Hola, Cartess I got a 1 year visa and passport. I just got back home (Colorado, USA) from vacation for a week in Puerto Juarez, Quintana Roo, Mexico (Jan 9th - Jan 16th). I rented an AirBnB condo on the 6th floor with a private beach facing the Caribbean Sea. I was also able to visit Isla Mujeres and Centro Cancun. The prices for food, drinks and souvenirs was similar to the USA; some places more expensive than the USA. The weather was extremely hot and humid between 10am - 6pm. Otherwise, the weather was "Perfecto". Fun in the sun. I experienced "Gringo Pricing" but then I was able to negotiate the price by speaking "Poquito Espanol". I will be visiting Mexico again but it will be in locations with much cooler temperatures. Keep up the good work informing viewers about living and visiting Mexico. Buenas Noches
Hola amigo!! I currently live in Puerto Vallarta…I’ve been here for two years and rollerblading is impossible here so I am going to be checking Merida next month. I used to live in Cozumel before I moved to PV so I love the Yucatán! I’m excited to come back the Yucatán!! Is there amazing live music in Merida?
I 🙏🏼you find something that is a good fit. Merida is a beautiful area with lovely people. Really research transportation, as some areas are not as easy to get Ubers. Also, power outages are real, especially in “up and coming areas.” If it is possible, find a nice Airbnb to be a base so you can thoroughly checkout places (day and night). Ask plenty of question of people actually living in the area you are considering.
Hola, this is a tropical location. Maybe google Bugs of Merida. We got plenty of em. I keep telling myself that they were here first. I have been here for nearly 3 years and being from the Bronx it has definitely has been an adjustment. I still jump every time I see a gecko. I try to not look up at the ceilings in my place once the sun sets.

Can you recommend a rental realtor in Merida that works well with expats?
Amazing video. Cartess. Wow. Doing scouting in June.😀 Will contact you.
Sounds good!
Maybe good or better deals just by looking around in your neighborhood of choice for "Se renta" signs?
True.
Great info. Thxs Cartess 🙏🏽
My pleasure!
I need to be there right now, that would be perfect for me. I hope I can find something similar, I just don't want to go to far out.

Me too, lol
Wow, that's a great deal!
🙂🙂🙂
Especially since all the U.S. news outlets keep running all these articles, foreigners gonna keep coming. So prices going to keep rising.
🙂🙂🙂
Great video...hey brother can i just stay with youall....lol
But being that far out wont you need a car?
Yup
Yes. In many of those areas a car would be necessary. However, most of the locals who live there don't have cars. So it's definitely doable without.
No pets though
🙂🙂🙂
Outside of the historical colonial areas in central Merida the secret to living in Merida is living outside of Merida. 😆
That indeed is the secret :)
