A 2017 study published in the journal Law and Human Behavior found that adults are only able to identify when a kid is lying to them in 47 percent of instances. That means you're falling for the lies kids say more than half of the time! This probability comparison lists some of the lies you've told as a kid.

It’s actually funny. The “I’ve never tasted alcohol” still applies to me, and I’m in my junior year of high school. Haven’t tried it, and I don’t even dare to. I’ve had too many “friends” force me to try it. 😂

Tbh I was once a 5 year old kid who saw my dad hanging out with his friends at my house’s front yard. I ran out and asked if I can taste some alcohols from the beer he was drinking, I begged and begged and begged, without even knowing that it’s inappropriate and so my dad finally gave me a really small sip of it, I was wondering why adults drink that kind of stuff when it tasted trash, then I left.

What concerns me the most isn't the amount of people telling these lies, it's that "I've never tasted alcohol" can be considered a lie in over half of all cases according to this video.

I have actually never lied to my parents about being sick, i even sometimes stayed at school when i was a bit sick

I lied so much when I was a kid, the consequence is that I was extremely delusional and everybody distrust me. Was trying to give up lying for over 10 years now. Still nobody trust me, but at least I trust myself and built up some integrity. Not recommend lying under any circumstance. White lie or not, it will destroy you inside out.
