I made the mistake of starting on WordPress. Honestly just too much work for someone with no knowledge who doesn't want to pay someone to build it. And the troubleshooting, always something to fix. Felt like I was dealing with issues and learning how to use it more then stuff I built it for.
Depending upon the type of website, I can build it for you. How much can you afford per month?
What option did you choose to resolve this issue?
I also started with WordPress for my latest site. I figured my 20 years of using it would make it easy. But I hadn't built a website using WordPress for at least seven years. No way. Absolutely nothing I knew back in the day was of any help. It is a totally new program. I cancelled it and got a refund. The workflow is an absolute disaster.
Thanks for sharing! The most important thing you said is about not relying on TH-cam, Tik tok, IG. They can literally be down for a day then someone’s whole content creating career is over. It’s so good to actually have a personal website- where you are also selling assets as you always stress that we do lol!
Website is good, but it doesn't protect you from if your social page gets shut down. Giving a free lead magnet to get people to sign up to your email list is something to consider. The real value is having audience's contact info.

I agree with you about the importance of having your own website. While I like something like Framer, platform solutions cut against the idea of having control over your site.
Perhaps worth mentioning, as much as it pains me, Bento recently was bought by Linktree.

You should divide your videos into chapters so viewers can easily navigate. Otherwise, great review!

I process orders for a company I work for who use Wordpress for their ecommerce store. It’s SO clunky and glitchy. Do you have this experience?
