You hold the chuck too low in your hand. You would have quicker, more controled strikes with a better controlled rebound if your grip was higher. Ive been doing chucks since i was 7 and im now 41. Dont feel bad though. I was probably 5-6 years in when somebody told me that. Being told different or self-investigation are the only ways to learn.
I’m 55 so I have you by a few years :). How am I out of control? I have half the people tell me to hold them high half tell me to hold them low. I get lots of people tell me how I suck who have never used nunchucks. There is nearly no one on Yourube who actually hits things with real nunchucks. People do spins, use toy nunchucks, speed up the video, etc. do a video and show me how it’s done. I do this for fun and exercise. Always learning new things. Plus I hold the chucks different places. I’m sure this is the only video you watched but I practice different hand positions, different strikes and different angles.
You have no idea what your at ...those are movie nun chucks...Real nun chucks are held together with string and the batons are at most only 1 inch apart
