Brands have reputation which makes you buy without fear of being scammed!!! That's why if you create same material like a known brand the value is not the same because you've not yet established a reputation.
To think I started following you when I was 19. You helped me develop my style through college 😂 and here we are at 28 still watching! Thank you for also including some brands known for their jackets because it's getting cold here in Wisconsin 😂
I like Hugo Boss and own several pieces, but find them to be more hit or miss lately. I think their older styles from 10-20 years ago generally look better.
Thanks for mentioning our Aussie brands Antonio! RM is good stuff but overpriced , especially the boots! They are great but not worth $600 bucks! I have suits by Anthony Squires , all my Polos are Rod and Gunn and I have some great M.J. Bale Sports jacket and knitwear. Politix is too young for me but they have some good stuff. Australia led the fashion scene back in the 70's and 80's as our wool was the best in the world....all of my suits and sports jackets have Aussie Merino wool as the main or blended fabric. Cheers Gregg.
As an Aussie, I always say that the northern hemisphere is in the opposite season e.g. summer winter and spring autumn/fall. It works well with end of season sales as your end of summer/winter sales are only three months before that season hits here!
lol affordable old money to who? I’m a blue collar guy . Retired marine currently a delivery driver for a garbage company. I’m on a Walmart/ second hand store budget. You should have said this stuff is affordable for upper middle class people and not poor people brother.
I love my RM Craftsman boots. Have a chestnut pair with leather soles, been re-soled 3 times and going on 8 years old. My black pair have rubber soles and are also 8 years old with no sign of sole replacement any time soon. In terms of cost per wear they have paid themselves off years ago. It’s great to see you cover an Australian icon on here. As always, love your work.
As a Canadian who has been shopping at Club Monaco since the 90’s. I have never heard it pronounced the way you did in the video. It is named after the French Country of Monaco.
WAIT! , Hugo Boss is NOT an affordable brand. Seriously man, haven't you noticed the prices of the suits which cost $700 - $900? Hugo Boss is a "luxury brand" that targets a "niche customer base". Its products are characterized by high quality, unique designs, and a sense of exclusivity. Hence, It should not be in this list .
The video isn't just about affordable brands. It's about affordable "old money" brands. Compared to other old money brands HB is on the affordable side.
Best work boots I've ever owned! I'm on my third pair right now and I'm averaging about 2 years per pair. I got a yearly work boot allowance, because work boots go through the ringer and they're usually replaced every year. However, blunddstones are made so well that you don't need to replace them that often.
so u included every brand, but you missed India, last time you unknowingly added Raymond in your thumbnail and when people complaint you deleted the thumbnail... at least you could have added it in this video... seriously disappointed
Pendleton’s are dope if you can score A GOOD DEAL. If you live in the cooler areas the board shirts and over coats are a rare find to have. Same as Filson coats and shirts for a more of a traditiona hnunting and cold outdoors brand.
🇦🇺 Great to hear some of our quality garment brands mentioned by you there Antonio. I’m born and raised in Australia and now in my 50s can still vouch for my R.M. Williams moleskin jeans that I’ve now had for nearly 30 years and although they don’t get the wear they used to, they’re still in wonderful condition. Of course the moleskin garments by R.M. Williams are a nod to our authentic roots in the outback here and have been worn by stockmen for many decades thanks to not only their durability but warmth and comfort due to the brushed cotton interiors. Can’t kill them 👍
We missed some spanish brands, Antonio. Have a look to the designers Balenciaga, Adolfo Dominguez, Victorio & Lucchino, Scotta, Scalpers and many others...
Some good ideas here, but I would caution against buying anything from brands owned by the brand management companies like Iconix, PVH (Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein), or Authentic Brands (Brooks Brothers, HSM). They are just VC firms riding on the names they've purchased. Stick with real heritage brands that are still individually owned like LL Bean, Pendleton, Banana Republic (The Gap), etc.
