Is no one gonna say anything about how K&Gs switch up the art dependant on the culture? This is a trend I noticed while contrasting their content related to Rome, Mongols, and the empires of the middle east. Like its something they could have kept the same but went the extra mile to depict the cultural aspects of each video and I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for their hard work.

Aurangzeb was another name cruelty and destruction. Aurangzeb was so full of hate, he vandalized many monuments in Ellora caves, which were created some 5000 years ago, just because the monuments were replicas of Hindu and Buddhist gods. These caves were totally man-made and chiseled out of very large single mountain rock. Modern architecture would easily forfeit in front of architecture of Ellora and Ajanta caves.

India has nearly 5000 years old written history. If so old history is there, emotions are there too of original Indian people. So many people tried to invade India, only to get to closer to their end. So these people who tried to invade, situated here for little time only to get thrown out, tried to change many things i.e. names of cities, culture, languages etc. They never succeeded. The original name of Aurangabad was "Khadki" recognized as town near Deogiri fort. Aurangzeb changed the name to Aurangabad. Now majority of people demand renaming city to "Sambhaji Nagar", which will happen because they already renamed Aurangabad airport to "Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Airport", so now change in the city name is also expected. It will be Sambhaji Nagar.

why? It is literally a tiny drop in history of the Indian people. To outsiders, maybe exception is a big deal but to Indians what does it mean? In the West, the exception becomes the rule but in India the exception is just another exception. Was he seen as an actual ruler? He had to get a puppet. The issue with such shallow videos is they lack context; what exactly do you think the majority of HIndu Indians were doing at this time? This is our land, our resources, our culture, our history. I see comments here as if the actual majority, Hindu Indians, don't exist in this story. This story is told as if they are simply bystanders in their own land. Western nonsense. Get a real Indian to tell this story and put it in rightful context. No one came to this land and ruled while the majority Indians stood idly by.

While they were confedracy and were very weak economically and militarily when compared to earlier mughals.
Rulers of chittor are portrayed as defenders of hinduism while mewar was a small kingdom that lies between delhi and Gujarat every ruler of delhi wanted direct access to ports of Gujarat.

This is actually a lie, and this channel is just regurgitating what they read from false stories. In fact, in antiquity the Ethiopians ruled much of India. These Ethiopians were called the Naga. It was the Naga who created Sanskrit. A reading of ancient Dravidian literature which dates back to 500 BC, gives us considerable information on the Naga. Chapu wasnt even the name, that is not an oromo name and he was not oromo but was from harar.

African history is present in "white history book" in high school and university. And if with Internet you cannot found books on African History the problem is not Conspiracy. A different and real matter on History is that most of the people stopped to study after they left school, but stopped to study everything in reality, AND there are problems on selling books to non history-fan people. Majority of history books are on British Empire, U.S. Revolutionary and Civil wars, Napoleonic Wars, Greco-Roman Civilizations, Viking Age, WW1 and WW2 because sold to everyone. Sometimes you find a book on Western Colonialism in the Americas. Localy you can found books on african or asiatic civilization that were colonized. K&G started in the same way and now used money to improve itself with good quality art and stories. AND most important, it used English to speak worldwide and English is the lingua franca of world and it can reach almost all. Not so if it were a French or German or Spanish.

@Sultan Abdulhameed II no they wants to. Millennia ago the whole of India followed the vedic culture. That's true. However what Vedic culture was and what Hinduism is now is a big difference bc for almost 1000 years the Vedic population suffered the destruction of temples and educational institutions, the genocides of learned monks and Brahmins and the scattering of students, led to a widespread decline in Vedic education. With the fall of kings that followed vedic culture, science research and philosophy faced some setbacks due to a lack of funding, royal support, and an open environment. Mansa Musa I of Mali was the wealthiest person in medieval history. Some Indian temples have treasure vaults that haven't been opened for 100s of years. One that is opened contained $22 billion worth of gold jewelry, gems etc. Imagine what the 5 still closed vaults have. There are many temples like this.

Malik Ambar was a remarkable general who was the first to train the Marathas. It was he, who first recognised the swiftness and the guerrilla warfare skills of Marathas. Though Ahmednagar kingdom was absorbed into the Mughal empire not long after his death, the Marathas played a key role in the destruction of the Mughal empire. By the mid of 18th century and even further till the Marathas were finally supplanted by the Britishers, they were the virtual masters of Hindustan.

In my opinion, Ambar had seen more than most of the locals starting with Africa, slavery, Baghdad (very sophisticated city at that time), and was highly educated and above all was very determined because of his past history. Note: habeshai means abyssinian not Ethiopian
Abyssinians or habshet (used by their southarabian relatives) are semitic speakers who came from the middle east to the horn of Africa even tho their language is semitic theirancestry is mostly anatolian they became semitized in the levant and fron the levant they along with sabaeans settled in southarabia and the hornofafrica
By the 3rd century ad their empire (the axumite empire) was a very powerful empire(even conquered southern arabia and nubia) which had a monopoly over most African products like ivory and animals but specifically african slaves which is why slaves of african origin are often called habeshi , the arabs of the time noticed how all africam slaves are brought from what was then the axumite empire also known as habashat so they made the connection and named them habeshi but in Ethiopia they still distinct between Abyssinians and the rest.

@Kings and Generals : Great video, just a small point, at the time of Malik Ambar, Aurangabad was known as Khadki, it was later named Aurabgabad due to Emperor Aurangzeb, who set up his base there in a futile bid to conquer Deccan. Also as for the ethnic and factional politics, the Ahmednagar Sultans having been Hindu converts themselves, were very inclusive of different races, and more capable sultans used these racial and ethnic factional rivalries to keep hold of power over their ministers and courtiers. In fact several native converted Sultanates such as the Nizam Shahis of Ahmednagar, the Imad Shahis of Berar, Muzaffarids of Gujarat and the Sharqis of Awadh, used Rajput, Hindustani Muslim, Afghan, Deccani (Muslims and Hindus) and Ethiopian(mostly in Deccan) factions as a political counterweight to the established power of the Turkic and Iranian generals and ministers. Even the Mughals continued this trend later. As for the Deccani system of war, a very telling fun fact reflecting the utterly baffled Mughal view of the Deccanis is an 18th century Mughal chronicler's amusing (but erroneous) conjecture that 'Maratha' name comes from the term 'Maar ke Hatta', literally hindi for one who hits and retreats. The Marathas erupted into central and North India in early 18th century, their cavalry armies quickly taking the provinces of Gujarat, Malwa and Bundelkhand from the Mughals, and even sacking Delhi, practicing 'Bargi-gari', or as they called it Ganimi Kava. The Mughals called this Qazzaki tactics. A very indicative battle to best encapsulate the culmination of the Bargi-gari mode of war would be the campaign if Palkhed 1728, this battle by the Maratha Peshwa would be later given high praises by the WW II Field Marshal Montgommery in his book on the history of warfare. Check out Sir Jadunath Sarkar's book 'Military History of India', it is freely available online on Archive.org. Once again thanks for this splendid work on Indian history.
