Hi, is it possible to create email sequences within each automation item that you create? If I have a stack of 50+ pre-written newsletter emails it would be a huge pain in the ass to add each 1 in manually to the timeline map not to mention creating a huge map that increases in size overtime.

Hey, you're right-manually adding 50+ emails would be tedious. In Mautic, you can't directly add a full email sequence in one go, but you can create individual email actions and link them together with decision points or delays. While it may still result in a large workflow map, this approach can help automate the sequence effectively. Hope that helps a bit.

Great video! Is there a way to send follow-up email in the same thread?

Sorry, I haven't used Mautic since 2020 so I'm not up-to-date on the current software. Good luck!

Hey man! Found a thread on their forums back in 2017 all complaining about inaccurate page hit recording and tracking... You use Mautic enough daily to say whether these bugs appear to be squashed or not now?

    • @WesGPT
      @WesGPT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey @rocketmarketing - It's tough to notice inaccurate reporting for email subscribers other than yourself. I know that during my internal testing, it seemed to register correctly. I also used some link trackers in emails (like bitly) and found that the numbers lined up there as well.
However, I had noticed some other bugs with Mautic not related to reporting (like in the email campaign builder for example) - but with a $0 price tag, I think I can take those bugs and live with them. Just note that the Mautic updates seem to come less frequently now.

Pretty helpful video! I followed all your steps but I seem to face an issue in sending the emails, I got notifications that it's failing to execute the campaign. Do you have any idea why this might be happening?

Sorry to hear your facing issues with Mautic! Are you using another hosting provider other than Bluehost?

Is there a way to create a "wait" action where you want to it to wait x-minutes or x-hours or x-days and then you run an action to add or remove a tag. Or is the delay on an action only on emails? if it's on emails only then this is what limits mautic.

Hey Tony - Yes, it's possible (I think I know what you're trying to say). Can you take a look at the PROMOTIONAL CALENDAR video to see if this is what you want? It involves modifying the contact's tag when a certain time has passed. In this video, I do it every 365 days on their birthday. Video is here: th-cam.com/video/3NBHMtqWt7w/w-d-xo.html

Hi Wes. I purchased your Udemy course and set everything up as instructed, but emails are not triggering via the automated campaign. Contacts appear in the campaign but no emails are showing scheduled. Thanks for you help.

Hi there! Sorry to hear you're encountering issues with your Mautic automated campaigns. Let's troubleshoot step by step:
      Cron Jobs:
Ensure your Cron jobs are correctly set up. These are vital for Mautic to execute tasks like sending emails. Double-check against the course instructions and Mautic's official documentation.
The main cron jobs related to campaigns are:
      mautic:campaigns:rebuild
      mautic:campaigns:trigger
If you're using shared hosting, ensure the cron jobs are not limited by any restrictions.
      Email Configuration:
Make sure you've properly set up the email configuration in Mautic.
Ensure you're using a reliable SMTP service (like SendGrid, Amazon SES, or Mailgun) and that all settings (SMTP server, port, credentials) are correct.
Check for any errors related to email sending in the Mautic logs (Settings > System Info > Log).
      Campaign Builder:
Double-check your campaign builder to ensure there's no break in the workflow.
Make sure the action to send emails is correctly linked to the previous node (like a segment or form submission).
      Email Status:
Check if the email itself is published (Channels > Emails).
Also, check the "Published" dates. If the "Start Publishing" date is in the future, the email won't send until that date.
      Contact Segment:
Confirm that the contacts in the campaign are part of the appropriate segment.
Make sure there's no filter or condition inadvertently excluding contacts from receiving the emails.
      Server & Hosting:
Some shared hosting providers might have restrictions on sending emails. Verify with your hosting provider if there are any limitations or blocks in place.
Also, ensure that your server's timezone matches Mautic's timezone settings. A mismatch could cause delays.
      Mautic Logs & Server Logs:
Check Mautic's error logs for any related messages.
Additionally, consult your server's error logs. If Mautic is trying to send the email but is getting blocked, there might be an entry here.
      Test Email:
Attempt to send a test email from the Mautic configuration settings to see if basic email sending is functional.
      API & Plugins:
If you've integrated Mautic with other tools or platforms, ensure there's no interference or misconfiguration that might be causing the issue.
      Mautic Version:
Ensure you're using a stable version of Mautic. Sometimes, beta or very new releases can have bugs. You might also want to consult the Mautic community or forums for any known issues with your particular version.
