I'm sure Angel was hoping that by her team beating Iowa (a second time), she can forever claim that she is more worthy than Caitlin. Then, if Angel enters the WNBA draft this year (which I believe she definitely would have had her team had won), she can use a number of reasons why she should have been picked ahead of Caitlin. Therefore, Angel can save some face for being picked after Caitlin, who I believe will be select first overall regardless. However, by her LSU team losing, she has lost a strong argument of being picked ahead of Caitlin, and can't use any reason anywhere near as effective as she would like. So, now that Angel has lost, she has to make a tough choice. She can enter the WNBA draft this year with Caitlin picked ahead of her without good counter arguments OR she can play another year with LSU, which I suspect that she would detest as she would like to turn pro ASAP and start making tons more money via sponsorship deals. Unfortunately, for Angel, this loss has lessened her marketability as a glamorous villian. And make no mistake about it: had her team beat Iowa, she would have loved protraying herself as the villain, more so for the money and not for any dislike/disrespect for Caitlin. So, now y'all know the REAL reason why Angel was really distraught over her team's loss to Iowa.

Coach Mulkey having apoplexy on the sidelines is priceless. 4Q, with less than 2 minutes to go and Iowa up by 10…there was no way in hell LSU was going to win. LSU talked smack all year and got their lunch handed to them. Maybe (or not) this humiliating loss will quiet them down.

All things considered Iowa didn't beat the LSU team that crushed them in the championship game last year but rather a fragment of it that included Angel Reese. A win is a win though I guess.
When you can't even be in the stadium to listen to the national anthem, God will prevail. Way to go Iowa.
Lets be perfectly clear, Mulkey is the coach and she condones and defends the actions of Reese that have made her a justified pariah. Every game Reese is taunting and acting a fool. She's a kid, her coach is more responsible for allowing the beahviors this team exhibits that have drawn righteous indignation.
