I had tears in my eyes watching the JOY in sweet Joe’s face when he opened his box. He was so excited! What a joy he is and I can’t thank you enough for always sharing him with us. He is one of the best things about your channel. ❤️
It does my heart good to see you took my suggestion about a kid pick box for Joe. When I made the suggestion I had noticed how sad he looked when the other 2 received theirs. The absolute joy on his face is priceless
Jennifer I just love that you're posting more videos,I'm soooo excited when I see them pop up! And I just loved the excitement from Joe on opening his box of clothes...Thank you for all you do, and for sharing your beautiful family with us...❤️🤗
I loved seeing Joe excited to open his own package but I also noticed and was thinking how sweet that Peter and Maria were excited for him as well !!! They were happy for him 💕
I just had to comment about Joe and how far he's come since I started watching your channel. It's a testament to you, both as a teacher and a mom. He's a lucky young man to have such a loving family. The best to you and your lovely family.
Sugar cookie hack, roll dough out using powdered sugar instead of flour. They don't get tough because you aren't adding extra flour in. No worries about how many times you need to roll and cut out cookies.
I love how Peter enjoys baking and cooking! My 18 and 11 yr old when I ask them to help they give me that "are you kidding me look" they would rather be out under the hood of a car. My 30 yr old is a chef at a resort in Northern Ontario and his cuisine is amazing a lot of game food but when he comes home he doesn't go near the stove. He wants mom or nana to cook...home cooking goodness is what he calls it.
I love when joe busts out a big laugh how can you not laugh or at least smile , he is such a happy guy , y'all have done such good jobs as parents Jennifer and warren . I bett joe is a real character.
I am so glad you made a special box for Joe! I loved seeing how happy it made him. ❤️ And, how sweet that he thought his jeans were for Nick! Awwwweee!! 🥰❤️❤️
My grandmother's sugar cookie recipe uses sour cream. It is the favorite of now 5 generations. And yes tradition taught us to not just keep scraps separate but also store separately.
Aww joe❤! He loved his box! What a great idea.. he is such a special guy I just love him. And Peter and Maria did such a good job being excited for him.. such great kids❤
OMG Jennifer that is the sweetest gift for Joseph just the look on his face going through the box warmed my heart, hats off to the subscriber who made the suggestion.😊😊
Ever try spreading whipped cream cheese on a dense bread like your banana bread? Delicious!! My mom’s old cookbook-circa 1950’s -has many box recipes taped to pages. She would have, as I do, agreed with you reading cookbooks like novels. Thx always for sharing.
Joe’s laugh ♥️ What a clever idea putting together his very own kid pik box! His excitement is so sweet! Barley is something I never think to cook with. You’ve inspired me to make a vegetable barley soup this week Thanks for another great video. I do look forward to these. Love from Philadelphia!
Backs of food packaging...what a great idea for a video! Seeing kids get excited about packages chosen especially for them is truly one of the best things ever! Thanks for sharong.
Awesome Joe is going to look very dashing in his new clothes, what fun watching him. Thanks for sharing new recipes with us today. Keep the video’s coming I really enjoy them.
That's why I love your videos. Regular family life with the kids in and out whether they are helping or asking a question. Joe loved his box. ! So sweet. Soup/chili looked good
Jennifer I love watching you and your beautiful family it’s means so much too me especially when I don’t feel good you always love and happiness your younger children are so precious watching them all liking to help you in the kitchen God bless you all much love to 🙏🏻🌷✝️🇺🇸♥️📿❤️💜💗🌹☮️🙏🏻✝️📿❤️💜💗
I loved watching Joe open the "kidpick" box, that was great and am so glad you did that for him, I don't know why but it made my day to see him enjoy that.
My mama heart jumped up my throat watching Joe with his box! #imnotcryingyourecrying PS- Maria, you're winning at the lil sis situation! Thank you for sharing and Please take care ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
What a great concept!!! There are great recipes on food boxes. I love getting new recipes from shredded cheese bags hahaha!!! And love Joe getting his box…so cute🥰
A great video. Joe is so cute 🥰 I liked watching him open his clothes box. Your chili & cookies were yummy. Your children are so cute.God bless everyone 🙏
Hi Jennifer! Can I get your crusty mini loaf recipe with all bran? Your relationship with joe is the sweetest ! My daughter is high functioning autistic and I don’t know but I see how joe brought you joy and learning like my daughter has for me! ❤️
Thank you. I love reading cook books and back of the package recipes too. Some of my most favorite recipes come from the back of the boxes and are more difficult to find now. If you find one that you love make sure you make multiple copies and even scan and save it digitally! Ask me how I know.... Have a great day!
I’d like to add I love seeing your kids in the videos! I have 5 kids so I love kids in the kitchen. My youngest who is a girl is also our hardest to please with food lol. Your eyes are gorgeous too!
