- Death marks the moment when your vital organs stop working to keep you alive. The actual moment of death is often just one part of a more involved process (dying) where your body slowly shuts down. Many of us wonder what happens after we die. What will happen if human were one hundred percent sure that their life will start over after death? How will people live their lives? Let's find out in this hypothetical timeline scenario.

For Subaru, he gets randomly sent back to a certain point in time rather than being able to pick and choose whatever timeline he wants to wake up in unless the writer makes it like he goes to the nether world after he died and he gets to pick which ever point in time before his death he wants to wake up in.
The one logic they didn’t mention is that if you die and reset your life again, you don’t get to wake up in the day and year you were born. You would simply be reborn as a baby again, but whether or not you will have your memories from before intact is a different story.

I dont want to be in that world. Death is something i wanted for years, it'd be a nightmare.
This is an interesting concept. I kinda incorporated this into a religion for one of my alien races, with some major adjustments and clarifications.
To start off, this religion states that their Goddess created them so that they could have fun. Yes, their primary purpose is to have fun and enjoy their lifes. And when someone dies, their soul comes back to the Goddess, who then wipes their memories and returns them to the mortal realm in a new body, so that the cycle of pleasure and fun would continue.
However, there are some ground rules. 1 - live your life and let others live theirs. This means that nothing is immoral as long as it doesn't affect other people's wellbeing and happiness in a bad way, be it short-term or long-term (but mostly long-term). 2 - consent is priority. And though it can be overlooked in day-to-day routine and/or business environment, when it comes to personal interactions and relationships - it is the law. Meaning that you cannot impose your will onto someone, cannot make anyone do anything if they don't agree to it (because then you will be interfering with their happiness). 3 - live your life, live it well. In a society that believes in rebirth, it wouldn't be uncommon to "off" oneself in hope to get a better life next time. This is why the religion states that the Goddess respects longer lifes - the longer one lived, the more fulfilling and enjoyable their life was (supposedly). If people "offed" themselves regularly, they would make the Goddess even more busy than She already is. Every person's life is Goddess' gift to them, so it would also be very disrespectful towards Her to waste such gift. So it is encouraged for people to cherish their lifes and lifes of others, to live them to their fullest, to enjoy every day they have, to pursue their own dreams and have as much fun as they can. This also applies to "momentary" pleasures, such as drugs and alcohol, and overall poor life choices. It is okay if you drink all the time, but if you die either from poisoning, overdose, or in an accident caused by your intoxication and/or irresponsible behaviour, the Goddess will deem your life wasted.
But how would criminal activity be regulated? Well, if a person was responsible for intentionally ruining someone's happiness multiple times, or even ended someone's life, the Goddess deemed them unworthy. She wouldn't be angry or mad at them, she would be just disappointed and sad, like a loving mother. The only punishment that person would get is that their soul won't be allowed to come back into the mortal realm, thus they won't be able to experience all that pleasure and fun they could have had otherwise.
Are the irresponsible souls not going back to the mortal realm for a set time? Like until they’ve reflected and she wipes their memory?

At first I thought that unworthy souls stayed with the Goddess, watching others enjoy their lifes, and when it became too unbearable, she erased them forever. However, this seems too cruel for the Goddess, she probably should be more merciful and motherly. So I guess she indeed would put the unworthy souls into "time out" to let them reflect on their own misdeeds, and if the soul sincerely repented (the Goddess would know if the soul faked it), she would forgive them and send back to the mortal realm.
Technically, your life does start over if you die. (I heard a james the 2nd died and got reborn into ANOTHER JAMES. And remembered his past life. Pretty sure he thought of himself as james the 3rd)

You can't.
Inheritance laws would also be messed up, as everyone would just will their estates to themselves. So every time you went around (assuming you earned more than you spent in your lifetime, you'd get richer and richer. But, since this would apply to EVERYONE, it wouldn't matter much since inflation would erase any advantage.

Funnily enough, I recently made a mistake and had an accident with some difficult injuries. I did think it'd be nice to have another chance and not make those mistakes. But I'd no doubt make different ones! Life here is very short, and not all that real, a kind of matrix. The afterlife is real life.
