Rejected update: The minus coin! A coin that deducts your coin counter and kills you when you reach zero coins! It also comes with the 10, 30, and 50 coin variant!

Yup
New theme: title screen! Rather than playing this level normally, when you load the game it randomly picks a title screen level. It controls like normal, but if you die, the game crashes! This won’t be frustrating at all!
When I saw "Rejected Updates #9 featuring DGR!", I knew I was going to have a lot of fun!
A clear condition
"You need to have battery at 1% or under to beat this level"
Imagine playing at 100 percent on a charger the entire time…… that would be really fun!

Rejected Update: New Fury Bowser Variants. We loved making a Meowser version of everybody, but now we are gonna make a Fury/Fury Bowser version of everybody. Can you imagine the fun now? Pretty self explanatory, instead of looking furry, they look furious and are goop, and instead of hiding in the background all day letting you suffer and then run out of time, they are giga and stronger and they finish you off pretty quick!
Btw the idea of all enemies has meowser variants was by me 😊

Okay, but there’s the possibility that you might accidentally smash your switch with a hammer and lose your progress in a level, so maybe a feature could be added where if you get stuck in a level, a Nintendo employee will kidnap you so you can’t destroy your switch and lose your progress in a level
But people might fight back the employee

When you hit them, their contents fall onto you instead of on top of the block, so you can have that muncher-trapped question block you've always wanted!

After the new series of Trolled items, we got an amazing idea to add...
Troll endless! It's similar to super exper endless, but only gives you troll levels! Can't wait to get antisoftlocked 37000000000 times in one run! And you also only have one life.
Also the no accidental checkpoint resetting still applies
New: Giant Giant enemies
(Enemies keep growing until they are offscreen)
New: Poison & Lava now break dowb the level a bit so everything is more chaotic

Sonic power-up: all you can do is run straight, and you break anything you run into, including the flag pole! There is absolutely NO way this is a horrible decision :)

Rejected update: Jelly mushroom, this power up turns mario into Jelly mario from the game Jelly mario bros. So have fun with the hard to master controls and everything kills you in one hit.
The ability to cause tiles to function as the Sun, so you can have entire levels( or 1-1 remakes) cycling around
Mystery Mushroom: Can turn you into ANY CHARACTER of choice, just like in smm1, and you can also turn any enemy into any character as well, just imagine the endless possibilities
The Anti-Flagpole: instead of ending the level it brings you all the way back to the beginning

Rejected update: by putting a sound effect on Mario, it will make a sound when he crouched, but we found that pretty lackluster. Now he makes that noise literally any time u do anything!

Enemy-like yoshis: Dry Yoshi's that shoot bones and are immune to fire, they crumble when hit rather than flee. Spiked Yoshi's (They have a spike on their head and tall spikes on saddle, Mario has to jump inbetween the Saddle Spikes), Spiked Yoshi can raise spikes high when you press attack button and try not to jump on the head spike. Ghost Yoshis can spit dark fire/ectoplasm and if they are facing an enemy or player facing them, they are chaotic and can fly and go through stuff, when Mario or an enemy looks at them from the front, they freeze, but if he gets when stunned, he will go flying around the screen crazily spam-spitting dark fire at you for a few seconds until disappearing. Also the Laki-Yoshi, it's cloud only disappears after taking damage, surprise the players with what it spits out, default is spiked yoshi eggs, and they hatch into Baby Spiked Yoshis. What about Bomb Yoshi's? When their cheeks explode, so do they! Even a Goomba Yoshi that splits into 2 Baby Goomba Yoshis, or it can get flipped, make it random! And Birdo Yoshi, Baby Yoshis, Blue Yoshi and of course a Bowser Yoshi! As long as they don't commit Yoshi abuse by spamming them all in a level for the best chaos ever!