Antonio's comments on Land's End was perfect. I'm shocked at how good and quality their stuff is. But it's always built a little bit baggy - never a slim fit or athletic fit...but still great. Another company that fits here too on the same level - to an extent - is LL Bean
Johnston & Murphy is losing a lot of their heritage. They're becoming far too sporty and their identity is up in the air. If you look closely at pieces from all parts of their clothing lines to shoes you can see areas where corners are being cut... Coming from someone who knows that brand sincerely well... it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I’ve had one of their backpacks for a couple years now, and I really love it. Great quality leather and well made… not familiar with the rest of it though
Wow Antonio, fantastic video. I am an Aussie and was unaware of these brands (except R M Williams of course), yeah probably living under a rock lol 😂. Thanks for waking me up to them. Also with our Kiwi cousins Rod And Gun those clothes look fantastic and shipping to Australia would be easy.
Hey Captain, I've been buying Lands End since the 1980s and some of my shirts and socks have lasted 20-plus years. I think their Oxford shirts are their best product. Semper Fi Marine.
Another brand you should check out if you live in Europe, is Oscar Jacobson. Even though - as a norwegian - it pains me to endorse the swedes haha, I must say Oscar Jacobson has quickly become one of my favourite brands of all. Definitely worth a visit!
G-Shocks have certainly established themselves well: they're common enough that you can pick them up on REI. But I have a good I history (so far) with Timex, so I opted for an Expedition Field Watch. Frankly, I was just more comfortable with a North Ridge analog watch with no frills.
I too enjoy the Timex Expedition watches. The battery in them is the nickel size one (I forget the number of hand), but they last for years and are easy to change if you need to.
@@shotglas2584 It’s my first time with one, but it’s mostly going quite well. About the biggest problem is that the face could be a few millimeters wider, with my 48-year-old eyes.
How come you skipped over Issey miyaki and youji Yamamoto? Steve Job’s fav turtleneck is Issey and Youji is known for their trench coat as well. Feel somewhat like fended that you think 5e height of Japanese men fashion is Muji. At least mention other iconic Japanese brand.
I used to wear Casio G- Shock watches back in the late 1980s. I was an aircraft mechanic in the USAF. Most watches wouldn't take the beating of being slammed into an aircraft.
G- Shock (especially their early reissues) are phenomenal. I have top tier watches and they are nice a day here and there but as an active guy the G-Shock is my sidearm rock. I'd sell the rest in a heart beat before parting from them.👍
Just discovered your channel and I love it! Funny thing is, I saw a girl on the subway last week wearing a New York Demerier midi and I totally fell in love with her. I want to buy a *amzclothes* .This will be my little birthday present. Thanks for your channel.
No matter if it's the amzclothesor any other, my steadfast belief stands that only practitioners can perceive dissimilarities in the sack looks or the metal constituents
in South Korea, i stumbled upon a brand called Beanpole. Gives me a very Club Monaco, J.Crew, Banana Republic, type vibe. I don't have them anymore, but i remember buying a few of their polos whenever i visited South Korea.
Antonio absolutely superb research is spot on mate 😉 yes we do have top notch brands in Australia 🦘 🌏 & New Zealand collection brands i personally haven't purchased any of them but knew plenty of kiwis & maroi' when i was working in the mines over interstate in western Australia, my personal choice is Australia, American & Europe 🌍 mix & match my own unique style of brands that makes me more say confident & multicultural in taste of exotic clothing , its bit like exotic foods & a high quality imported whisky & lager its trial & error until you actually find the acquired taste then you stick with it , a man has to enjoy a physical & mental challenge 1st i sincerely believe ! thats my postive opinion on anything in life ! i thank you your time & appreciation Antonio for wonderful video content on mens brands & country's around the world 🌍🌏 take care & be safe ! God bless 🙏 you & all your beautiful family ! ❤ From Geoff in Australia 🦘on the other side of the Globe 👍🌏 👍my friend !
Agree, thanks for the video and especially shoutout to the brands down under. Another one I’ve recently been checking out is Calibre (no relationship just a fan of their gear). 🫡 from Sydney
Buddy I love your videos and I hate doing this, But you have to check the way you pronounce certain words. Example Gingham is not Gin as in the liquor. It’s Geengham. Chambray is not Ch it’s Kambray. Finally, Monaco it’s not Mo-na’-co it’s Mo’- na-co. Sorry I sound like an ass but it detracts from super content.