When I was a girl (I'm pushing 80) my mother made sour cream lemon cookies. They looked similar to your sugar cookies, but were a lovely light yellow. She didn't ice them, but she may have added sugar to the tops. They were my favorite cookie. Thanks for the memory. It was a great idea the fill the box for Joe yourself. I've often enjoyed unboxing clips, but this one was one of the best!
Jennifer, you and your family are wonderful. I love sitting with my daughters and watching. We cook Jennifer's recipes all the time and just love your cookbook
In my experience the recipes on the back of the package are usually the best ones and showcase the ingredient. Companies aren’t going to put a bad or bland recipe on their package; only the best! My favorite tapioca recipe is off of Bobs Red Mill large pearl tapicoa, it’s amazing!
It's so good my great grandmother used to make here in bayous of Louisiana I enjoy your videos found you after I came out diabetic coma I'm 59 Love your Channel I have a autistic child. Ret Lt Dee
How true! I have recipes from the back of some dry bean bags that I have never seen on the newer bags. One is lentil pilaf that I love, that is from so many years ago. Also, a good recipe from the bag of split peas. My favorite recipe for split peas and the only one I use now. YUM! GREAT video!
Seeing that white plate with the green ring around it reminds me of Sunday dinner at my grandmas house. Those are some pretty old plates! Lol! It was 1976 and I was ten years old then. I inherited what was left of those plates when my grandma passed away. So durable, they’re still going!
I work thru the cookie dough until it’s all used up. I do save/freeze pie crust scraps for future cobblers.I drop the scraps into the inside of juicy cobblers like dumplings. It’s awesome!
I save the scraps and do another roll. Your grandma has a good point never thought about those last cookies being not has good, I may have to consider that. I also always do less time than the recipe to check first, can always add more time.
Your eyes are just stunning, Jennifer! I think if you used salsa instead of just the can of crushed tomato, it might have perked up the flavor for you a bit. Joe had me smiling from ear to ear and Peter and Maria were so sweet! Loved the video.
I like the idea of making recipes from the product packaging or their website. I also like how you sifted over a plate and then poured sifted items in mixer. I learned something new. Thanks!
That’s so sweet ❣️I might have teared up a little. I’ve told you before I have 2 adopted sisters with Down’s syndrome and I know how their sizes are. Hard to find clothes that fit them properly. That was such a good idea and I know it made joe’s day. Great job mom.
I always roll dough then add fresh dough to the scraps each time that way nothing is getting too much flour. The cookies are consistent and I've never had any issues with them being tough.
Working on a pile of dough 2 to 3 times. We call the left over dough butt cookies. We form them into big fat cookies and bake them. My sister loves them!
I have a recipe book that is probably 30 or more years old. All the recipes came from the labels of products. It was wonderful but I gave it away a few years ago. It is missed now.
Part of my family had dairy farms up the northern California coast. The sugar cookie recipe was their go to but using butter along with the sour cream. I think EVERY family that lived on the coast used the same recipe LOL.This was a great memory.
I recently found your channel. I love watching your family and the many recipes you share. The sugar cookies looked beautiful! I add a tad of almond flavoring to sugar cookie recipes, it seems enhance the flavor. Jennifer, you are an awesome person. Thank you for being an inspiration! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just watched both videos!!!! Like I told her, I've been reading recipes on boxes and labels for years!!!!!! This was a great collaborations. Joe was so cute opening his box. Peter and Maria were so sweet because they had such a sweet part in it also!!!!! I really enjoy watching your videos!!!!!!!
My family has a cookie recipe similar to that called sour cream cookies. They are very much like a bakery cookie, they are not sweet so the icing is a must.
Neat to see Joseph open a box especially for him. Thank you for sharing your honest opinion on the recipes you try, also thanks to the kiddos for their test tries and help, God bless 🙏❤️
Greetings from MN! We recently found your channel and have been watching daily! Our boys especially enjoy when your kiddos join in on the videos! My aunts sugar cookie recipe has sour cream in it but it’s not my family’s preferred recipe. My husband says they don’t have enough flavor and need frosting. I enjoy a crispy sugar cookie simply rolled in sugar before baking. I also grew up watching my grandmother separate the dough by 1st, 2nd, & 3rd rolling.
I had tears in my eyes watching the JOY in sweet Joe’s face when he opened his box. He was so excited! What a joy he is and I can’t thank you enough for always sharing him with us. He is one of the best things about your channel. ❤️
Joe is my favorite too. It was so nice seeing him open his box. He's such a fun guy!
Thank you for draining and rinsing your canned vegetables. Rinsing them takes away some of the salt and makes them taste less like canned.
So glad for Joe he has a Mom that really makes his life a good one.
It does my heart good to see you took my suggestion about a kid pick box for Joe.
When I made the suggestion I had noticed how sad he looked when the other 2 received theirs.
The absolute joy on his face is priceless

