They all chose different branches and my dad had no effect on any of the family for advantage. They all thankfully started at the bottom. Some look white, some look Indian, etc. this is ridiculous.

      Ms porter is wrong . I simply looked up affirmative action in the military. 1973. I bet her brother wasn’t in the military in 1973z. As a matter of fact affirmative action in academies and the military were ahead of the civilian sector. Last year is when the Supreme Court addressed affirmative action . So both people on the left are the only credible ones. I used a different search engine than Google. I had problems when I researched previously found articles , etc after having looked them up prior. The naval academy was actually the ones that had it first. It increased the black soldier numbers increase greatly by 1991.

      Very much so. The dems have accused Trump of everything they are doing . Including an insurrection of our constitution. I feel Obama and Biden and the whole democratic congress are in on it. The first division and violent protests started in 2014 . And racism also got distorted. True gay men that are not that way for attention totally disagree with DEI, CRT, and LGBT. They are attacking us from within. They have been trying to provoke a revolution and chaos so they can take over. They don’t understand why it hasn’t worked. It’s mainly bc people are not by nature prejudice. They by nature hang and group with people who are more like them. Which can be rich and poor, black or white , criminals or non criminal, etc. which makes a big mixture of all kinds.

    • @dexterfretsing2055
      @dexterfretsing2055 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      They oppose it because they care more about skin colour and gender than ability. You hear them prioritising "having a workforce that looks like the American people", meaning superficial diversity, and attempting to engineer equal outcomes between race and gender and sexual orientation demographics. They also assume that somehow leads to better performance, which has never been demonstrated (although the opposite has). This idea undermines fundamental meritocracy. In the military, it should be about performance foremost, not skin colour and gender diversity, and being gay. None of those things should be obstacles, of course. Let's be clear: when it comes to life or death, all you care about is whether or not they can do the job--not their minority status. Do we want to focus on dividing people up based on their race and gender, and incorporating that into promotion decisions as a social engineering experiment--or do we want to emphasis COMPETENCE?

    • @lovethief660
      @lovethief660 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because now instead of hiring the best sniper marksman of a unit, they want to hire the most diverse meaning that he/she cannot or does not have to be a no miss accurate, precise marksman, because who cares if he/she can kill the enemy before they strike our soldiers???? We have more..... Sarcasm intended!!!!! Rashkin should go live in Iran.

    No one is saying that minorites can't join and serve and obtain leadership roles, what they are saying is they shouldn't be promoted primarily or soley based on who they are rather than what they can do. If a black fighter pilot is best to lead a squadron then I wan't him leading it, if its a female she should lead, but those factors race and gender should not put them in that role over a better leader regarless of what gender, race or ethnicity they are.

    Bonuses are offered in order to incentivise New Recruits to sign up for MOS's that have a shortage of people. There are also reelistment bonuses to help retain people. These are offered in times were there is a need to retain or increase numbers of people in certain jobs or when there is a need to retain people in time of crisis.
    I received a $3,000 dollar bonus in 1989 to enlist in the National Guard as an Artillery Mechanic. When I was deployed, I received a $7,000 dollar bonus to reenlist for three additinal years in 2005.

    The military is for our national defense and protection not a political tool for ideology. People who have been in war or in military service know that you are only as good as the person that stands by you . There is no room for racially charged rhetoric of woke marxism . The military has no room or benefit for divisions. All military servants should be treated to a high standard, not a lower standard to encompass peoples that mentally, and physically are not up to perform duties

    The democrat members of the committee totally missed (probably on purpose) the main issue - DEI/CRT indoctrination of our service members - and tried to steer the hearing into being solely about "diversity" in the military. All of the witnesses strongly agreed that (a) we have a very diverse force; and (b) there is nothing wrong with/bad about that. General Sidule appeared uniformed about current DEI/CRT activities in the US military, and continually referred back to the sixties and seventies to support his argument that the opposing witnesses were trying to set us back (as did Rep Garcia). This is going to be a long fight against social/racial indoctrination in the military, and we may not be able to recover from the damage that has already been done to the world's best military. As a vet, I am saddened by this overt attempt to subvert our military with clearly Marxist ideology, and I am ashamed of the military leadership who have allowed this to happen.

