Absolutely love Perry's on the Daly! Dick is a lovely bloke, loves telling stories. He took us for a fish on the billabong our first time there. Such a special spot!
You and Tiff make a great team even when she's not there! Great episode! The improvement in your video production and editing is a credit to you. I've been following you for a while now and it's evident to me. You clearly do the work. I also have to say that I like the way you edit out expletives. We all drop the odd bomb but not including them gives a professional edge to your product. I hear persistence pays with barramundi fishing. Mind you, I've never caught one because I'm too impatient.
Not on camera, you didn't catch it😂😂. You can't say you didn't try. Awesome spots. Love Big Horse creek, changed a bit from how I remember it. Ah the serenity and the sunsets... Cheers Mark....
The owner of Daly River Barra Resort (“across the road”) does awesome 1/2 day fishing charters (which was more like 3/4 of the day). Hubby caught a 78cm Barra!
Cam the local Indigenous people of the Daly River say that when dragonflies appear on the river you will catch Barramundi. I guess they've had a while to work it all out.
Thats funny that its so hard. Malcolm douglas used to pull in tonnes of them in. Nice video once again. U need the go pro chest mount for something when u fish. Give all us arm chair fishers that call duty first person vibe 😂.
Hey Cam, I'm going to be driving a van from Darwin to Perth before the end of the year. Looking fowrward to some tips about where to frree camp!! Safe travlels..
You said the fish were popping up for the bugs. Have you ever seen anyone fish for Barra with a fly rod? Seeing all the wildlife in one spot was cool! Sooo many crocks in that river😮 Are feral pigs a problem in Australia?
Cam you mentioned the icheck tyre monitoring system… would you recommend as we are now actively looking. Have come across a number of posts reloading connection to the trailer tyres. Has this been an issue for you?
Hey Paul, I’ve used several TPMS units over the years, the iCheck is hands down the best. The owner Sam is very innovative, he is constantly making changes to make his products better than anyone else’s- and it’s working! I definitely needed a signal booster for the length of my setup, with that I’ve had no connectivity issues. I think they’re on back order now, some new ones due in a couple of weeks. The new ones are even better than the model I’ve had the past two years. New ones automatically reset alarms to your set pressures every time a tyre sensor is taken off and put back on- significance of that is when you deflate tyres for unsealed roads and screw the tyre sensors back on, the 25psi or whatever your tyres at now becomes the set tyre pressure automatically. Any variance 20% higher or lower sets off an alarm. When you pump them back up to 45psi or whatever your road pressures are, that now b eomes your set pressure (again, variance of 20% higher or lower sets of alarms). So there is literally no setup or programming anymore, very intuitive gear!

Really appreciate the feedback and kind words 😊

just a tip never tie cast net to wrist in croc country as if you happen to throw over a croc the rest is history
Yeah that’s solid advice! Cheers 👍🏼
Glad you got site 16 at Big Horse! We fished that boat ramp for 3 weeks each morning and evening - got two Barra to goat the lures!

Had a great laugh, hubby just about thru his arm out trying as well ... its all a matter of timing with Barra..toooo early or tooo .......
It's probably been mentioned but it was a laugh for me.

"Turns fuel tap on"
Great vid mate you are so lucky to be doing this 👍🏽 😀
I’ve got a lot to be thankful of!
Loved this Cam, some awesome camp sights( great job Tiff) Looks like you had way to much fun without Tiff & the kids 😂

Worked at Daly River for a year in the early 80’s! Best time for the Barra fishing is around Easter while the run is on! Magnificent fishing
Yeah few locals said the same thing! Be nice up there that time of the year!
@@WildTouring we caught 3 off 1 mullet at Diggers Rest station in April 2018! All between 75-80 CM. Not much for the kids to do though!
Geez that young fella to close to waters edge at times in that croc country for my liking.
Yeah
Just been up that way and they're everywhere. Gotta be very careful around the waters edge.

Great episode, Barra's are notoriously difficult, at least you are in the right part of the world
Yeah so I’ve come to realise!! Makes the hunt more fun though!
@@WildTouring 100% agree, on the plus side, they inhabit some rather nice places in the country, nothing like a wild caught one too
Bloody elusive aren’t they!
Next time!! 😂
Cam thanks for the video 👍👍
Always a pleasure! 🍻
One day I will visit the location's you have visited.
I hope you do, and more!
You know the one you lost while setting up your camera(s ) was a barra. . . . . . . Enjoy your vids thanks mate
Haha Yeah of course it was 🤦♂️
what did you do with the fish you caught, that was a good feed you threw away

Oh and my discount code ‘wild’ will still work on back order to save 10% if you do buy anything from www.ichecktpms.com.au
Thanks Cam that does sound promising
Caught my first legal Barra at Daly River took me 50 plus years
Lucky bugger!
How did you enjoy the crankshaft Cam ?
Loved it. One of my favourite beers! 🍻
@@WildTouring it is a great drop, they can sneak up on you after a few! Love the vid and the entire trip series. Thanks guys!
