I really liked this tour, it was very dynamic, felt almost like a vlog at the beginning, I liked the intro with the info about the area and its history. The funny bits are also well placed and not overwhelming. Well done guys 🎉
Sad when they design a house and forget to design a garden to show it off and help it sit in the landscape. That lawn or mown patch moss is a terrible crime against design. Some simple wild flower blocks would have done the job. Definition, contrast, shape, form, structure ... anything but a sick lawn !!! Also... those flat roofs could have been wildflower or sedum infinities ! So many missed opportunities to make it wOw :(
Great tour. I look up most of the places you go to & learn so much about the UK watching your videos. This is a unique property right up my street but my mrs would probably disagree. The rooftops desperately need something like grass / wild flowers or similar, that would be nice in my opinion.
I like this home and its thoughtful layout especially since the area is prone to flooding. But I have some questions... what is the guarantee or research that any flood in future would stay below the level of the floor? Why the floors produce cracking sounds? if it is in such an area why it is not grid independent with sufficient solar panels plus other alternate sources of power?
This is a PERFECT example that with the RIGHT design, 2500 sq feet in MORE THAN ENOUGH. My house is 2400 sq feet, but it is designed so wonky and such........... Eaaaaaaaaaa
Garden and house look far better floooded to hide the hideous lack of landscaping. Sorry owners but every fab house has a fab landscape or garden. just block plant some textures to mirror the house shapes.
If you lived there full time where do you put your car when it floods? With our climate change I would expect it to flood more often in the future. The owners need to get someone in to dress the house properly as it looks soulless. I for one would not be interested in buying as it is although I would love to have a river at the bottom of my garden.
Saw this house on Grand Designs first and was disappointed with the end result then.. Its basically a bungalow on stilts and for £2.5m!!! Must be paying for location as the bungalow isn't even big
Not even centralised ventilation for such a modern house, i don't get it. The way it's done is creating thermal bridges and condensation if the fan is off. Absolute nonsense.
Sorry guys, but no way is that house worth 2.5mill, the interior seems bland and even seems cheap, and the layout is awfully, also if the roof cannot be used for a deck then I should be covered solar panels to give an alternative power source, however they need to be grounded so having them in flood areas isn't possible, also, I wonder if having the home raised helps with the insurance other wise the premiums would be huge. Otherwise it was a great presentation and watching you guys trying to polish this turd was hugely entertaining, (loverly willows, nice soft chairs) glad to.see you back in the 🇬🇧

Glad you enjoyed it!
Same that was nice, w the lil history so you know the area alittle but if you ever moved or visited there
Love this! Saw a tiktok of that other John Pardey house when it was foggy and flooded and it honestly looked magical.

Really
@Surkon_Estate maybe a shallow dark reflection pool under it so it always looked in flood. That yard had zero thought.
Actually, the property used to have a really nice lawn, but since the flooding happened they kind of neglected it

Nice property. Tom was right about the interiors, a good interior designer could transform it.
Lovely and very funny tour. ❤
love the creativity that you put in these tours guys, never fail to put a smile on my face😂
Flooding , no go
Nice, that's the house that was in Black Mirror, on Netflix!

Hey! I love Henley-on-Thames! Pre children i use to go there for Swing Dancing festivals. ❤
Wow! This is a very nice area! And a very un-English house design. More Cali, Florida or Auss than Blighty. Nice though.
What a beautiful house!
Beautiful property, I would love it 😍
I just knew it as soon as i saw it. i yelled "that's the Black Mirror house". Had to google it just to make sure i wasnt crazy.
What episode it seems familiar
@@henrychambers2365 3 i believe, season 1
@@henrychambers2365 s1e1
Relative to many of the properties you show, this one actually seems worth the price. Now, if only the ceilings were a foot taller!
Hi I'm Yusaku new subscriber! Love the show!
Welcome!! 😃
Such a lovely place and a beautyful home
Wish you guys would still do the Omaze houses. Miss you doing those. Great video both of you, as always
I think this house was on Grand Designs some years back…
Yes you are correct
Yaaaayyyyyy bloopers 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Elegantly dressed home. Just the floods is a no brainer
THIS ONE is my house------FOR SURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This channel is top notch
The house has "When A Stranger Calls" vibes. 😬
2.5m for a large shed.
Solar panels on the extensive roof seems like a good option. Easy to maintain, too. I like the property but wonder where to put my car if it floods.
Property needs solar panels as you say, and maybe a pneumatic car lift for flood emergencies to raise it a few feet.
Great house would definitely benefit from having some large plants to bring life to it
great vid
where is garage

Lovely house. Just remember to plant your willows miles away from your home as they are very destructive.
Tom inception at 7:33
This house is where they filmed Black Mirror Season 6 in one of their episodes
7:32 😂
Hard not to like this house. My Great Danes would love running around this place.
It in this has potential, however also shows if you have money you don’t necessarily have taste. That main bedroom was not good!
My house is nicer. Why? Because I’m in it and I’m an absolute delight 🥰

Berkshire pronounced like ‘barkshire’ pls 😅
Depends where you're from
Like an office block, not a home.
Seems dark not sure why with the amount of glass

Looks like a house in an episode of black mirror.
exactly what i’ve been thinking after rewatching that black mirror episode this is indeed the same house they filmed in
should cost a little less as whoever move in will have to spend few grands to make it look like home
other than that it looks pretty good
Yes, I thought the finishing all looks rather tatty, cheap air conditioning units.
It's plain and characterless.

“Berk-sheer” 😬😬😬
outed himself there
House with no soul
Why not floating?
Good lawd. Someone was gullible enough to pay for that property that is prone to flooding.