Not much info for the First item in this list. As an Australian that wears RMs and got my American mates wearing them. You need to show more info on them
This is affordable clothes!? I'm doing something wrong. I think affordable to most people is like 50 bucks for one of those sports jacket things, 700 is wild. Hoodies are better and more practice and they're under 100
This is Controversial I'm from Bangladesh Most of the brands that are mentioned here have production facilities in our country You could get them incredibly cheap! If you don't want to spend half your weekly paycheck on brands Just under $1000 you could literally buy a year's worth of clothing (incl plane tickets) If you buy this way not only, will you be actually supporting people who makes these clothes and other small businesses but you will also be depriving the corporations off their profit margins.
Good video, loved to see some brands that I wasn’t aware. However shoe wise I wouldn’t mention J&M and Hugo Boss….., really poor quality of shoes! Only if J&M can make them in the USA like they did with crown Imperials
Dude-I have 10 seats in my closet. I never wear. Nobody goes to the office anymore and we don’t need dressy clothes anymore. Thank you so much for this video. In Italy I love Trussardi very much, they are quite old, very stylish and affordable. Would you introduce Trussardi to the world, please? I used to buy their products online but they closed the online shopping in north America😢
My go to for shoes is Allen Edmonds. My feet are a 12 length, A-width, and a 13 arch so just about anything is going to feel sloppy or uncomforable. I've always been able to find shoes that look great and fit well. I've had a few pairs for over 25 years and just get them recrafted to keep them looking sharp.
Here in Poland I can't afford even one of these brands with my salary... Changing job won't make much difference - still they are very expensive for common people
You nailed again, Antonio! This, together with the more historic ones, is your best content, where you work really shines. We always learn something. Bravo! 👏🏽🎩
RM Williams boots are immortal. I have 3 pairs, two are 16 years old and still very respectable. Replaced soles on one and elastic on the other. Fabrics may come from Europe but the best suits in the world nearly always use pure Australian Merino wool, Zegna for example.
If you’re looking for good sheepskin and shearling, I have two jackets from Overland sheepskin company. Yes it was expensive, and it took me a long time to talk myself into buying it, but the quality and warmth is top notch.
McGregor, New York. Has some emotional value for me due to memories. Overall- qualitative, affordable brand. When I wear it in my country some people think it has to do with Conor McGregor😃 I remember one person asking of me: Are you a fan of him? Which I am not by the way. Quite the opposite
Hackett (shirts), Charles Tyrwhitt (knitwear), Gutteridge (coats and affordable clothing), Denis Shoes. Denis is a romanian brand, a family run business making hand made shoes at an affordable price. Their top line is amazing. Think of full leather, leather lining, leather soles at a price that you will not find too often.
"not gonna worry about getting a G Shock stolen", tell that to 1999, 12 year old me! just arrived on my first international trip, to the USA, and got that shit stolen. I also find it funny that the F91W is so retro, I had one or two in the 90.'s. Who knows what happened to it
I have golden jewelry. That are presents from my mother and grandmother. Thanks to your advices I found a golden watch witch says im gold I'm not cheap but not expensive I'm not off but present and keep my self hidden. Not to big but for a man timeless. Not every Funktion but here is the date. Simple estetik right proportion. Normal numbers. The colors komplett each other. You can wear me with dessier golden steel stap or with a middle brown leather strap. What I want to say is that I really learned to like analog Casio retro or vintage watches.
I have a nice pair of rodd and gun military boots very comfortable and great price. You can definitely find quality pieces from any brand however, you just need to refine your definition of quality and you will be okay shopping around.
Ralph was a tie salesman for Brooks Brothers and copied their signature Polo shirt! Brooks won in court. A lot of Ralph and Tommy tend to punch up on their colors and not so much expressing that quiet confidence of $, old $ that is.
Funny coincidence. The Pini Parma fall collection ad has been popping up in my youtube selections. I'm pretty sure it's the first time I didn't want to skip an ad. I'm actually trying to save it to my playlist. The coats are beyond amazing.
