro which is free and you can use the sounds from GarageBand too! Free. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for all the videos you post, I'm trying to set a traveling kit and wonder can you route audio to the headphone output of an audio interface? for example if I want to have a click track or talk back microphone routed to a the headphone output because I have a small interface(audient evo4 is right now the leader) is that possible?
Hey 👋 so it depends on the audio unit. You can certainly route anything to any output if you have an audio interface that has multiple outs, and loopy recognises that but it’s down to whether the headphone output is seen as a separate output, which most don’t. The alternative to using a click with sound is using a click with light and letting the iPad flash to give you the bpm. It’s harder but less hassle audio wise. But if you can plug the headphones into output 3 or 4 then it should work.
Can loopy pro record like a daw while we are looping? Also, wanted to ask ,if it's possible to create a monitoring channel strip after the master with an effect on it? I'd like to use Morphit on that channel to have a flat frequency responce on my headphones. Cheers. Those vids are very helpful btw.
Totally up to you. You don’t have to if you have multipe inputs set on the loopy pro mixer. Watch this video in the series: th-cam.com/video/LVlcXiqrtaQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MHQs_Nk8CSls4LF9

Hello JP, Question? So I’m a guitarist only, don’t sing. I use software for guitar amp and effects. Would I place my guitar amp and effects on my audio interface input channel? I currently have an amp on a color channel and choose that as a destination from my audio interface channel. Not sure which is best. Thank you.
Hey 👋 So the question would be do you want the amp and effects to be recorded in the loop or changed afterwards. If it’s the sound you want to loop then, yes, put it on the input channel. You can put it on the colour channel but then when you change channels it won’t sound like that if you go to another colour. Hope that makes sense. 👍🏻 Have a look at the Loopy Pro Series. I’d like to be able to adjust my personal instruments volume in my own monitor independently from what is being sent to the main system. I was hoping to do this in the software, but am I better off with just using a hardware mixer before I send my sound to the main? Using a N.I. Komplete Audio 6 interface, so I have 6 in & out.

So, are you talking about plugging the iPhone or pad into the output ports in the back? If so where do I get a cable for that! Still confused about your comment!
So ironically now, I’ve moved over to the iPhone 15 which is USBC so no dongle needed.. but what you need to do is use the USBC - USBA cable you would have got with the Arturia and then use the iPhone camera USB adapter which has both USBA and Lightening in underneath and then plug the audio interface into that with the iPhones power cable. Then plug the lightening of the adapter into the phone.
With loopy pro and Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 using cables from outputs 1 and 2 to external speakers things work fine, but is it possible to output from loopy pro to the speakers via Bluetooth. Obviously my speakers have Bluetooth capability. Research says the answer is something to do with echo cancellation in Loopy Pro and IOS “measurement mode” but can’t get speakers to work whilst iPad is connected to 4i4. Speakers work fine with Bluetooth when the iPad is communicating directly with the speakers using bluetooth, just not when audio interface gets involved.
