    They'd sell anything, as facts.

    • @AegisHelm
      @AegisHelm 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      farming does pollute it and we can't help it. organic farm? they produce less and are very delicate. growing in labs is efficient for a very long term. comparison is like buying a 0.01Rs food which has pollutes 1% environment every year, and lab which produces food worth 1Rs but will pollute evnvironment for next 50 yrs by 90%. both are subjected to risk, but rewards are worth it.
      'either die every day or die once' something like that.

    This news anchor is always concerned about novel issues related to health, climate, globalisation, politics. I admire her approach towards looking at the news from a different perspective. She has a wider concern to a problem rather than publicizing it , she addresses it in a manner in which it should be presented.

    • @KRYPTOS_K5
      @KRYPTOS_K5 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent question. Note: soylent green... not solvent.
      I don't know the exact answer to your question but certainly it would be more or less the same energetic profile. However there would be a profound change in the food chain supply. Instead of energy coming in from the green plants it would come to the food from solar panels. Solar panels are 20-26% effective and the green vegetable is 34% effective. Probably the final storage capacity considering efficacy of all the cycle including the inevitable energetic wasting is about the same. The advantage of artificial food clearly is to avoid the climate change impact on the agriculture. It is important to say however that the Edward Wilson Limit of 10 billion people threshold of sustainability (relying on crops from modern scientific agriculture) remains the same. BRAZIL

      It's not Western nations that were/are doing the over populating. The only overpopulation issues we have in the West are caused by illegal immigration and ludicrous levels of legal immigration year after year, decade after decade. In fact the West has been struggling to maintain replacement rate for some time. To scare us into accepting such high levels of immigration, we're told that if we don't keep growing our populations (via immigration) there will be no one to pay our pensions or provide essential services as the current generations grow older, yet it is obvious that this is just another snake eating its tail con job.
      Perhaps if our governments had set aside future funds and managed and allocated finances appropriately, this wouldn't be an issue? Governments are quick to find billions upon billions of dollars for proxy wars, but cry poor when it comes to caring for our elderly.
      No government that I am aware of ever talks publicly about what an ideal population size is. One that is sustainable across a wide range of factors....including the happiness of its citizens. It's also odd how in earlier times our nations functioned extremely well with populations a fraction of the size we have today and immigration growth was much slower. I'm not against immigration per se, but unsustainable levels are of concern.
      We're just a snake eating its tail over and over and getting fatter and fatter until its skin can no longer hold its bloated flesh. The larger the growth, the more the problem is kicked down the road. It's also strange that contraception appears to have been such a huge failure, especially in the developing nations. Yes, it's a complex issue that covers religious and cultural beliefs etc.. but if we in the West have to sit by and watch our own cultural and religious heritage and beliefs being eradicated "for our own good" then it's only reasonable to expect developing nations to do the same.
      Perhaps the West wouldn't need so many immigrants if we didn't abort millions of babies every year! The fact that we have such high abortion rates is also indicative that contraception has also been a failure in the West.

Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
    Luke12-4 “I tell you, my friends, ado not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him bwho, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell.1 Yes, I tell you, fear him! 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?2 And cnot one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Why, deven the hairs of your head are all numbered. Birds forage for food - we humans used to do the same too (and many native tribes do so till this day), but we figured out better ways to feed ourselves through the mastery of toolmaking, agriculture and breeding. You can still go forage, though, if you feel like it, but you're likely to starve a lot. "God" has nothing to do with anything here, though I will add that the idea of lab food isn't appetizing to me either way.

    How much of lab food is consumed by the rich and elite (income > $10,000,000)?

That is the definition of a human being. That is what we are. The further north we lived, the more of our food was obtained from animals. Eskimos in Alaska for example consumed large amounts of salmon, fish egg, seal oil, caribou meat and limited vegetable foods. All were in perfect health on their native non-veg diets. Your opinion doesn't actually matter, since the evidence from all over the world already proves that human health deteriorates when animal foods are removed from the diet. Agriculture was the biggest mistake humans ever made. It led to overpopulation, poor nutrition, private property, income inequality, and war. Hunter-gatherers were better fed, taller, and spent only 14 hours a week seeking food while we work 40 hours a week or so.

    It already exists, and the big countries are cutting out small farmers.

    I believe that this is definitely going to have some capability of controlling the population birth rate.

    I came from a farmer family. My father and brother are farmers. I seen their hardworks but in a harvest time, they don't earn. They even ended up losing their money. I seen the main cause is lack of water for their farm. Too much heat, less water. I don't know what the world can offer to them the next few years. I kept telling them, just leave the farm and rest. They even don't rest just to monitor their farm.😔

    Excellent presentation of the issue, I must say that this new anchor continues to amaze me, her approach towards the day-to-day aspects of life is admirable.
    But, I choose to disagree with this one article,
    1.With the rise of home-grown food culture and self-sustainability, many people across the globe are shifting to growing the commonly used food items such as spices, vegetables and other stuff in their own homes.
    2.I know many people will probably disagree with me here but, eating meat is not a moral concern, it is a part of food chain and the evolutionary process needs to be respected.
    3.What we need to do is, stop wasting food, this simple step could provide food for about 30-40 percent of the population whose hunger-needs are not being satisfied.
    4.I agree when people say meat has a large contribution to the carbon-print, but limiting the meat intake and evolving the production methods are the solutions for this issue instead of banning meat altogether.
