Rocket is such an underrated character in Young Justice. She deserve more screen time and more character development. We don't know her background story, her personality, her relationship with Icon and all of her powers.
Rocket really got the short end of the stick despite being a late addition to the original line-up. I don’t know the story of the original character, but glad she’s finally getting focus. Eventhough it’s really late into the series.
@@charlierawes269 she’s actually working to establish good relations with New genesis and the green lantern corp as a Diplomat and is teamed up with forager and the jay jay Garrick aka the original flash while also trying to figure out whose stealing their technology and causing terrorism while forager is also trying to repair his peoples status and recognition with the new gods as the visit reminds him of all his hardships
Instead DC are going the lazy route and making black Superman instead leaving characters like Rocket, Icon, John Stewart, Vixen and Black Lightening on the shelf to collect dust.
Also, they didn't really go out of their way to develop her that well. I mean, with the vast majority of them were the sidekicks of Batman, Superman, The Flash, Green Arrow, etc. Even if you didn't know that much about them, they we're still the sidekicks of very well-established heroes that have been around for nearly a century. But Icon and Rocket were relatively very new being created in the 90s. And Young Justice started around 2010 which means these are characters that we're only a little over a decade old.
I am a bit peeved they reduced her powers, in the comics she can do a lot more than just fly and make force fields. She can manipulate kinetic energy, a super useful power.
Yeah, poor girl comes off as whiny by constantly telling others she's a sitting duck and can't do anything when she's got a shield up, but I'm positive there's more to her abilities they just don't have time to show. Really hope her arc in season 4 gives her the time she needs to shine!
@@TrentvsTheWorld Not as a character, but she just doesn't get enough to do in battles before she has to let others know again and again that she can't move. Its a shame.
Yeah ESPECIALLY the one between S1 and S2, that one was REALLY polarizing for me as a first time watcher. The Justice League side plot was also not very entertaining either