A suggestion: The Fleeshroom: Moves away from the player at their exact speed, but unable to run from walls. When collected, Mario will flee from your Nintendo Switch, running from you until you hit Mario in such a way that he dies
Rejected update: Introducing yellow, black, orange, blue, pink and dark blue yoshi! It’s the same as green yoshi but you won’t believe it their different colours and have no special abilitys

Why not make them micro transactions?
The shadow clones from galaxy, copying you every step of the way, even in multiplayer. They appear in every level you visit, with no way to turn them off, even the menus.
Cake at Stake!
You have to avoid shadow clones of your cursor when making a level
Never Ending Laughter. When you get trapped in a pit with blocks above, you'll have to listen to never ending laughter! It also disables being able to eject the game card, so you'll never escape.
Reject update : I present to you : the space theme, it’s like night sky theme, but if you jump you fly out of the screen and you die.
And if you put the night space theme, you have 30 sec to finish the level or you die of missing oxygen.
Rejected update: every item and enemy is replaced by a ? Block, you can’t tell if it’s real or if it will kill you which keeps the excitement going.
Mario Bros DS kinda did that
New clear condition: The DGR Guarantee! In order to complete the level, you first need to make a promise to your fans that you’ll ‘beat it on this go’ , and then completely screw up! The fans disappointment fuels the goal to appear!
Better yet, you need to beat it first try
We’ve had almost every thwimp, but we haven’t had angry sun thwimp! Basically just the angry sun but it would go above you and crash down on Mario.
Make it so during multi-player when you pause to take a break it also pauses the other players screens so you can take your break without losing any time 👍
And thanks to the feature of removing the ability to exit, start over, or even close mm2 the other players will be forced to wait. :)
Rejected update: A clear condition that requires you to be playing on the new OLED switch model to beat the level
The Tesla: When you’re walking you might see a car driving towards you, you can set the speed of this Tesla to about 10,000. Once it hits Mario, he dies (forever) and can never retry the level!
New Rejected Update: Teh Blu-ray/DVD Player
When you die on an level more than 15 times you are given the Blu-ray item when you press + and then A it will play a recording of how the maker completed the level
Right. Here’s mine.
-Snake Fire Bars. Feels like the logic advancement of the series.
-Light Switch. Turns any level into a Dark level, removing the restriction to Ghost and Water levels. It can even stack with other hazards, like being upside down or strong winds.
-Disguise. For online play, turns you into a physical clone of another character in order to confuse everybody.
-The 0-coin. Looks exactly like a 50-coin, but does literally nothing.
Rejected Update: Waluigi
When you play as Waluigi all you hear is Waluigi saying Wah on full volume, no matter what volume you have your console or TV set to, you can also never turn it off
HEADPHONES WARNING!
This powerup may cause your headphones to damage your ears.

Zombie mode: once an enemy is stomped, it re spawns.
Idea for next rejected update:
Add Classic Mario and Classic Luigi in all styles.
Add all enemies and items in super mario world style.
Add the Super Mario Land 2 Style.
Lunging Skipsqueaks! When Mario jumps, the will lunge at you with speed, going just as far as a springsqueak jumps! So fun! since we have mentioned Springsqueaks, these new skipsqueaks will jump just as high as there spring-legged brothers and sisters. have fun!

pretty soon we're gonna be removing the entire switch just to get the players to not accidentally exit
The auto-warp end flag, which will respawn in a random part of the level any every ten seconds. It's also coated in poison, in case Mario tries to steal the flag.
The microphone power up: it will turn you into a rapper
But if you get too many a random enemy will instantly kill you while saying “your rapping sucks”
You've seen the Sniper Bros. and Sniper Bowser! Well, Bullet Bill is joining the fun! Sniper Bill goes at full speed! There's no way you'll hate it! Good luck!
We know water levels are a bit too fun for everyone, so we’ve added DROWNING! That’s right, now those water levels can be just a little more challenging!

Rejected Update: Furret Powerup! When Mario grabs it, he transforms into Fuario and walks without stopping! And you can't controll him at all, so watch him exploring the world while walking!
Galaxy gravity levels: walk normally until you jump and find yourself falling upwards to the spiked ceilings making sure you pay attention to both the top AND bottom of the level

You used to be able to only add one mushroom to an enemy, so now you can have infinite!!!
We know you could make a thwomp the size of the level, and combine that with no leaving the game, but we know you would never do that.