Factor 75 is legit. I eat keto which is a pain in the rear so Factor 75 has saved me so much time and headache. Great choice of a sponsorship. Something that will actually help people save time, money, and be healthier
I've purchased from the Muji store in Chadstone, Australia. Purchased a wool turtleneck sweater and took very good care of it but the sweater did last long. It actually tore around the stitching of the label on the inside neck. Was very disappointing

You forgot about Club Monaco, owned by Ralph Lauren.
J&M, Brooks brothers, Ralph and Tommy have caught my eye and been my go to’s since I was a teen.
Thanks for your videos and insight
Danke
“Old Money” is interested in quality, not brands.
Yes you got that right
True… but I’d still like to know where to go looking for quality.
Old money quality always has a Brand, they go hand in hand.
And these luxury brands like Gucci and what not honestly don’t provide quality often times it’s just a name that makes them money
Brands have reputation which makes you buy without fear of being scammed!!! That's why if you create same material like a known brand the value is not the same because you've not yet established a reputation.

I remember Pendleton .
Brooks Brothers was established in 1818 not 1967! It's the oldest apparel brand in continuous operation in the United States.
I like Hugo Boss and own several pieces, but find them to be more hit or miss lately. I think their older styles from 10-20 years ago generally look better.
Yeah they are being more casual nowadays which can be annoying.

Nice work Mate…. Australia crushing it in the fashion world…. Beers also Really good 😂😂😂😂😂
Hugo Boss all day!!! 🇩🇪

Buck Mason. By no means “old money” at 10 years in business but they have that old school gentleman feel to them.

There is a UK brand known as Real Hoxton they make good clothes with high quality at an affordable price.
I haven’t heard of many of these brands. I’ll have to check them out.

Whats up Antonio. Great meeting you at VidSummit. And Hugo Boss is my go to for a clean, chic look
I have a nice pair of rodd and gun military boots very comfortable and great price.
You can definitely find quality pieces from any brand however, you just need to refine your definition of quality and you will be okay shopping around.
It never really made sense to me how luxury brands were so unknown. Probably explains the audience that they’ve speaking to.
M.J Bale definitely a great recommendation 👏👏👏
Awesome!
Yeap. My suits & blazer mainly from them. Better pricing than suitsupply d/to their outlet stores. 😅
Pini Parma is amazing. It's as good or better than brands that cost 3-5x like Isaia, Brunello, etc.
Ralph was a tie salesman for Brooks Brothers and copied their signature Polo shirt! Brooks won in court.
A lot of Ralph and Tommy tend to punch up on their colors and not so much expressing that quiet confidence of $, old $ that is.
from Portugal, Sacoor Brothers
Funny coincidence. The Pini Parma fall collection ad has been popping up in my youtube selections. I'm pretty sure it's the first time I didn't want to skip an ad. I'm actually trying to save it to my playlist. The coats are beyond amazing.
Gant and McGregor are pretty oké too, especially when discounted (which is most of the time). 👍
Factor 75 is legit. I eat keto which is a pain in the rear so Factor 75 has saved me so much time and headache. Great choice of a sponsorship. Something that will actually help people save time, money, and be healthier
What are your thoughts about the brand Mustang? I personally very like this brand but I’m interested about what you think about it.
Please review Raymond's. It's a suit brand from India. They do ready to wear as well as made to measure and bespoke.
Great video, will research, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Land’s has very high quality stuff! I have a pair of shoes for 20+ years that have outlasted 10 other shoes!
Massimo Dutti from Zara’s Group!!
you may also check, Sacoor Brothers, Boris Becker, Boggi Milano, Strellson, Eton
Even though im unemployed at the moment, I always try to dress like a five star man cheers!
MJ Bale is my go to here in Australia. I love the suits and Coats especially. MJ Bale send a lot of wool and cotton to Italy to be turned into fabric.
I've purchased from the Muji store in Chadstone, Australia. Purchased a wool turtleneck sweater and took very good care of it but the sweater did last long. It actually tore around the stitching of the label on the inside neck. Was very disappointing
Casio watches are... timeless. 🤣
I use a Casio F91W with my suit. It is one of my most used watches, infact i think i have three
