Watching this as a Darwin local… yeah you haven’t convinced me I’ve missed out by avoiding Crocosaurus in the city😂. There’s heaps of free things to take the kids - the difference between free and paid entry is City Council funded (Leanyer and Palmerston water parks) or Federally funded (nature parks and reserves) or privately owned (Wave pool, Crocosaurus, etc). Some things to add for others travelling: Darwin Museum, Darwin Botanical Gardens; sight seeing along the Nightcliff foreshore and walking on the jetty (there’s a park and food vans), East Point nature reserve (take a picnic or go after visiting the Parap Saturday morning Markets and getting a famous Laksa), there’s a lake for swimming and a big playground. Darwin also has a big WWII history, paid places I recommend is the War museum at East Point (worth the money), the Oil Tunnels, and walking the Darwin City Esplanade, which is peppered with WWII memorabilia and playgrounds. I haven’t been to the Aviation museum or the 😮Royal Flying Doctors Service Musium on the wharf but I’ve heard they’re good.
Hey guys, Chloe I love your drink bottle you had on the Ferris wheel. That was cool. The crew are taking ideas for our trip next year. Seems like my car has already been there😂😂. Darwin has changed in 30yrs, since I was last there. Looking forward to seeing it again. You guys definitely seemed more relaxed now your holiday is nearly over. Always the way. Commercialised places everywhere you go. It sucks. We'll be definitely looking for off grid, cheaper camping options. But 5acres looks mint. Cheers guys... Mark....
The Adelaide river crocs were jumping and very alert when we saw them in the afternoon even old Brutus loved having a scratch behind the head, was quite sad to leave him… you one hell of an appreciation why these guys are an apex animal I’m on a plane to Perth right now and I burst out laughing when the little Croc disappeared he got munched Oops 🤩🐊
Glad the lad is ok being away and having to deal with health issues is always a worry. Looks like you had a fab last few days before flying home. Dad will go wild now.
Miss my time in Darwin. Espically working at DNB😅 but wow it's changed since I was posted there in 2002. Had to love Chloe... "It's a bin chicken" didn't even hesitate 32:28
9:30 You folks should consider getting an Isuzu NPS 300 / 75 155. But guess each to their own. 19:57 this is more amazing than Aqwa in perth...wow So turns out the group im in knows the person that owns that Isuzu truck.
oh man, i loved crocosaurus cove haha. spent about 3 hours there. but I can see how you could be disappointed. I got a discount to get in and was just by myself.
Relieved that Brodie is sorted and there's nothing seriously wrong. I can only imagine how concerned you would have been. Another great video and tips for what to do around Darwin and where to stay. I can't say as I'm pleased that tour operators are teaching crocs how to jump for a feed. Seems counter intuitive to me. Crocs aren't discriminating when it comes to a feed. (More) safe travels to you all.
I really enjoyed this video, noted all the areas you suggested for our visit and not the croc place 😂 Love your honest opinions and thoughts 🤙🏼Great Video Guys
Fantastic episode, too true about caravan parks, I feel they charge what they can get away with. A bit rude that they charged full whack for a reduced service, especially in school holidays
Having been to Darwin a few times loved your vlog. For your next visit once at Crocosaurus Cove is enough. Unfortunately it tainted you spending more money to visit Aquascene fish feeding. The cove teems with fish and no way compares to the few fish you showed off the wharf. It is a unique experience the kids would have absolutely loved.
Darwin is a bit 💸💸 by the sound of it crocacash , did laugh though Cam at not wanting to pay to feed the fish , I thought that’s what your fishing was 😁 👨🏻🌾🤙🏻
Wow 15 Years ago we did our second territory trip from Qld and did all these things. The prices are insane. Fish feeding was free except for the fish food. We took 4 kids to crocosaurus cove and had the best time. I can’t remember the cost but it wasn’t 95 that’s for sure. Prices are crazy now
Really enjoying your videos, your Darwin series excellent. Can I ask for you input into an issue that I have with my GoPro11. When filming it appears a little jerky at time and I have been told that it is caused by the camera video stabilisation. You filming is very smooth to watch. What model GoPro do you use and what settings do you run it to? Hope you have time to help, cheers Mick.
The brake upgrade made a HUGE difference. With all the weight on the Dmax, and the van in tow, I wasn’t happy with the factory brakes. Wish I had done it sooner, I’ll be doing something similar straight away on the new car.
Hey the wife and I Iove watching all your vids and we are just wondering every time you film inside your van most of your cupboard doors are open 😬😀😀, the wife's compulsive disorder goes off😅😅
Those waterslides are free to encourage the aboriginal kids to swim there instead of the local bush creeks where they were eaten by crocodiles when I lived there,’ there were two kids a week that would go missing
Would love to get back to aussie Even in nz prices for tourist things are pricey Why don’t they charge less and have more thru the gates Obviously some ops don’t tell until to late, I notice a lot of rust marks so tells u something There would be a lot of travellers like u
I love watching your shows there great but why on earth would u want to support them training Crocs to jump just for people's entertainment thats not good seriously gee out in ya tinny and a croc jumps in because it has been taught the idea 🥺 sorry I didn't press that like button and only watched 1/2 ya show me got pissed off 😢
30 seconds in and we aren’t gonna talk about how cool the awning is across from you guys with the elephants !!! love it…..
Yes! We loved it too! 😁

Your comment helps heaps for whoever is visiting Darwin including me. Thank you. I mean it. 🙏
We loved going to Berry Springs, the daughter freaked out when a fish touched her foot while swimming 😅
It’s awesome isn’t it watching crocs live up close👌🏻🥰
Darwin is unreal🤩
Enjoy your little ‘break’ driving home Cam
Great episode guys never really thought much about darwin but after that looks well worth a visit cheers
Good Afternoon 😊 Thanks for an epic episode 👍🏼 Greetings and Cheers 🍻 Legends From South Africa 🇿🇦

Cam, that truck combo seen at 9:31 is the way to go these days - no more weight issues and they go everywhere!
Glad the lad is ok being away and having to deal with health issues is always a worry. Looks like you had a fab last few days before flying home.
Dad will go wild now.
Great stuff guys we really love your videos look forward to them each weekend thanks?

Great video!
When we was younger we use the be able to swim in the lake at Howard Springs.
I did wonder if it was previously a swimming hole!

Yer I don't like it their teaching crocs to jump for food just for people's entertainment and making a buck $ its all wrong in my book
Great video guys! 🤙
Thanks! 👍
Feel like you missed a good one at the fish feeding, loved it as a kid there.
Haha bugger! Will have to go next time!

Hi guys, loving all your vids, got a question about your disk brake conversion, are you happy with it and is it worth the money, Thanks.
The brake upgrade made a HUGE difference. With all the weight on the Dmax, and the van in tow, I wasn’t happy with the factory brakes. Wish I had done it sooner, I’ll be doing something similar straight away on the new car.

Haha, we live our life in chaos! 🤣
Where abouts was the painting from?
Steve Johns is the name of the artist. Believe he travels around selling at local markets etc.
@@WildTouring amazing. Found him on fb. Thanks for the reply. Loving your videos 🙌🏻