That’s a fabulous tip!! I hope I can remember it next time I roll out dough.
The sibling love during the box opening simply melted my heart. ❤️❤️

You ought to catch Mandy in the making! She and her husband are absolutely darling! ❤️
Hey Jennifer, love the box of goodies for Joe. Perfect for his nightclub! Lol
Baking soda, being added to buttermilk, yogurt or sour cream - produces carbon dioxide gas bubbles and that will cause the batter or dough to rise.
So fun to watch Joe open 'his' box! What a great idea the commenter(s) had to make up his own box to unbox!
How cool for Joe to get his very own box and how excited Peter & Maria were for him. 😁
Joe’s laugh ♥️
What a clever idea putting together his very own kid pik box! His excitement is so sweet!
Barley is something I never think to cook with. You’ve inspired me to make a vegetable barley soup this week

I laughed when you told Joe to shhh and he kept talking but just in a whisper
I absolutely loved Joe's reaction to his Kidpick box. You need to keep doing that for him :)

Yay for Joe’s box! What a great way to surprise him! My mom had a cookie recipe that used sour cream and she always frosted them. 😀
Enjoy watching your channel, and the every day activities of you guys.
I like the idea of using the Recipes from the back of boxes!

Great video Jennifer and so glad Joe enjoyed his new clothes. 🇬🇧🥰
Thank you Jan. ❤️
That wgats a fun video idea! I love Maria! She cracks me up with her food critiquing.
I would add more beans! We serve our chili over rice then sprinkle onion, cheese, sour cream on top and then eat with nachos!! So good!!
I am so glad you did that for Joe.
These are the sugar cookies I use for Christmas cut outs, but yes, we frost them and add sprinkles and candies.
Lovely video, I enjoyed all the cooking and seeing the children!
I like watching your channel while I am in dialysis. It helps make the time go by quicker!
I pray you are healed from all kidney troubles.

The plates and bowls in that pattern were Warren’s grandma’s plates.

Great idea with the box. And i love trying out new recipes.
Oh my gosh! I saw that recipe just the other day on the back of my barley box too. I thought it sounded really good! Too funny, like minds girl!

Too funny 😂
We always frosted the sour cream sugar cookies to add sweetness
I put butter on my quick bread when I eat it, gives you that moisture.
I have a recipe book that is probably 30 or more years old. All the recipes came from the labels of products. It was wonderful but I gave it away a few years ago. It is missed now.
.I grew up making and eating sour cream sugar cookies., I made them for my boys when they were growing up. They are a very soft cookie.
Part of my family had dairy farms up the northern California coast. The sugar cookie recipe was their go to but using butter along with the sour cream. I think EVERY family that lived on the coast used the same recipe LOL.This was a great memory.

Aww! So neat for Joe to get his own box! What a genius idea from your viewer! ❤️
I found you from Darlene’s channel. Loved this video.
The box was for him, and he was thinking of Nick! Precious!
Put cream cheese on that bread! I love that you share Joe with us and loved seeing him open his box.
There is a deviled egg recipe that I use was cut from an egg carton from back in the 70s from my aunt.
Great video Jennifer! Enjoyed following you with the thought process and reviews! From Montgomery al 🙏 ❤️
I love going to brand websites and seeing the recipes they have for their products.
This is such a cool idea. Thank you for sharing 🤠

I also grew up watching my grandmother separate the dough by 1st, 2nd, & 3rd rolling.
Welcome Jess and family! I prefer my regular cutout cookie recipe too. It has more flavor.
I just made raisin bran muffins , I had a big box just sitting there and they are delicious, thanks for the inspiration!