Show some of those migrants how USA Military is the best in the world, and kicks you know what! Train some of those people in Alaska! Alaska is also closer to Russia and Ukraine to be ready! Use your critical thinking on these things that you were blessed with to have the advantage of higher education.

    Multiple professions require their participants to be responsible for other people's survival. Military professions are among them. Race, creed, color and gender should not be factors in hiring and promoting in the military. Put the best qualified people in each role, regardless of what %'s of those in that role are members of any particular race, creed, color or gender. If you really think a certain group is starting out from a disadvantaged position, volunteer your time and money to helping members of that group overcome the disadvantage and build the skills needed to compete based on merit.
    These dems keep saying there used to be discrimination against groups without regard to merit, so we should now discriminate in favor of some groups, and against others, contrary to merit. Bad logic!

    Im 58 years old, retired Air Force and feel the last generation of parents failed the eligible recruits by lowering standards and by accepting mediocrity. It poisoned this generation. Why would they give up their "entitled" status to conformity even with the lowering of standards and maximum age changes to increase recruitment? I grew up in a time when we learned to tie shoes before kindergarten rather than resorting to velcro. We knew how to read a tape measure and tell time on an analog clock. We signed paychecks in cursive. We knew what spackling was by 8. We had pick up games and didn't rely on parents to drive us to practice...we ran there. Not everyone received a trophy and we kept score! We knew how to give change back when someone gave us a few cents over. We played outside and drank from hoses. We actually developed social skills through personal interaction rather than hiding behind social media walls. We earned enough money to buy a beater car and were proud to have it. We weren't handed a new car at graduation. We knew what patriotism was at an early age and many of us joined for that reason alone. There is a reason why only 1% serve because they are made of the character to be combatants. Let's stop dropping the bar and get back to grass roots military! We have only ourselves to blame for this predictable outcome!

    All of this reminds me of the 60’s and 70’s when blacks fought so hard for equality. The came the late 70’s and Women were fighting for equality. Everyone was feeling that finally there was progress. Then came Trump and every hard earn step forward was exploded. Because of him every snake came out from under their rock and felt encouraged to destroy every step forward that was made. But it doesn’t matter, the world wants equity and the entitled feel their rights are being stepped on because they are having to share the benefits of the world. Well, they are going to have to learn to share.

    It's because of The United States Military, which began by George Washington, that the world has become more integrated, slowly, and not without much trials and errors, but with the progress of learning to become capable of coming together for a more perfect Union. That's the facts. It's because Of America and Our Constitution and Bill Of Rights.