You can set up dialogue boxes, make people answer random questions, and even make streets to go up and down! Everything around Mario himself is "hot garbage" and the enemies are retextured as Anime characters and internet memes.

Underground: Larry's Cave Hotel (Hotel Mario)
Sky: The Airship (Among Us)

The coins have always been limiting, so now a new coin is going to be introduced:
POISONOUS COINS!
If you touch it as small Mario, you die. If you touch it as big Mario, you’ll lose the power up, then turn into Small Mario if you haven’t been already, then you die.
Rejected update idea: The Among Us power up! When you collect it, you become the impostor, and all the enemies become crewmates! After 30 seconds though, you turn into a bootleg crewmate named AMOGUS and you die as you have become a dead meme. This also subsequently crashes the game and bricks your switch console, and you will not be issued a refund!
The Infinity Gauntlet - new powerup that erases half the items on screen.

Since everyone loves the giant clear condition at the beginning of the level, We made it bigger
I have a rejected update and it is called: Trucks, so they act like a Koopa troopa car but they can carry stuff such as crates, pow blocks, p switches, enemies and more! They can even hurt a player when a player gets run over!
A fire bar that when you get close it creates a circle of fire spreading across the whole level
"Remove all costumes entirely"

"I Am A Teacher: Super Mario no Sweater (Japan exclusive title) mode": In this game style, you get to build a sweater of your own level and send it to Nintendo so they can make that sweater for you.
The Solar System : We have the angry sun and moon. But why not the solar system?
Mercury : Changes the temperature from hot to cold and vise verca
Venus : When Venus attacks you. It gives Mario a kiss. It makes Mario blush so hard he dies. It’s also very hot.
Mars : Makes the level cold. And has a red sandstorm
Jupiter: Makes the gravity very high. Massive storms boom from the sky. And don’t go near the Great Red Spot.
Saturn : Adds a ring around the place the Great White Spot appears sometimes.
Uranus : Fart
Neptune : Makes the place extremely cold. It’s like a night ice world. Killing you in a matter of seconds.
Pluto : Cries because he isn’t a planet anymore. But he cries acid so it’s raining poison. So watch out.

Okay, here’s one: Bullet Bill Blasters can fire ANYTHING. Bowsers, fire bars, blocks, you name it.
We need to implement "Pits of Glory" where the game drops you into a screen transition to another room

*REJECTED FEATURE IDEA:*
Mario will now take fall damage.
New mode: Mega Death endless: You have to die to beat every level!
Idea: Even after removing the home button, people are reporting how they accidentally switch the HDMI! So to fix this, we have added a new feature to the switch overall!
When you put in the game card for Super Mario Maker 2, your switch will recognize the game and completely take over your tv! Even if you pull the cord out, the game will stay on! Now there is truly no way of losing your checkpoint progress!
And then people kept accidentally trying to destroy their device only to realize that it’s unrepairable. Then, they accidentally took their switches to a repair shop. Not even the best engineers were able to fix their device and get them out of this masterpiece of a game.
I made it to where the game still plays even when you take the cartridge out, some other guy on here said you get kidnapped by a Nintendo employee so you can't destroy your switch, but this is great, switches will take over the world
But people keep complaining about dying irl and get rebirthed then buy a switch and smm2 and lose the progress

Spinning Flower: I just makes mario spin so fast he dies.
Here's an idea for Rejected Updates 10: The Boo Brush. It's a tool used in the 3D World theme that lets you paint over terrain, blocks, items, etc, and turn them into decoys that turn into a Boo whenever the player touched them, similar to that one fake flagpole in Shifty Boo Mansion. However, the Boos that come from the Boo Brush can hurt the player, ultimately paving the way for some of the hottest garbage you'd find.
The greatest collaboration we all wanted and needed!

The Crappy Router Powerup: when you get it, it makes everyone in the game lag like crazy!

There is the upside down night mode that everyone loves! So now we're adding a sideways mode! All controls are switched, so up is actually left or right. People will have so much fun getting confused!
Dizzy mode - Gravity changes every 30 seconds
New clear condition: beat the level when the timer is below a certain point
Worse clear condition: beat the level when the timer is *exactly* at a certain point
