The shots in this video are excellent! Man i really enjoyed watching that. It’s rare that someone takes the time to get that many highly detailed photos of a watch in a review. It certainly is a deserving watch. The movement and dial look great. I am impressed. It’s great that this watch is mostly made in Los Angeles also. Not a city known for manufacturing. That makes me really want to add one to my collection.
Thank you very much for watching, and for the kind words! Even though I have no connection to Los Angeles, I think it looked great seeing that on the dial. Unfortunately they have now removed that text in their updated dials, since they moved to Nashville. I think they're going to keep the dials blank since parts will be manufactured in both LA and Nashville. I heard that they do have some LA dials left, in case you were interested in those.
Very elegant & attractive timepiece. Just wish I was able to afford one. Just received spinal surgery today & am resting up watching YT videos on him & his company. Day dreaming of owning one of these beauties. Maybe one day.
Well done!! I own the 42mm Titanium Ultralight and it is probably my favorite watch if I had to choose. A joy to wear and works on so many different straps.
I agree with all the comments below. Well done. Regarding the L2L, Weiss reports 46.9mm and you, 50mm. With larger watches, the difference is negligible; however, with smaller watches, 3.1mm is significant.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I find a lot of these early field watch era designs to be similar to pilot watches of that era (like the Hanhart). I think it is primarily because they're both so closely related to pocket watches of that time.
Great review, you get all the necessary info across in a concise delivery, good camera work too. Wish the watch had all this in 40mm and I love that grey canvas strap. Lug to lug on website says 47mm vs your 50mm, that could make a difference in fit. Thanks
Thanks for watching, and the kind words. I took a look at the website, and it lists the lug to lug as 49.6mm. Maybe you looked at the 38mm watch? That has a lug to lug of 46.6mm.
@@BeansAndBezels ok, that’s just a smidge big for me. I’ve been trending towards smaller case sizes, 40mm is my ideal, with lug to lug max under 48mm a for my 7.25” wrist.
Again, another great review. Your camera work really is a joy to watch. Beautiful watch albeit a little on the large side (at least for me). However, I would like a watch with this movement in it, but with a ~40mm case diameter. I understand Tourby make some, but yet to check these out properly. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for the kind words! Yeah, this watch was a bit too large for me as well. I would love to see these movements in a smaller case, but given that the movement itself is roughly 37mm in diameter, I'm not entirely sure how robust a 40mm case would be. I like what Zelos did with their recent skyraider, by sticking to 42mm in diameter, but drastically reducing the lug to lug to around 47mm. I think that would wear nicely even on smaller wrists.
They make a 39mm one, too. If I could afford one, I'd get the 39mm. Currently, I own a Citizen BM8180 eco drive field watch that is 37mm and it sits on my wrist very well. Two more mm wouldnt be too big, I dont think.
I’ve been fascinated by Unitas 6497/8 watches lately so this was a treat to see! I thought Weiss watches had the hacking feature similar to the Guinand Series 31E? Maybe the newer ones do? Either way, Great review and thanks for doing it. The size has put me off from buying one but the case actually looked well proportioned to your wrist. I understand the sentiment though. I have a 6.75” wrist and shy away from anything 42mm, especially something with such a narrow bezel.
Thanks for watching! As far as I know, the movement inside the Series 31E isn't a stock 6497/6498, and has actually been modified to hack. The movement on the Weiss looks to me like a standard 6497. I'm not sure if Weiss has changed that on their more recent models though. I'll have to look into it. But yeah, the 649X is such a beautiful movement, but hard to stomach the size for small wrists such as mine. I think with your 6.75", it would look a lot more appropriate.
Thanks for watching. I think with a 6.75" wrist you can pull of the 42mm. I felt like I could pull it off with my 6.5" wrist too, but it just wore a tad large. It also appears to wear bigger than it is because of how much of that 42mm is dial. That said it is a very comfortable watch.
I think the 42 mm looks good on you. I have this exact same watch and love it on my 6.75 inch wrist. I prefer the 42 vs the 38 because of the presence on wrist, feels like wearing and old beautiful pocket watch. The 38 might loose this appeal
Are you located in Los Angeles? If so, I live in North Hollywood, s definitely get in touch if you're ever in the mood to sell your Hanhart Preventor 9. It's exactly the watch I've been looking for.
Hey, I'm on the other coast! I'm unlikely to ever sell the Hanhart. I really enjoy it, and it will be a permanent member of my small collection. They do show up pre-owned on eBay for around $800 on strap, so definitely keep an eye out there.

@@BeansAndBezels thanks for the tip!
Another thoughtful balanced review! Your video and camera work is exceptional.

Thanks for watching! The Ultralight looks like an incredible watch, and really the one to have from Weiss. I love how the movement looks on that one.
I agree with all the comments below. Well done. Regarding the L2L, Weiss reports 46.9mm and you, 50mm. With larger watches, the difference is negligible; however, with smaller watches, 3.1mm is significant.
I have the same watch, with black dial. Really like it, feels mid-sized on my 7.25" wrist, and it is a strap monster.
Thanks for watching!
Looks very pilot esc to me! Love the numerals around the dial, that's my type of design. Very legible and clean dial also!

Great Looking Watch, big fan of that sub seconds at the 9 and love the display back on that movement! Great video Keep it up!

Dear Friend,
Your presentation is very good. Myself a big fan of tag heuer watches.
Kindly do a presentation of any Carrera versions 😊
Thank you Jaseel. I will try to find some Carrera watches to present!
I want one but that price tag... debating if i want this or the oris clemente
I'm not a huge fan of Oris, so I'd go with this one. This watch has tons of character!

Thanks, and the 42mm has the ETA6497 which is a pretty awesome movement to look at.
@@BeansAndBezels yes agreed! I like how it fills the whole case back.

21,000 beats weiss
changed that! it does hack when you pull out crown and the second hand goes to 60 minutes Get your facts
right dude!!
Cool
This may sound petty, but I absolutely cannot stand the WEISS logo. There's simply no way I'd want to look at it every single day.
I don't think it is petty. This is definitely not the first time I've heard of people being turned away by a particular logo/font etc.
1200? No thank you 🤣