      I have many times wondered how our founding fathers were able to put together the constitution , written with such clarity and wisdom, the part that baffles me the framers were teen agers barely old enough to shave, yet they possessed some outstanding insight and wisdom few have today twice their ages. The world has changed a great deal since i was a child, we went from horse and buggy to landing a spacecraft on the moon and return safely 6 times all in a 75 year period. Governments have tried to stop what is coming very soon not real sure i will be around when the great reset takes place, it will mark the beginning of an entirely new world . The best part is it literally happens in 1 24 hr. cycle 1 revolution of the planet , it is a perfectly natural process all intelligent beings must go through in order to continue evolving, it's called ENLIGHTENMENT. Humanity has known the best kept secret for 102 years. In 1922 Albert Einstein made the greatest discovery ever, he had a vision that our universe was much more than it appears, he believed it was a conscious being. So to prove this theory he developed a consciousness test to give the universe , sound weird, the results were positive. THIS DISTURBED albert as it would any scientist of his time, he went into seclusion for 3 weeks and pondered over the results. To this very day nobody knows for sure if he truly understood what he discovered. In the end most believe he felt the world was not ready for this data. The test he developed was the work of a real super genius, simple to the point and flawless positive results can not be mistaken for any other event. TH-cam has an excellent video on this simple yet effective exam- test albert called the test results Spooky reaction at a distance, a university professor narrates and demostraights the entire event, british fellow as i recall. Please excuse me for rambling on, this subject is something i have studied most of my entire adult life. All intelligent species must go down this pathway in order to continue this journey called life. a test must be past first. It has only happened one time documented in India, when a civilization passes the test the universe rewards you and every being of your species, a gift one of many to follow in the years decades down the road even centuries later the gifts keep coming, the only documented enlightenment event to take place was around 500 years ago to a species called SABE or Sasquatch know by most as bigfoot. These beings were fully accepted by the universe and passed the test which was simple, the test is two parts, 1 knowing who to ask for enlightenment, 2 getting all the nations leaders to agree on 1 human being to stand up and represent all of us that is the test , all humanity in agreement. within one rotation of earth all humans no matter where they are located wake up with the ability to communicate with others telepathically , to read thoughts and mind speak at any distance instantaneously, this universe creates its own physics laws. ONCE you see what the universe gave albert, to prove it was alive intelligent being and extremely powerful. THIS is always the first gift WHY? because it instantly ends all wars murders, and crimes instantly, suddenly it all seems to be pointless, This gift will be needed to travel in space radios are useless, mind speaking is instantaneously connected even 50,000 light years apart. MAny dictators will resist, they will lose their power over the masses. What we have learned is paranormal abilities are in fact , perfectly normal, our living universe decides who stays and who will perish, apparently it has been done this way for millions of years perhaps even billions of years. If we fail guess who will inherit the earth, in the last 500 years their populations have gone from 4-500 of them to over 100,000 world wide, US, MEXICO, CANADA ALASKA, AND HAWAII of this type their are 3 more. The universe keeps the playing field level, if one gets it they all get it. In her eyes wee are all created equal and remain equal.

    Not to mention that the government has lost my army military file which where I have been fucked out of 6 years in Army service not to mention that I have also been fucked by my Marine discharge by 1 year so if you add both my branches of serice being 9 years but it is very convenient to not only lose my Army file which should read 7 years of military service which happens to be missing from Missouri and other military agencies which is bullshit that an fully awarded soldier is easily forgotten due to a missing file from one branch of service and totally dicked in the other with line 28 in the DD214 states a medical condition..not to mention that the VA system is totally fucked up due to the fact that all the meds I have to take is more than the 10% I get not to mention that this is extreme shit cause it should be that any veteran with a rating under 30% should not have to pay for meds or visits which is total bullshit cause with a rating of only 10% I not only can not survive without help from a civilian which is also unfair to them and this current administration and over the 90% of politicians that are in office (Democrats mainly) who steals from several programs to line their pockets with money and power which is not the country that I put my life on the line to save...here is my suggestion which is extremely simple..make it much easier for myself and other veterans who are being fucked by the system get their rightful disability.

    Furthermore; People need to stop hating on and blaming America, including some of its' own citizens, but certainly not all of it's citizens. Stop saying that America is a colonizer. We only colonized ourselves. We didn't colonize Central and South America, nor Mexico, because if we had, it wouldn't be like it is now. It would be more prosperous. Same thing with the continent of Africa. We didn't colonize Russia either, or it would've never been a communist nation in the first place. America has led the entire world on diversity because of Our Constitution and Bill Of Rights for humanity! We were the first to do that. We proved that diversity works peacefully. We didn't start wars, but we have had to have strategies because we have always been the one's who have had to come to everyone's rescue. No, we are not perfect, but we also have learned, and that's why we have been capable of leading the world. It's because of our spirit and because we care about people all around the world. We didn't colonize China either. We helped China to become prosperous, and now that we cannot help pay for them anymore, their citizens are starving and sick. People need to stop stabbing America in the back. They should be grateful for America. We are the only ones who care about Israel, but we didn't start that war either. If you really want to know, ask Great Britain and France, and ask Germany why they did and do what they do. We shouldn't be taking orders from Great Britain. They should be modeling after us, because we broke free from their authority in the first place!
