The jewels she gave Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records were the albums that went gold, platinum, and diamond. Her stolen lullabies of course her songs that got sold.
In case nobody mentioned it yet, she wrote this song to Scott borcheta, when he sold her music catalog to scooter Braun; and she started the re-records. The jewels he wore to bury her are her songs and albums, her stolen lullabies. She’s always referred to her songs as jewels and her albums as children 🫶🏼
The quiet intensity of this performance blows me away every time. It’s a great example of how Taylor really relives the emotions that inspired a song as she sings it. She’s an incredible songwriter and performer.
Aaron Dessner is the guy on the guitar. Aaron and Jack are the main two producers she has worked with on her past several albums. Aaron is also in a band called The National, and Jack is the lead singer of the band, The Bleachers! 😁
Thank you for watching the explanation first. Well done. Long Pond Studio Sessions are so fascinating for getting into her mind and seeing the raw emotion of these songs. Great job
The sad long pond version just makes me cry but the eras tour angry version makes me sneer along as i scream the lyrics with her. Top tier song. Incredible poetry. Suck it, Scott and Scooter.
I have never seen you two so deadly serious throughout a video! This is certainly one of her most raw songs, and it really does seem like she relives her experiences sometimes. There was a performance way back of Back to December in Michigan where she changed one of the lyrics at the end to "so this is for the boy from Michigan" referring to Taylor Lautner who the song is about, and it looked like she had tears in her eyes for some of the rest of the performance. I do think My Tears Ricochet is easily in her top 5 most well written songs. A lot of it comes down to "everything that happens to me happens to you too", and metaphors for what Scott Borchetta did to her (sorry, but FUCK that guy), in brilliantly worded lyrics.
This is one of my favorite reactions of yours. It reminds me of how I felt the first time I heard it. Her lyrics are deeply personal to her, yet she taps into something so universal & relatable in all of us, that we can't help but feel whatever emotion that she's trying to convey through her music. Its truly beautiful.❤
Every time I see this performance from the Long Pond studio, just hearing her sing it brings me to tears. The way it starts off giving this sad and somber feel to it. The pacing of the song along with her sweet, delicate voice that you can hear a tinge of pain in her vocals and then to hear her end it with a sigh like an emotional weight just came off of her... goodness gracious. It's heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. Lots of people are missing out on this great artist, honestly. Like you said, no ones doing it like Taylor. One of a kind, truly ❤.
Great reation on this song. I doubt if Scott Borchetta even cares how much he hurt her by selling his Record Company Big Machine to Scooter Braun along with the masters and rights of Taylors 6 Albums behind her back. This song to him will make sure he never forgets. Stay safe❤
The other guy is Aaron Dressner. He is an absolutely amazing musician. He plays so many instruments and I believe the Long Pond Studios are his and close to his home. Fun fact, he wrote the music for the movie Cyrano which was beautiful.
I appreciate that you guys know the events that this song is about. 👍 Knowing that this is about Scott Borschetta and knowing the details about how he took a chance on her, how she took a chance on his new label, how she had to prove herself and assert herself over and over, including proving she's an excellent brand manager -- all of this gives "My Tears Ricochet" so much more impact. This knowledge makes the lyrics' metaphors fit together perfectly. Taylor Swift was born to be a songwriter, singer, and performer.
Please do the Grammys Mean performance. You’ve reacted to the song before but that performance is so epic. My Tears Ricochet is about Scott Borchetta and Big Machine Records who discovered her. Her stolen lullabies are the masters he sold to Scooter Braun.
Hey guys! You should react to I knew you were trouble (1989 world tour version) also I recommend you the one from Victoria’s Secret in 2013. I lover your channel ☺️ Greetings!
You saw the Monologue song but, so far as I can tell, you have not seen Seth Meyers talking about her preparation for it. Seth Meyers Gives Props to Taylor Swift for Writing Her “SNL” Monologue th-cam.com/video/Qe0Rre35xpI/w-d-xo.html
Another song based on this same subject is "vigilante shit", same guy wasnt a good husband either so Taylor helped her get enough evidence to ask for a divorce & thats what "VS" is about
Scooter Braun can suck every day and Hollywood and never level up to the amount of Taylor Swift that he should and an apology to this queen for attempting to ruining her life and she will definitely be ruining yours and your own reputation. I bet you were regretting every second because you should be because she’s coming for you dude!

Thanks I was wondering who this was about 😂
@@rayes7331 yes that's why she had to re-record her albums.
Her pen game is legendary 10/10

Taylor is a deep well of deep songs.
THANK YOU!!! Soooooo many reactors just jump in and are basically clueless about Taylor and her music! You guys spend the time and it shows!❤❤❤
We are still learning so much. It is a wonderful journey. She’s an amazing person. So enjoyable to watch. Thank you for commenting and watching 😎😎
That “and I can go anywhere I want, anywhere I want, just not home.” Cuts me so deep every single time.

Her mind is spectacular. It’s amazing the way it works 😎😎
The sad long pond version just makes me cry but the eras tour angry version makes me sneer along as i scream the lyrics with her. Top tier song. Incredible poetry. Suck it, Scott and Scooter.
This song made me cry. Anyone who has been betrayed can empathize with her... All the emotion she shows and vocalized in this track broke me.
How can anyone not see her extreme talent?

but i think that Scott does miss Taylor in his bones, to quote The Queen! He is just toooo far gone. Soooo His Loss!!!!

at 7:11 you can see the pain/anger in her face as she sings, "just not home"... her home was her record label.
My favorite reactors thank you 🙏
Great song ❤
